Natasha Did you mistake me for Motorhead in your reply? I'm not sure whether your reply to her was your reply to me. Anyway, I'm a bit confused as your reply didn't really answer my question, although it was a long reply.

My question was specifically: "You have now assigned your tenancy to your mum. Do I have that right? So you have lost your opportunity to buy the house at a discount."
I'm just confused that it was your tenancy (and not, say, your mum's), and that you have assigned it. Thank you in advance for your reply. I guess I just don't understand that to be a rational decision, but that's just me. Smile

Re buying your council house, you then say: "I had friends tell me I was crazy to lose that money BUT I haven't lost it.... I never had it!" Your reply suggests that you were unable to get a mortgage for £125k, which is why you never had it. But this goes against the idea of you earning such a large profit.

I would also like to comment on what you said: "It's a discount on a house that in my opinion isn't worth more than a tenner!" But that's surely disingenuous. It all sounds good, but on the open market, the house is worth perhaps around £200k. If you've lived there for 18 years, then another three would be nothing, surely.

You seem so willing to put in lots of work. But your replies suggest it's not the money that's keeping you in, but a need to make your family proud of you. I just feel a bit sad about that, as having read this forum, I do believe it is a scam.

I think I understand it... no one earns a penny from coaching/training/mentoring. Money is only earned from 1) product sales and 2) a very small amount - perhaps £100 per month - through recruitment.

So why are you all describing yourselves as business coaches, mentors, etc? Is this not a bit misleading? I know a couple of genuine business coaches and they don't flog aloe. My milkman describes his business as selling milk and other products - he is very sucessful and has given a lot of help and advice to others but he does not describe his business as business coaching.

I have a very good friend who seems to believe that she will earn her living through life coaching and mentoring via FLP - how is this possible if there is no income stream from coaching/mentoring/training? The only income is only from the product (plus small recruitment bonus). I cannot understand how you can earn £50k per month selling 'heathcare' products. It seems crazy! There must be so much mark up on the products to cover all the different levels of commission.

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 13:44

lurky are we gonna need some popcorn? 🤔

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 13:44

Charged for Facebook groups?????
In almost two years I have never known anyone to do this! If that has happened to someone I would advise them that that is absolutely uneccessary and all upline support pages are 100% free!!

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 13:51

shirley excellent analogy with the milkman there...

Toobusytowee · 16/03/2016 13:52

Yeah, 'healthcare' products. More like plant juice and stolen bees' food.

Those poor worker bees going out to the fields working all day, collecting all that pollen, only for it to be taken off them when they get home. Someone else then makes money from it and the bee is left hungry. Will no one think of the bees?

The tenancy is mine! My mum lives with me for personal reasons. When I made the decision to move my mum didn't want to and huge changes worry her so I wanted to make sure she had somewhere secure to live. The council are aware of this and had advised that I had the right to assign my tenancy to her. Money tied up in a council house I don't own is money I haven't got and never had! No I'm not money driven, however that's not to say I'm an idiot and can't work out when I'm spending and not earning so what I earn and what I spend I am more than happy with. (I was an accounts assistant in my early twenties so I do understand figures they just give me a headache!!)
I may have to return to that area at some point and yes I could suffer it but knowing I can go when I want makes a massive difference. There are personal reasons for this that aren't relevant to this thread. I have a very laid back attitude to this, yes of course I would like to own a home and it's in the plan for the future but I enjoy not having the responsibility of home ownership too! I love that I can pack up and move to another house with no drama... I'm an indecisive person always have been so I usually decorate every 3 months.... Renting is a better option for me at the moment! It was a family member that stopped me from buying originally as they knew I would change my mind again! And I did!

It's just the way that works for me personally, not everyone would be happy like that

cozietoesie · 16/03/2016 13:55

Invert sugar, Toobusy.

