patzy and MHmum: wrt FLs Success Express - "Wonder how much it sets them back"?
I too would very much like to know. Older success days were £30 to attend, plus all the ancillaries. Seminars are a major revenue earner for MLMs of course. Can you ask your bot how much they will pay for the event?

Lovewineandchocs · 18/02/2016 15:56

In Ireland it is £20, not including lunch or coffee. Together with petrol and parking, you wouldn't get away with spending less than £50. I'd imagine the ones in London are much more expensive given that people probably have to pay for accommodation too. And you are told attendance is mandatory for success. What a racket! Angry

dadandmum · 18/02/2016 16:05

£30 for the two days, plus parking, or a coach from warily, plus hotel, plus food, plus petrol

xenu1 · 18/02/2016 16:49

Many thx both. Now to find the number of attendees and work out the gross profit! In the golden days of Amway the 4 major quarterly US w/e events ("Dreambuilders", "Free Enterprise", "Family Reunion" etc) were $300 + travel. They used to get 10k people there! That's $3m: $250k to hire, the hall. same again for speakers and that's >$2m gross profit... Get Plugged Into the System!

N.b None of this applies to the £49.99 you invest in March's Timeless VIE ParslaiParadiseLoveYourUplineDay. That's TOTALLY different. TV actually subsisdise the event (my upline assures me) and the training will invaluable to grow your business!

Motorheadmum · 18/02/2016 17:11

All that money and more time away from their children! That's really working round your family then!!

stopfaffing · 18/02/2016 17:15

eye it is unlikely (I hope) that section 18.01 would be applicable in the UK as surely UK rules would supercede those of a foreign country.

Vego how much to you make from sales and how much from recruiting other people who will pay out and make nothing back?

stopfaffing Whatever it says, or has said, in the UK, if these aren't universal 'FLP company conditions' (as is implied in the Canadian documentation) then there will be an essentially similar chapter of the controlling fairy story designed to trick any dissenting FLP's UK adherents that they have signed a contract which precludes them from taking any dispute with the company to court.

In reality, the 'FLP' racketeers (and their attorneys) have been able to modify the group's controlling narrative at will to suit their hidden criminal purpose.

Xenu if you would like some horseshit to sell at the LoveYourUplineDay let me know. There's nothing better for enriching your soil, and it's got to be more beneficial than the bullshit sold at other MLM events.

sparkly72 · 18/02/2016 17:57

But isn't it more that people without the skills are RECRUITED in - often intently pursued- rather than them choosing it... And aren't they influenced by the dream that's sold rather than the actual facts - it's not really informed consent is it?

fastdaytears · 18/02/2016 17:59

The retention rate is poor for that reason

At which point you've made money on their joiners box or whatever and they're out of pocket, and any downline they did manage to build is yours.

we're not saying it's not possible to make money from MLM (though very very unlikely) we're saying it's not right.

Oh Lord, it's success day again! Success day tickets are priced at £30 for Sat or Sun or £50 for both days.
Children can attend but must have their own tickets
Coach avail from Milton Keynes to Excel - £18.50. Leaves at 7am.
Plus... Buy your own food & drink during daytime, 1or 2 nights stay in hotel, evening meal/s and if you're driving, fuel costs and parking.
All in all, a bl**dy expensive weekend... But you do get to do plenty of boss babe/ guy bonding.

vegodoll good to hear your input.
Do you ever have doubts about your business?

thetemptationofchocolate · 18/02/2016 18:08

Does anyone know anything about the Brit Method?
Just clearing out the 101 spam emails and there was one about this. I wondered if this is another MLM. I deleted the email :)

Full priced tickets do you think?
Poor kids. Can you even imagine how bored they'd be?

Vegodoll Seeing as your here, perhaps you can tell MN members:

which so-called 'MLM' you are involved with?

how many individuals have been churned through this so-called 'MLM' since it was first instigated?

what percentage of these individuals have remained under contract for more than 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, etc.

what percentage of these transient individuals have paid income tax on net-profits accruing from their so-called 'MLM businesses?'

what lawful reason can you put forward to explain why the key-information contained in the answers to the above 3 questions, has been withheld from the public?
