So how do you feel that your opportunity is a front for a fundie church? Do you subscribe to that?

It's that sort of thing that many of us find deceptive and worrying. It's not honest, is it, even if you are.

Mootpointer · 18/02/2016 18:32

fastday couldn't find a concession rate for kiddies so yeah likely full price.

By the end of the day they'll be so tired sitting around on uncomfortable chairs although plenty of loud music( think motivating songs/lyrics) for all to whoop, clap and sing to.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Isn't it great that the children can attend the Success Day! What a treat.

The perfect end to a half-term where they've spent the week being dragged around to complete strangers houses or left to sit in pubs/cafes whilst their #bossmama catches up with another member of their team or tries to recruit. Hmm

It looks like my bots DC had to go on a 2 hour drive to spend a couple of hours crawling around and playing on a pub floor whilst their mum (who has been posting all week about having no childcare costs or worries during half-terms now that she's #ditched the boss) has yet another meeting with one of her teamies.

Mootpointer · 18/02/2016 18:59

Thanks vego for your candour.
I was with FL and found the whole enthusiastic shebang gave me no joy or feeling that I was helping people( as they gamely package it as just that). I just retailed but even that after a time, failed to enthuse me.
Glad to be rid now, can focus on actually making a difference.Smile

Yes. Thanks for that, Vego.

VegoDoll The scripted ritual statement that that there are millions in 'Nuskin,' is impressive-sounding, but puerile, nonsense which is common to all the biggest 'MLM' fairy stories. My best (evidence-based) information is that the 'Nuskin' racket has had virtually the same hidden, overall insolvency/churn rate as the 'Herbalife' racket.

i.e. 12 months hence the overwhelming majority of all today's claimed '3 millions 'NuSkin' adherents will have vanished to be replaced by another intake of ill-informed transient contractees.

Self-evidently, you will not be able to obtain full and frank answers to my three questions from the 'Nuskin' bosses, because the full and frank answers these 3 question, reveal what these 'Mormon' racketeers have really been hiding for the previous 30-odd years.

Excluding the insignificant minority of shills, the hidden overall net-loss/churn rate for the so called 'NuSkin MLM Income Opportunity' has been effectively 100%. Anyone claiming or implying that it is possible to generate an overall net-profit lawfully from the 'NuSkin MLM Income Opportunity,' is not telling the truth.

darceybussell · 18/02/2016 19:29

Sorry Vego, I'm afraid we are all going to end up bombarding you with questions!

So when you recruit people in, if you're aware it's going to fail for almost all of the people who join, how do you pitch it to them? Do you still sell it as an 'amazing opportunity?' Or do you have some other way of phrasing it?

Also, did you have to take losses or buy up product on your way up to get to the top?

nextyearrodney · 18/02/2016 19:43

Welcome Vego. Always good to have a different viewpoint, I normally lurk but wanted to make a point of saying hello. As a lurker I have a great respect for how differing opinions are generally treated respectfully in this thread.

darceybussell Perhaps Vegodoll can also explain exactly why, if as he/she claims, virtually no one ever joins 'NuSkin' with the false expectation of gaining future reward, all these thousands of gung-ho 'NuSkin' adherents (in the linked video) have paid through the nose to attend this ritual 'NuSkin' orgy of deluded self-gratification?

For that matter why, during the previous 30 odd years, have mountains of tickets been peddled for a mountain of dollars to countless insolvent, transitory 'NuSkin' adherents, so that they too could attend similar ritual mass-meetings where they have been brainwashed into believing that ordinary, enslaved, unhappy and unhealthy poor humans can duplicate a step-by- step-plan to become prosperous, happy, healthy and free super-humans?

cozietoesie · 18/02/2016 20:01

One point, Vego - are you comfortable to 'get round the morals of all of this'?

FLhahaha · 18/02/2016 20:06

Vego welcome, thank you for coming on and letting us have your point of view. A while ago (before it folded in the UK) a relative was involved in 'Weekenders' ( a clothes based MLM) and she used it very much as a social thing as you say. She did a small amount of selling (probably never ever made any money as she probably sold at her 'wholesale' price or above), didn't need or want the income, just loved the products and enjoyed being part of a 'team' who met regularly for lunches/selling parties. She never tried to recruit anyone as far as I know and certainly wasn't pressured to.

So while I think that 'Weekenders' was still a 'sell to the distributor' thing, I am prepared to believe that there are many shades of grey to the whole MLM business!

PS - think we need a new thread please!!

Vegodoll says :

'even with the full disclosure of numbers people would still join.'

And I say:

Lying to people, or withholding key information from them, in order to take their money is fraud, which is a form of theft.

You can also add to that:

The bosses of 'NuSkin' have been subjecting a never-ending chain comprising millions of people around the globe to co-ordinated devious techniques of social, psychological and physical persuasion without their fully-informed consent, in order to defraud them and prevent them from complaining, and that the multi-millionare 'Mormon' bosses of 'NuSkin' have been running, and dissimulating, an 'Amway' copy-cat, blame-the-victim 'MLM Income Opportunity' cultic racket.

I find Vego's posts about her MLM experience interesting but so totally at odds with what our intensive and wide ranging research, evidence and personal experience of MLMs has been.