You may wish to give it another name of course. Grin

Toobusytowee · 16/03/2016 13:57

It is happening Natasha, maybe not in your lines but a lot of people are being charged. I won't say who is doing it as I need to protect people's anonymity but maybe now I have raised the issue, people will look into it?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 14:00

I couldn't get a mortgage as I have under 2 years of accounts (self employed mortgages not easy)

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 14:04

Thats exactly what you SHOULD be sharing!!
Get noisy about things like that!!!!
you should be telling head office about exactly this problem! We are absolutely not allowed to do that!

That's the first time I've ever heard that and my opinion is its wrong!

Toobusytowee · 16/03/2016 14:04

No one has said how aloe and bee products should be sold if you remove the health claims.

Thanks for the links Cozie. Here's another one that newbies might find helpful. It's aimed at people in MLMs who are having doubts about it. Also worth a read if you are being prospected.

LeanneBattersby · 16/03/2016 14:18

Natasha who do I report non-compliance to? I have several FLOs on my timeline who are not just breaking the guidelines, they are taking them, ripping them to shreds and stamping on the bits. One of them has a downline of more than 100 and is the boss of her own team so I'm not sure if she doesn't know the guidelines, or just doesn't care about them. I'd rather give her a chance to remove them before I go to the ASA but I don't want to directly message her on FB as it would cause a complete shitstorm at the school gate.

Bovnydazzlers · 16/03/2016 14:31

Natasha thanks for coming back again.

I've posted a few questions before which I don't think you've had a chance to answer if you could take the time :)

  1. what is your view of some of top UK FBOs going out to poor African nations to recruit people who are by all accounts in poverty, where the business in the box will cost many months salary, KNOWING only a tiny fraction of those people will make any profit?

  2. Do you know anyone who has been able to retire on their residual income (I think the QLS training said after 3-5 years in the business)?

  3. What is the percentage of people in your team (including your downlines down line) now vs total people that have ever been in your down line (ie total churn as an actual percentage!).

You come across as as personable and good humoured, but I am really struggling to see how anyone can get high up in MLMs whilst staying ethical. I just don't get it.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 14:35

LurkyLurker that's news to me!! Having known this lady for 18 months and being on numerous holidays together she has never suggested to me that she was going to push the business and eventually resigned. I've never known her to actively team build, having family members come in with you for them to earn an extra top up income was probably more likely the case there to be fair. She certainly never recruited to build a big business that I can be sure of! She would have had to build a ridiculous substantial income in FL before she could walk away from her other business for a start! I could be wrong but it's unlikely given that we talk quite openly about FL.

throwingpebbles · 16/03/2016 14:38

natasha you say that you can say the gel "supports a healthy immune system"....but this is just a euphemistic and arguably deceitful way of saying it "does nothing at all". So i want to know, how does one sell a foul tasting drink when the only accurate and non-misleading sales line would be - try this. It wont improve your health in anyway, but it will make you poo lots and it might cause cancer

I would love to know Even a single pot of the gel gets sold without some element of deceit.

Lurkylurker · 16/03/2016 14:40

I am very surprised that she says that, I can prove it if you would like? Maybe you aren't as close as you thought.

ambler21 · 16/03/2016 14:41

Bovny
I am also interested in the success stories from past years. Natasha can you point us to some concrete examples of people who retired after 2-5 years and now live off the residual income. This is the dream my dear friends have been sold by a very high up FLbot. I would love to see some examples because currently they are grinding themselves into the floor for very little result but still recite the mantra about 2-5 years and compound growth in the last year's etc.....all with a fixed maniacal smile.

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 14:43

Yes, I will be needing popcorn! (Settles in for an interesting 'debate'...)

ambler21 · 16/03/2016 14:44

Sry should read exponential growth.

shirleyknotanotherbot · 16/03/2016 14:44

Hmmm. Is it compliant to say the products assist digestion, absorption of nutrients, weight management, boosting energy levels?

shirleyknotanotherbot · 16/03/2016 14:48

I only ask because of these claims.

Yes ambler Good question! where are the people living a life of Riley on the much vaunted "residual income"? Where are the families living a life of luxury on a "willable income" ????

throwingpebbles · 16/03/2016 14:50

Send that one to bot watch Shirley! Smile
