cubic Thank you for that - I didn't realise she's a member of the It-works congregation.

thetemptation They are amaaayyyzing eyebrows. The congregation must have been praying to the Prophet Isiah for those. 😉

DayToDayGlobalShit · 28/03/2016 17:42

FFS you are NOT to mention eyebrows on this thread Grin

BSintolerant · 28/03/2016 17:55

Is it true that a member of the resistance broke into a chateau in Droitwich (or was it somewhere near Warwick?) and stole a priceless painting called "The Fallen Madonna with the Big Eyebrows" by van Klomp?

Hello, delurking here. I've read all the threads which has taken a few weeks! I came across MLM as I recently started my own business, I'm a primary school teacher and run a music curriculum website. Joined a few Facebook networking pages, seeing what else is out there. The number of MLMs out there is staggering, all spouting the same crap. I can see the appeal, in what I do i can work from a smartphone and choose my hours , in my pjs if I wish. YEAH Im a total #bossbabe innit. I can see how people get sucked in.To be honest if my business fails it might be my fault, but at least I won't have ripped off 100s of people including friends and family. I've liked TV and quite a few of the posts there. Latest EC vid is fab. Keep up the good work hunz I will keep spreading the word by inviting friends to Like TV :) x

A very small thought as we're nearing the end of this thread.

Do people think that the attitude of the regulators and the 'Powers That Be' in the UK might be influenced at all by some perception that this is all a 'Liitle Lady and her Pin Money' sort of thing? Given that it's mainly women doing it and that the wampum is frequently in the 'domestic' arena?

I've often wondered what the reaction might be if people were using - say - DIY accessories as the wampum/product camouflage?

cozietoesie · 28/03/2016 19:28

Welcome, gotta. Smile

chuckingstones · 28/03/2016 19:32

As I bear witness, throwing was most definitely running for the loos after having that Aloe drink. Coincidence? Who knows? Wink

Toobusytowee · 28/03/2016 19:39

Chucking, I don't think it was a coincidence. Aloe Vera is a constipation cure. The only property that has been clinically proven and legally allowed as a health claim. The only thing that Forever Living don't claim about its products. In fact, they go out of their way to say they removed that bit. Very odd to remove the only bit that can do anything useful. Puzzling. Maybe Mormons are agains pooing on a spiritual level. Does it let Satan in?

gottaloveascamhun · 28/03/2016 19:48

Thanks for the welcome. Oh my GOD. Some crazy Jamberry hun has added Jamverry Consultant to my employment history on FB. I had to approve it for it to be seen by my friends but really??! She is someone I used to know and had been messaging me about the opportunity which I never replied to... unfriend unfriend!!
The psychology of all of this is so fascinating now I know what's behind it.

cozietoesie · 28/03/2016 19:52

gotta

You could be someone she met in the line at the chip shop but if she managed to acquire your details somehow, she'd suddenly - if temporarily - become your bestie. It's the way they're 'encouraged' to expand their list.

BSintolerant · 28/03/2016 19:54

Toobusy I thought you wrote Maybe Mormons are against pooing on a spirit level.

Maybe that explains cozie's theory that the wampum isn't DIY related! 💩😂

gottaloveascamhun · 28/03/2016 19:59

See, I would have expected a few messages about the opportunity blah blah blah. But considering I never once showed any interest or even replied, to add Jamberry to my employment history just took the biscuit!
My friend does Forever and asked me to try the pupp basket (bleugh) and have me some 'mummy don't go to work today' leaflets to pass around. I binned them. Tried the soap from the pupp basket and it's like public toilet soap, left my hands really dry. £12. No thanks!

They go in hard, gotta.

throwingpebbles · 28/03/2016 20:07

Sorry huns, am going 2 have 2 leave the threads, only a few hours since I sipped on some aloe and the weight is falling out of off me, my immune system feels all boostededy, I look 23 years younger, and owning a shiney white 4x4 is the pinnacle of my ambishuns ...
Easter Smile

gottaloveascamhun · 28/03/2016 20:09

They certainly do Cozietoesie!

cozietoesie · 28/03/2016 20:12

I found a YouTube video this afternoon that went some way towards 'explaining' this obsession with cars. (It's always been a personal failing that I couldn't somehow see the innate attraction of a white 4x4.)

throwingpebbles · 28/03/2016 20:16

Ummm don't tease us cozie - linky please!

cozietoesie · 28/03/2016 20:18

Along with seemingly dumping morality behind the goalposts, gotta, it's as if they're 'encouraged' to ignore all the small pointers of interpersonal behaviour.

If the average person, say, lives at 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10 (a glance here, a suggestion there etc etc) these people blast in at 10. All the time. Most people become too tired to resist all this relentless attention.

gottaloveascamhun · 28/03/2016 20:28

Yup Cozie there seems to be a total reprogramming of social awareness as part of the brainwashing...I mean, mindset training. My younique bot regularly posts that she's off to bed with Eric Worre (on her headphones, that is.)
Actually, now I think of it, I was sat in my car with sleeping toddler at the park and stride the other day, getting a spot for the school run. It was too early to walk to the school so I was piddling round on my phone... the car next to me was a white range rover and there was what I thought was an audiobook playing. I BET it was a mindset training CD!!

cozietoesie · 28/03/2016 20:30

Well Glory, Miss throwing. That might be inappropriate. Grin

Who am I to say what you might find if you were searching YouTube for how to make money and get a new car....

gottaloveascamhun · 28/03/2016 21:10

Sorry I should add that I still have a permanent part time teaching job and just run my little biz alongside it as a hobby. Pin money I guess! It must take a massive leap of faith to give up a pension, sick pay, holiday pay, guaranteed monthly salary to enter an MLM so there's no doubt that the hunz genuinely believe it will all be a huge success for them. It's so sad that nearly all of them will leave with nothing but debt and a sour taste in their mouth. I've seen a couple of Body Shop distributors give up recently, they are selling their kit on local FB pages.
