toobusy - I'm just suspicious of anything that comes from these companies as it's never what it seems on the surface!

Can't help but wonder what their motive is Hmm

Toobusytowee · 20/02/2016 17:24

Yes Norbert, so am I. I suppose it doesn't matter what the charity is, it will still help the MLM. Worker bee bot sells her stuff for a week, declaring all her profits will go to a charity. She wins because she still gets her personal CCs. Her uplines win because they get a percentage of the sales and the MLM company win because people are buying their products.

Eyespying · 20/02/2016 17:46

Again this justice-obstructing technique has been copied from the 'Amway' original. Public association with charity has helped all 'MLM' racketeers to hide in plain sight and prevent victims from complaining (for fear that no ne will take them seriously). Shades of Jimmy Savile.

Members of my family laughed out loud at the slightest suggestion that 'Amway' was a fraud, and they pointed to 'Amway's' association with UNICEF.

NameChangeEr · 20/02/2016 17:56

Being stupid here, why do people refer to their jobs as J.O.B. ? A, I missing it standing for something?

MrGrumpy01 · 20/02/2016 18:03

It is what the mlms refer to any other employment as. It is a derogatory term and stands for Just Over Broke. It is said with a sneer and contempt towards anyone not in their mlm.

Here it is used with a sarcastic undertone.

Eyespying · 20/02/2016 18:05

NameChangeEr - 'MLM' Bots were first programmed to label ordinary working folk 'J.O.B.s' (short for Just Over Broke) in the 1960s. The reality-inverting, ritual belief being that anyone who works for someone else for a living, must be inferior to any Bot, because Bots work for themselves.

TheCatsTiara · 20/02/2016 18:09

OMG Huns Timeless Vie has competition from Lush! Bet it's not even proper parslai - they haven't even spelt it right!

Well it isn't as pure as ours as we only use the outside of the leaf.

TheCatsTiara · 20/02/2016 18:20

True Grumpy and I've just noticed it also contains aloe gel - sacrilege!

Annie65 · 20/02/2016 18:40

Well my family member has gone to the success day and has not got any awards. So she has not even reached Supervisor yet. She has been in it for 10 months now. I feel so angry about it for her, although she is that brain-washed by it all she wouldnt thank me if I said anything to her. She has paid for train fare, night in hotel, meals out, food and drinks, and the ticket to get in. What for? To get so called training and listen to a bunch of people telling their life stories. Oh and watch other people go up on stage. What a load of bull-shit. Angry

TheCatsTiara · 20/02/2016 18:52

Annie it's just rotten. One of my boys I is there too and I wish she wasn't.

Lovewineandchocs · 20/02/2016 18:54

Annie
I know, it is horrendous that they put so much pressure on people to go to those things. I went to a few and got nothing out of them at all, just ended up annoyed that I'd given up time with my family and spent money needlessly. Hope your family member soon sees the light.

Paddybare · 20/02/2016 19:42

Posted by a bot who went to the 'success day' today. Oh the irony. Sickening really.

Horrific paddy

BSintolerant · 20/02/2016 20:09

Do you remember the post on the money saving expert blog where an actress said she was paid to go to one of those events to walk across a stage to collect one of those large cheques? She didn't name which dodgy mlm scheme paid her, but still ...

DeliciousIrony · 20/02/2016 20:11

I would like to propose Moose Plus as a rival for Timeless Vie.

BSintolerant · 20/02/2016 20:12

Hello,

My plan is to get myself to at least blue diamond, which I am on track to be by May. i will continue building for at least 12 months, then I will stop completely. I will allow the residual income to keep coming in, till it dwindles to nothing. But, I would like to add that will take a good while, if you look up what the average earnings of a blue diamond is.

I agree with all of you, it is not good for my health to go at it this hard. But, I did say that I am a work a holic in nature anyway, before I went into MLM this was what I was like, I just wasn't as well paid. I would do it all over again in a heart beat, if it meant I could improve my financial situation in the way I have.

I don't talk to anybody or try and " recruit " anyone in real life. I don't need to, I have a huge social media following.

VegoDoll · 20/02/2016 20:50

Pressed send too soon. But, I am thinking about owning a cake shop, it is a dream of mine. So that is the plan.

I haven't looked at timelessvie, but I am guessing you are demonstrating how many people in MLM are basically glorified spammers. There are loads of people in my downline who spam all day long and it drives me nuts to be honest. But, what can I do? I don't teach them to do that, and have even written guides on the correct way to market. But many people in my team have been in direct sales for years and years and have their way of doing things and that's that. I do not make anyone do anything.

VegoDoll, re your post two above:

I am curious, what does your diary look like on a typical 14-19h day? how do you fill all those working hours?

And re you second post above:

What is the correct way to recruit?

VegoDoll · 20/02/2016 21:03

And thanks for the hugs.

As for what takes 15-19 hours a day. Well from the moment I get up, I will check my phone and see over 120+notifications across my social media profiles. I make it known in my team page, that I am around for support. As soon as I do that, my inbox fills up quick. My facebook account sits at around 30 new inboxes at any one time, they are mainly from my team requesting help. It takes me at least the morning to go through all of those.

I then work my social media accounts, and do leadership calls. I also do corporate training calls, on a Tuesday/Thursday. But, the majority of my day is spent supporting my team. My phone pings constantly. So of course I have to prioritise who wants my help, and who doesn't. I have 5332 people in my downline on last count! I can only do my best, and if someone tells me they just want to make a bit of extra cash, and are not bothered about earning big money, I really don't have the time to convince her that she needs to go blue diamond, when i may have three others asking me, "Can you coach me to blue diamond? "

VegoDoll · 20/02/2016 21:13

The best way to recruit in my opinion is by branding yourself, and by putting something of value into the marketplace. So for example, if I was in a makeup company I wouldn't just talk about my companies products; I would do FREE makeup tutorials all day long for Youtube, blog, have an email list and occasionally promote my opportunity.

But if you look at top vloggers on Youtube who are not involved with MLM you will see them churning out FREE " content " or videos after video after video which provide value of some description, then comes along the ebook that they require you to pay for... But by then, the subscribers are happy to look at the offer, because the Vlogger has provided so much value beforehand.

I enjoy working my social media profiles. I don't pretend to be anything I am not, I just use social media as a tool to " sell myself". I have recently started my blog, and have begun building my email list too. This way of branding is quite common online, irrespective of whether you are in MLM or not.

AbolishFlobots · 20/02/2016 21:14

Thanks for your honest vego

If you are earning 6 figures, what type of money are those in you downline earning (rough idea?)

Do you believe in the product your selling?
