lastuseraccount123 · 02/02/2016 20:16

paddy we actually have had a few come with their circular arguments. One actually compared the Ministry of Defence, I think it was, with an MLM and said MLMs are just bureaucracies. hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

whattheactualfook · 02/02/2016 20:23

Their brain washing mindset training wouldn't let them do that paddy as they are encouraged not to engage with the haterzs in case they realise what we say is true

sminkypink · 02/02/2016 20:29

I see a lot of them do Landmark forum. One of my friends just announced she's been on a course. Of course shes on a high right now and I just know she probably gone and said something nasty to the father of her child because of it. So when she announced she'd been, I felt exactly the same as I do when I hear a distant relative has died.
It's bloody expensive and very cultish, they use sleep and food deprivation, for instance.
It's banned in France.
Most people only get as far as the introduction (about £300 - I guess same as most people only get as far as buying 'business in a box'), but you can go on and do more and more courses and give them all of your money
I know someone who went (his dad paid) and he says he found it useful. But I know someone else - his girlfriend went and she managed to split up /destroy the whole of her family with her brutal honesty afterwards, including breaking up with him. Actually, not just her, but a few other friends have had a similar experience. Because the way they coach you to behave, is just so entitled and arrogant, the outcome can be either beneficial or totally destructive or both.
They suposedly encourage this brutal honesty, in order that you can move on with your life. Start anew as a 'leader'. If you ask me it looks like yet another egocentric arrogant me-centred philosophy that lacks compassion for others. And empties your bank account
It seems to be such a bot type of coaching I'm not surprised if the mlm crowd go to it.
Lots on youtube, not all of it positive. :) Apparently there is a hidden camera footage of one of the centres hosted a distant newsgroup or torrent so look out for it. supposed to be an eye opener.

Paddybare The real joke is that, once you know how 'MLM' racketeering functions, you can predict with almost 100% accuracy what inflexible 'MLM' Bots, and apologists, will say.

They are not like robots, they are robots.

Apart from making legal threats, the 'MLM' apologists only possible tactic on a forum like this, would be to try what 'Scientologists' describe as 'Bull-Baiting'. ie. Post provocative and hurtful comments to make MN members lose their tempers and stop thinking. 'MLM' apologists have even been devious enough to pose as critics of other 'MLMs' on public forums.

throwingpebbles · 02/02/2016 20:36

last I don't normally argue but the bots are sooooooo totally Bang On with the MOD comparison. I have it on good authority that the route to promotion is based largely on how elaborately you lie about then "amaaaaaazing" lifestyle the job gives you. And haven't you seen all of them on Facebook messaging distant acquaintances and making dubious health claims
Tsk. Let the bots have it when they are making a fair point

Paddybare · 02/02/2016 20:39

Perhaps it's time for a particularly 'strong' feeling bot who can cope with such overwhelming negativity to stick their head above the parapet and engage with us in a calm, reasoned way and tell us how and why we've all got it so, so wrong!

Of course, I do realise it's unlikely to happen because they would probably fear being excommunicated but the opportunity is most definitely there.

Eyespying · 02/02/2016 20:40

sminkypink

These are some of the 'Landmark'-related killings in just the anglophone world.

www.google.fr/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=mlandmark%20education%20murder

Yes, 'Landmark' is a school, but for for psychopaths.

sminkypink · 02/02/2016 20:41

that does not surprise me, eye, school for psychopaths is a great description

Wadingthroughsoup · 02/02/2016 20:44

lastuser did you find the Dragons Den clips? Previous page, I think. Comedy gold.

sminky Did you say MLMs are banned in France? I thought I read that somewhere else too, yet there was a French couple holding one of the actually quite modest impressive cheques in the FL mag pages that someone posted recently.

IAmNotDarling · 02/02/2016 20:45

FFS I've just seen a bot post bragging about one of her team 'working' less than 2 weeks after giving birth. I despair. Sad

sminkypink · 02/02/2016 20:47

no, landmark forum is banned in France, I think MLM is banned in China.

MrGrumpy01 · 02/02/2016 20:55

IAm* the sad thing is that in the world of real employment that would, quite rightly, be illegal. They mock those with a J.O.B but actually fail to appreciate all the protected rights and benefits that come with one. Most people who are self employed are clued up enough to realise that there are some real disadvantages to not being employed.

The bizarre thing is that they are contractually tied to, i.e employed by, Forever Living but with none of the rights that are afforded to those with an actual employer.

Cuppaand2biscuits · 02/02/2016 20:55

I've been invited to join a facebook group called Luxorios Lashes by Youniqee!

sminkypink · 02/02/2016 20:58

I got added to a yooneeek party last week, my deepest sympathies.

penny1ane · 02/02/2016 20:58

You are silly IAmNotDarling, you seem to forget that it's not work.
2 weeks is fine.

Eyespying · 02/02/2016 21:01

Wadingthroughsoup, Gimlet1984 posted them, but I first posted the 'Lyoness' clip on these threads a long time since.

I've been opposing 'Lyoness' for several years and it really is a frightening cult with a lot of political influence in Austria.

The Lyoness mass meetings, complete with fuhrer leader, dramatic lighting, flags and black and white uniforms, look like something from the 1930s.

penny1ane · 02/02/2016 21:02

And remember, ec was working 4 days after having a c section.
It's now the norm in flp

DayToDayShit · 02/02/2016 21:02

I have missed 'Hardvard' can someone link back to where it was please

ICJump · 02/02/2016 21:03

I've been reading the last few threads. It's helped me as I'm a SAHM and sometimes think I should do some party plan to make some money. These threads have reminder me why that's a terrible idea.

I'm in Australia and the big ones here are Jamberry nail wraps and thermomix (a food processor which is about $2500)

Eyespying · 02/02/2016 21:07

ICJump I bet it's not $2500 on e-bay.

Motorheadmum · 02/02/2016 21:13

IC don't touch them! I got invited to a jamberry online nail party once and it was cringeworthy and sadly I don't think anyone bought anything

acatcalledjohn · 02/02/2016 21:39

"Yay! Let's indoctrinate our kids now & fuck them up for life!"

From possibly the most famous bot in this country. I shan't name names, but she may have bought her husband Louboutins for his birthday the other day...
