As expected.....

Anything I do say is taken, twisted, picked at and ignored!

Fabulous! Stop asking questions if you don't want answers! There's a thought!

Right well from what I can make out even though I've pointed out your inaccuracy on many occasions (for me personally) it is still being implied I am a liar, a fake and now committing fraud?

Is that accurate? I wouldn't want to assume I'd like to make sure I am 100% clear and factual on that! 😉👍🏻

cozietoesie · 16/03/2016 10:47

Actually, 'You cannot argue so effectively with friends' might be better, Melaw. We're brought up, generally, to be nice to people we know - helpful and thoughtful etc etc etc - so when one of those approaches you, you're immediately at a disadvantage, especially so if you're vulnerable for some reason.

Eyespying · 16/03/2016 10:47

ambler21 Whenever I'm confronted with cult adherents posing as victims, I'm reminded of the reaction of the boss of the 'Aum' cult, when he was caught and arrested.

Chizuo Matsumoto (the Japanese equivalent of John Smith) styled himself as 'The Great Enlightened One.' Ultimately, he tried to gas the entire population of Tokyo and trigger WWIII. When this didn't work and 'Aum' whistleblowers were finally heeded, Matsumoto hid in his secret underground bunker for an number days, before Japanese security forces traced him.

Matsumoto was sat in the lotus position wearing a silk robe which he'd soiled. By his side was a transistor radio and the equivalent of several millions dollars in cash.

As the security forces began to handcuff Matsumoto, he tried to give them the following deeply-deluded command:

Take your profane hands off my sacred body.

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 10:48

Good advice there from Mr Twain IMHO...

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 10:49

And Cozie yes, I see where you are coming from... Always "beware the wolf in sheeps clothing" and all that...

Eyespying · 16/03/2016 10:52

Melaw21 Personally, I think we might now be dealing with a flock of sheep in wolf's clothing.

cozietoesie · 16/03/2016 10:52

I remember well some of Cubic's 'scripts' in that regard. Chilling.

throwingpebbles · 16/03/2016 10:53

I am not interested in you natasha or indeed any particular buddies of yours. My comments are made generally. I am focussing on this phenomenon as a whole, and the patterns and scripts and methods.

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 10:54

Would be interested to hear if there are any lurkers who became mlm business 'owners' (ugh...I think a bit of sick just came up then) and did so out of guilt towards their friend/s or family members? To 'support them' etc But then tried to make it work (and failed) to recoup the money lost signing up and save face?

LMGTFY · 16/03/2016 10:54

Loads of us asked questions which were either ignored or 'answered' with round about evasive babble. eyes keeps asking the same question but instead of a single answer he gets called a bully for repeating himself! Perhaps we do make incorrect assumptions and draw conclusions from the evidence we see, however not one person has proved them wrong. I've said before I am happy to be proved wrong so I can rest easy my friend isn't being conned. Right, tea break over, back to the 'grind' eh? Good job when I get home after the children have finished school we can just have fun!

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 10:54

I agree with you Motorheadmum ..... This is a problem for those of us that do it properly too!!
I report anything I see that is uncompliant, and I would advise everybody to do the same!!

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 10:55

Agreed eyes m!

MimsyPimsy · 16/03/2016 10:55

Natasha, I admire the hard work you are putting into your MLM, and I hope it all goes well for you, as from what you posted, you had a difficult past.

I saw the original post about moving, and it did read as though you had bought the barn, so it is not surprising others thought that that was what you meant. I certainly thought that's what you meant.

I'm also confused about another thing. I remember your post said that you walked away from an 18 year secure tenancy and a £75k discount. Just to clarify re the council house: I read this as meaning you lived in your council house for the past 18 years (from, I guess, 1988), and you could have bought the place yourself with a £75k discount. Is that correct?

This really worried me at the time, because MLM isn't secure income. Did you take financial advice. Who is living in your old house now? Is it still another family member (so the £75k discount is not lost)? I hope this is the case – although I have no idea about how the discount works. Or has the house gone back into housing stock?

