Welcome Natasha. Why did you imply that you'd purchased your barn when in fact you were renting it? Thank you

workingwithchimps · 23/02/2016 17:27

Eye spy is full of misinformation - can't said it best when they said the head was shiny

VegoDoll · 23/02/2016 17:28

Natasha, I don't know what stage you are at in your company. But lately every person who asks to join ALWAYS asks what it has took for me to get to this position. I always say, do you really want to know? ;)

Patzy85 · 23/02/2016 17:28

Natasha how many people in your own downline have lost money taking up this 'business opportunity'?

Statistically over 90% of people don't make it past the first year. What separates the successful MLMers from the ones who left?

fastdaytears · 23/02/2016 17:29

Vego you don't know who Natasha is? Natasha of the is-it-her-barn-is-it-not? [hyperventilates] never mind your diamonds, NS is MLM royalty.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:30

So pleased you asked this as this is one of my biggest annoyances with misinformed opinion.
There's two things about this that you have to consider. 1. I wasn't prepared to "sell" I hate sales ironically! I was happy that the product worked for me and therefore recommended to people I knew, there are some products I've used (ours) that I find aren't as good for me personally as other brands... Shampoo etc. But I can give an honest opinion because I have actually used what I sell! So would you not expect if someone was being honest that they would use their own products??

  1. Do we HAVE to?? No! Personal case credits is actually ANY SALES through your ID number and does not mean you have to spend your own money.

This info that we have to buy £160 a month is actually untrue!

CheekySmile · 23/02/2016 17:31

Vego thank you for your reply. I'm glad you're doing well and you've got what you wanted out of it, I'm just so fed up of seeing these opportunities advertised as 'earn £200-£2000 per month for just 10-15 hours work' and then we know that people have been told it was because they didn't work hard enough when it doesn't happen for them. The odds are always stacked against them from the start, they're sold in a dream that doesn't exist, and made to feel like a failure.
How can we not want to do something about that? (especially when it's happened to so many of us, or our loved ones, hence the high temperatures on this thread.)

Patzy85 · 23/02/2016 17:31

natasha

"This info that we have to buy £160 a month is actually untrue!"

So you do not use the products yourself?

fastdaytears · 23/02/2016 17:31

Natasha how did you buy that stuff to try out with only £17 in the bank?

Eyespying · 23/02/2016 17:32

'Eye spy is full of misinformation'

Seeing as workingwithchimpsimplies that only he/she has accurate information, perhaps he/she can tell us how many individuals overall have signed annual contracts with his/her so-called 'MLM income opportunity' since it was first instigated?

VegoDoll · 23/02/2016 17:32

I have no idea who Natasha is fastday, I AM glad more people in MLM are coming forward to add balance to the conversation though.

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:33

Far from royalty, I've taken it as a huge compliment that my name was even mentioned! The barn is a rental, I never assumed for a minute that anyone would think I'd purchased it!!! I have always been very open and honest about my life long before MLM so to go from a single mum with a debt ridden history to home owner in a week wasn't even something I considered would be taken that way!!

Eyespying · 23/02/2016 17:36

I'm still waiting for an answer from NatashaBarnBotShingles

How many individuals overall have signed annual contracts with her so-called 'MLM income opportunity' since it was first instigated?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:37

I worked previously in the care industry and had been saving £20 here and there for almost 4 years to save for my daughters driving lessons. I was going to originally join with a £100 minimum order as I had interest straight away from family wanting the drinking gel which would've covered it, but my daughter told me to do it properly and treat it as a business so she actually gave me the money!! She still supports to this day and it has honestly been life changing for us but not just in income.... There's far more to MLM than signing people up and it's not always possible to even put that across on a message

Patzy85 · 23/02/2016 17:39

If you're in a secure financial situation, why would you rent a property as it would surely make fiscal sense to invest your earnings?

nextyearrodney · 23/02/2016 17:41

'The barn is a rental, I never assumed for a minute that anyone would think I'd purchased it!!! I have always been very open and honest about my life long before MLM so to go from a single mum with a debt ridden history to home owner in a week wasn't even something I considered would be taken that way!!'

So when you realised people did think you'd bought the barn how did you set them right on your public Facebook page?

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:41

Yes of course I do, I genuinely believe in them and use them for a health condition. Do I have to??? No! How much do I spend? About £60 a month regularly but I can afford to do that. I never ever tell someone to spend money they don't have or get in debt, I want people in my team to find success not leave disheartened and upset! I'm from a care background, I genuinely care about people!

VegoDoll · 23/02/2016 17:42

Cheekysmiles, like I said before, I actually DO think it is wrong to imply you can retire in a year, and sip cocktails on a beach just by doing 5-10 hours a week. Those hours seem absurd to me, when I think about how many hours I have done. So I do agree, that aspect is wrong because they are basically lying. But, not everyone in MLM lies to people to get them in the door.

My friend met Eric Worre (Network Marketing guru) last year (has 27,000 in her downline), and she told him how she wants to achieve balance with her business. Apparently he said to her that if you are really serious about achieving this " life changing income " balance doesn't really happen for a good 3-5 years. He is a firm advocate of being truthful about this industry though, no spamming, silly memes etc. He did a video about this very topic recently.

fastdaytears · 23/02/2016 17:42

Do you think that spending money becoming a FL business owner is a good opportunity for someone who lives in the third world?

bulstrode · 23/02/2016 17:42

Still doesn't explain why there are personal case credits requirements at all. Surely it should be up to the individual what they spend on products. Not to mention the other expenses.

workingwithchimps · 23/02/2016 17:43

Eyespying - in answer to your question - I don't know - there are a couple of hundred MLM companies out there many several millions of distributors doing their own thing - some earn - some don't - with most companies you start at the bottom and work your way up - to quantify how many is impractical and probably impossible - seeing as I have no way of gaining that information

NatashaBarnBotShingles · 23/02/2016 17:43

The first people that I know of that have assumed it was purchased was the mumsnet blog!! Timeless vie have actually put 2 of my FB posts up on their blog and have completely got it wrong! So you see when people see a post they assume we are being dishonest..... When in fact that's not the case. A quick... Is this true? Would've saved that embarrassment on their part!

workingwithchimps · 23/02/2016 17:45

Fast - People in the so called third world have also made a living - somehow they found the money to start and with hard work - made a success - it does not matter where you start - its about where you finish

Patzy85 · 23/02/2016 17:46

Working with chimps - are you having a laugh! You need to do your research. People have lost a LOT in third worlds! Can someone link her up please.
