Welcome, Evil.Smile

prettyusefulsometimes · 19/03/2016 10:06

As Trump is often touted as a MLM guru (!) interesting to see this list of his failed businesses from a Gawker article:
gawker.com/a-complete-list-of-donald-trump-s-business-disasters-1764151188

The Trump Network is definitely on there!

As to reaching out to ex or potential MLM participants I guess rather like the MLMs you need to know their "whys" (!!) and then offer impartial advice? With the MLM participants I know there were definitely money worries so a first port of call for advice could be:

www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators or
www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/en

Maybe it's disillusionment from their job. There is a growing online network of free courses to try if you're thinking of changing careers:

www.futurelearn.com/

There's a huge amount of info on these threads as to why you should run a mile and more from all MLMs but there's a possibility it gets too negative. Some guidance as to how to avoid them/there's another way would be excellent.

throwingpebbles · 19/03/2016 10:14

evil pm me and I will send the info on to bot watch if you like Smile

EvilBug · 19/03/2016 10:30

throwingpebbles sent, thank you.

Twunk · 19/03/2016 10:37

Yes I meant ordinary Bots, though of course any extraordinary ones too Grin

Twunk · 19/03/2016 10:48

I can see it as an overview of what an MLM is and how they manipulate so well, the "fake it till you don't make it", all the downsides - the unpaid labour, the churn rate, the risks, and yes other sources of income, where to get help and support etc

holdontoyourbutts · 19/03/2016 10:49

One of my bots has brought a massive 5 bedroom house and she's moving in a couple of weeks.

The house she's 'brought' is still up for sale online.

Twunk · 19/03/2016 10:50

Thanks prettyuseful that's what I'm talking about.

We can actually print some leaflets or just have them as a pdf to send out and download.

cozietoesie · 19/03/2016 10:50

I don't think that that's generally the direction of the money flow, Twunk. Wink

As far as I'm aware, they have to pay to attend. Happy to stand corrected on that one of course. Smile

Speakers are not paid for appearances at success days. Just to clarify.

Twunk · 19/03/2016 11:02

Yeah Cozie maybe it's for the shizzles - which is why I'm wondering...

Twunk · 19/03/2016 11:03

Thanks Bingo so more unpaid labour then? Wow

MimsyPimsy · 19/03/2016 11:05

I think some of them would actually pay FL to make the speeches, Smile because they are in it partly for the affirmation and #hugz, if you see what I mean.

Twunk · 19/03/2016 11:09

holdon it's par for the course re any major changes or purchases! When politicians do it we call it "spin"

FLhahaha · 19/03/2016 11:22

twunk there is a 'training' cost line in the FLP accounts so I suppose that could be paying speakers.....??

Twunk · 19/03/2016 11:30

Apparently they aren't paid. If true they do it for the adulation to support their fellow "business owners"

cozietoesie · 19/03/2016 11:30

Thanks Bingo. That's rather why I said 'one way or another'. Wink

cozietoesie · 19/03/2016 11:31

Or to be precise - 'one way or the other'. Grin

Twunk · 19/03/2016 11:38

Cozie I got confused - I thought you were saying "the ordinary distributors" about my idea for a leaflet.

No I meant speakers for the success days - the Uberbots. But no, seems not. Wow.

But then they go abroad and stuff - seen one UK bot give a talk to Benelux for example. They get paid for that - I think they have a separate company

cozietoesie · 19/03/2016 11:44

Cash flows, Twunk. Cash flows. Wink

Twunk · 19/03/2016 11:45

quite.

NorbertDentressangle · 19/03/2016 11:46

Worcestershire Bots have palmed their kids onto family and friends and given up their Saturday a big today at the very exciting and exotic sounding "Chateau".

It doesn't have the same exotic ring to it when you realise the "Chateau" is in Droitwich Wink

ArthurSnopes · 19/03/2016 12:23

I never said the accounts were late. It's the annual return on one of her other companies.

ArthurSnopes · 19/03/2016 12:30

Not sure what a " norman " is either Confused
Should I be offended?
