I often say I am going to switch off for the night and then hours later I am still up working.

Tonight I am here sticking up for myself, it is what it is.

VegoDoll · 21/02/2016 01:41

I stand by my argument. Is that not obvious no?

lastuseraccount123 · 21/02/2016 01:44

vego belive it or not it's not personal. You are a good person in a difficult situation.

I know you stand by your argument, as you should, because it's your livelihood and your money and our analysis is a threat to that.

But you haven't provided any evidence of anything, just your word.

Is there really not a better way for you to make money? you seem like a talented, intelligent person.

Gimlet1984 · 21/02/2016 01:45

It seems more like you are being aggressive because you don't like what we have said to you. At the end of the day we all know the truth of mlms and how they operate. If you want to continue doing it then that's fine it's your choice. You are more than welcome to engage with us when you change your mind but this behaviour is doing no one any good at all.

VegoDoll · 21/02/2016 01:47

Please continue fighting the cause then, just stop laughing at people as you come across as a hypocrite.

It seems some MLM's cause people to lose lots of money. I always recommend that my team purchase products ONLY when they have a customer order and charge for P&P so there is no risk.

I did ask how is it possible for someone to get into debt with an MLM, other then defaulting on a "free car lease", I was genuinely curious and nobody on this thread answered?

VegoDoll · 21/02/2016 01:52

I'm just fed up of being made out to be a bad person when I am not. I have been called a con artist, practically a cult leader" and someone who preys on vulnerable women. How do you expect me to react?

You keep asking for proof. I'm not giving strangers financial information!

lastuseraccount123 · 21/02/2016 01:52

I'm not worried about being a hypocrite, or being seen as one. We still need to laugh at some of the MLM antics, because it's impotant to illustrate how scripted it is and how they are trying to draw people in, esp. vulnerable people.

I know you don't want to answer the questions that we asked of you because they are difficult to answer, but turning questions back on us won't work either. YOu are asking us to believe you, without evidence.

I truly hope you make it out of your MLM soon as you deserve better, imo.

lastuseraccount123 · 21/02/2016 01:54

vego

I know you don't want to think of yourself as a bad person and I'm sure in your heart you are a good person, but if you are in an MLM with a downline of people, you are taking money off people who will most likely not make it back. That's not okay.

OP posts:
VegoDoll · 21/02/2016 01:56

Again, people only place an order when they have an order. There is no loss.

lastuseraccount123 · 21/02/2016 01:57

we only have your word for that, vego.

and you are the upline, so ...arguably you are in a conflict of interest when it comes to talking about your downline.

OP posts:
VegoDoll · 21/02/2016 02:00

Telling people to place orders for products when they have no orders is wrong!

In actual fact, I considered another company briefly before this one, but my upline wanted me to purchase a really expensive VIP package in exchange for placing people underneath me...I told him where to go!

If what he suggested happens a lot, then yes I can see how people could get into debt as that is so wrong!

But how many more times do I need to tell you, that I NEVER encourage anyone in my team to purchase products unless the customer has ALREADY paid them for it including the postage and packaging!

VegoDoll · 21/02/2016 02:03

All I know is that is how I run MY team. I cannot account for any other person in my company telling their team to do something completely different.

I would NOT be able to sleep at night if I knew members of my team were getting themselves into debt to purchase products with no orders. It is crazy to even think about.

cozietoesie · 21/02/2016 06:51

Out of interest, would people have any words of advice for those who have been sucked into an MLM, want to get out of their situation but just don't know how ? How would they go about it?

MrGrumpy01 · 21/02/2016 07:26

Of course people get into debt, it isn't buying the products it is everything else. The training days, books, website fees etc. We know people have sold their houses to rent bigger more expensive houses, whilst maybe not leading to debt it is not a wise financial decision.

I don't know anyone who sells or uses your products yet somehow we are supposed to believe that people make thousands and thousands from the sale of them. Except they don't because most of the money is cyclic.

Motorheadmum · 21/02/2016 08:31

vego as I said before I was involved in Arbonne after being conned and yes it was conned into joining ( hence why Arbonne refunded me 100%, as well as refunding 5 others I made contact with as we had been conned) i cringe inwardly now everytime I see a fb FL or JP etc post. This thread and the others prior have been a massive eye opener to me. I was made to feel like I was a failure by the top up lines, yet I am successful at my full time job. I was made to feel like this even though I had a child with cancer at the time. I am sick of seeing posts by FL. Ariix and JP bots claiming their snake oil cures medical conditions, when they don't and have no medical facts to back this up. I am sick of seeing other friends on maternity leave or who have had other things happen being hassled numerous times by the same people to join their snake oil gangs.