I hope you do not find the questions too intrusive. However, the original post was public. I believe it was also reposted by your friends. Some might feel your post was being used as bait to lure people into investing in MLMs. Therefore, I think it’s important to be transparent.

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 10:55

Sorry, random m Confused

Twunk · 16/03/2016 10:56

as a "business owner" for an MLM you are encouraged - no compelled to continuously recruite more and more people, regardless of whether there is market saturation in one locality or group of acquaintances.

It is NOT about the product - after all, forever, Younique et al could just sell via the Internet, or in Boots, or even via reps if they paid you properly.

Instead they get thousands of women putting in hundreds or thousands of unpaid or underpaid labour and harassing their friends and family in order to buy mediocre products, many of which are far far cheaper in the shops or online.

It is a scam. A very good one. I'm impressed! Seriously I am. And how clever to go for women - I'm reasonably convinced that as so many women do it for so-called "pocket money" few have taken this racketeering seriously.

It is scandalous.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 10:58

LMGTFY ..... I proved them wrong where I was concerned!! Not one person has yet accepted that TV were unjustified!
They did not know me, did not ask me before assuming, they took wrong assumption and started it as FACT!

Still waiting for a single ounce of acknowledgement for that!

I won't get it obviously! I mean just think of the backlash... If they admit that one post was BS it discredits all the others! I get it! So I sit patiently reminding everyone reading these threads to bare that in mind!

Like this thread keeps saying.... You can't believe everything you read! This thread is no exception!

Lurkylurker · 16/03/2016 10:59

That you for the welcome everyone. Smile I won't share my story as I think it would be quite obvious to some who I am but let's just say that collusion is rife within Forever Living. I have witnessed some things that would shock you all. Keep it up everyone Smile

cozietoesie · 16/03/2016 11:01

I have a suspicion that at least a proportion of people become adherents 'just to help out', Melaw. I'm not sure if that's 'guilt' as such - more a fellow feeling for others, I reckon, especially if they've seemed to be going through a rough time.

Eyespying · 16/03/2016 11:04

Can I just say that it is quite remarkable how all the regulars on these threads have been arriving at virtually the same conclusions I once was forced to arrive at.

It's quite an exhilarating experience to discover so many diverse individuals who have taken the same determined, common-sense attitude to discovering the truth about 'MLM,' as me. MN TV has also maintained a healthy sense of humour, which at times can be almost impossible.

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 11:04

No problem lurky, totally understandable, especially given the backlash it is now quite clear you would receive! should you ever wish to speak in total confidence, the good people who run TV will be more than happy to chat with you!

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 11:06

In it for the longhaul eyes 😉😉
regardless of the intimidation tactics at hand! The game is up.... People have had enough now.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 16/03/2016 11:07

Mimsypimsy I'm happy to answer that even though my council house is irrelevant to this thread!
I had a secure tenancy from 1998 not 1988! I was only 9 years old in 1988!!
I had the right to assign my tenancy and at present my mother occupies that house (she has lived with me for a while due to health reasons)
The council are fully aware of this. I CANNOT pass my discount to my mum, only my tenancy.
I am of the attitude, if it meant to be it will be... I have always been a "fly by the seat of your pants" kind of personality. I do brave (or stupid) things because I have a desire for adventure and doing things that push me or scare me! I've always been like that, I've walked out of jobs that I hated with no fear of how I will pay bills... I have replaced that job with another by the following day! Maybe having seen so much tragedy as a child made me grow up with a "life's too short" attitude I don't know.
But I don't worry about the income, if I never earned more I'm happy... I'm not greedy and have always given to others before myself so if I had no money at all I would still smile, get up, dust myself off and try again. I suppose that's irresponsible to many and I understand that but for me it's exciting and that keeps me on my toes enjoying life xx

Melaw21 · 16/03/2016 11:07

And below! Sorry younglings! Lol