If it wasn't for the likes of threads like these or TV, or botwatch there would be a lot more people joining these at ridiculous prices buying stock they can't afford just to stay active. People at the top don't care and couldn't care how they are being funded.

I have seen all this so I feel this needs to be brought into the open.

throwingpebbles · 21/02/2016 08:32

Here's what I think

  1. vego , like an adept politician, is choosing to ignore a lot of very legitimate questions that have been asked
  2. vego by her own admission is unable to keep up with the detail of what all her "5,000" are up to, so how s/he can make unequivocal statements about their behaviour I don't know
  3. even if we give vego the benefit of the doubt and assume what she is saying is true, then she is one of those rare exceptions, a super shiney diamond bot or what ever they call themselves. The tragedy is all the thousands made promises that can never be realised
  4. this conversation is getting very circular and achieving nothing. vego is just essentially giving the same answer again and again and ignoring any questions she doesn't want to answer

So can we get back to all the real things we know are happening? To the answers that are right out there in people's own experience and in the clear evidence on so many Facebook pages

vego I really hope you get out soon and set up that cake making business, it sounds lovely.

Paddybare · 21/02/2016 08:43

Saw this on a the area page for our local FL team. I really do think we're rattling the right cages. I would love to read what the new policy says so will keep looking to see if I can actually find the policy. The "no excuses for not knowing now" line is interesting.

This exchange wih Vegodoll is becoming increasingly absurd. The comic-book Cinderella rags to riches character (who claims an impressive made up title and to have acquired 5000+ recruits) is asking us to take everything he/she says on faith, when everything being said is self-evidently 'MLM' BS, babble and white noise. As soon as anyone applies common-sense and asks for evidence, the self-righteous character poses as a victim who is tired and exhausted by all her hard work.

Top of the list of questions which cannot be answered by this tedious 'MLM' propagandist is how many more recruits are required by your alleged 5000+ recruits for them to reach the same profitable level in the 'NuSkin' pyramid which you pretend to occupy, and how many more recruits would it require for all of these further recruits to duplicate the same example, etc. ad finitum?

Cinderella will dodge these common-sense questions by pretending that not everyone who joins 'Nuskin' expects to make money, etc. etc.

Anyone directly engaging with this type of 'MLM' cult propagandist ends up dancing round in ever decreasing jargon-laced circles.

throwingpebbles · 21/02/2016 08:48

There are certainly extracts of it at bot watch paddy

That advert is fascinating!! But if you look at bot watch you will see that their policies say one thing, but what they encourage people to do in training is quite the opposite. This structure is all about benefitting from people making ridiculous claims while being able to detach from them through "policies"

nextyearrodney · 21/02/2016 08:55

I think it's interesting that vego is trying to make out that we're all quietly sniggering at the top bots behind their backs. This is a public thread and we deliberately choose a thread title to help it show up in google searches.

We thought by pointing out in a lighthearted way the smoke and mirror claims that those in the mlms make our reach would be greater and more women would understand the reality of what a mlm really is. And has been proved time and time again by the current, ex and potential mlm members coming forward that this approach is clearly working.

There is nothing secretive about what we say in this thread, whereas vego is very secretive about the answers to our questions about her downlines earnings. Vego is probably telling the truth that she doesn't know as she wants to keep up the pretence to herself that she isn't ripping people off.

Kanga59 · 21/02/2016 08:55

Vegodoll.. One minute she wants to stay and convince us all she is not doing any scamming and the next she is leaving the thread because we won't buy it.

She can't understand the business model if she truly thinks it's the same as a CEO making more money than the factory workers.

who loses money by working in a factory? do the workers need to recruit their friends into factory jobs in order they get promoted?

I'm struggling to understand vegodolls motives for staying on the thread. twice she had left and once more said she is leaving because we won't believe what she is saying (because it's not true) yet here she remains, being increasingly aggressive and argumentative.

vegodoll have you read the evidence on TV? what do you think of the info there? Do you have any evidence to counter it?

Annie65 · 21/02/2016 09:07

Seems like my family member is doing the full weekend at London. That means she has paid £50 just for the ticket. Will see if she has been promoted today or not.

cozietoesie · 21/02/2016 09:10

Some people can become genuinely worried - even if they're apparently in the thick of things - about the sustainability and morality of what they're doing. Just sayin'.

It's a 'looking hard at yourself in the wee small hours' sort of thing.

ambler21 · 21/02/2016 09:10

Went out for beers. Slept. Woke up to many new pages. #veryproudofourteamrightnow
Eeeeeeeeek!

Motorheadmum · 21/02/2016 09:10

annie my FL bot is only doing today as well... Wonder what that's about? She was so full of the success weekend!
