I'm also curious to know who AL is! I can't remember all the bloody names, although my search history in Facebook makes me look like a complete FLP MLM stalker, I think I've become completely obsessed!

The CS posts about the two boys are so completely exploitative, it makes me furious. It's morally and ethically wrong on so many levels and reeks of "white saviour complex".

DayToDayShit · 05/02/2016 21:35

look up 2 posts and you have AL

Cheers!

darceybussell · 05/02/2016 21:37

Agreed cynic, and she is one of the most narcissistic and unpleasant ones as well - she doesn't even come across well in her own Facebook posts!

Eyes, what does the legislation say constitutes an illegal pyramid scheme? Because this ariix lot are not even bothering to pretend to sell a product, they are even calling themselves the opportunity company! Surely they must be getting close to the legal definition!

cozietoesie · 05/02/2016 21:40

Their Rules for Operation of a Virtual Franchise might bear some study, Green. I'd do it myself but I don't think my eyes or my sanity would take the strain.

That compliance document shows we a really getting somewhere, doesn't it? Of course a lot of it was sort of in the handbook, but this new one has the air of a document people are actually supposed to pay attention to, rather than 'small print'. Doesn't yet fully address the data protection point though - I am sure the way they encourage 'business owners' to keep data means they should register with the ICO. Could the person - I think it was Patzy link again or PM me the 'who do you know?' sheet? Was that Forever branded? And if anyone else has any others (younique, juice plus etc) - basically documents encouraging you to keep records of tons of information on customers or potential customers, could they link or PM me? I fully intend to write to the ICO but I need a bit more info first.

Yes but at least if you "stay broke" you stand a chance of keeping your friends and your dignity.

those steps to manager things are horrendous!

Eyespying · 05/02/2016 22:45

darceybussell Even though 'Ariix' is obviously a fraud even under existing technical trading schemes legislation (not to mention the Theft Act), UK regulators won't even look at it, unless a swarm of victims complain, but a swarm of victims won't complain, because they don't know where to go or what to say, and they imagine 'Ariix' must have already been vetted by the regulators and that it is self-regulated by the so-called 'DSA.'

Trade regulators, who don't really regulate at all, have been a significant part of the 'MLM' problem, and not the solution to it. The theft has been so vast and the psychological, and social, damage so extensive in Britain, that 'MLM 'racketeering should really have been treated as a question of national security.

We are talking about millions of Britons being robbed and subjected to co-ordianted devious techniques of persuasion, over a period of several decades.

Motorheadmum · 05/02/2016 22:45

Patzy that was a good read! I love the fact they use the feel, felt found selling method... Interesting that the pupp products didn't seem to be counted as personal use...

Doesn't seem the returns they are claiming are realistic at all.

Paddybare · 05/02/2016 22:58

This statement of earnings by level is very interesting from Herbalife- just shows how the vast majority really do earn next to nothing.

To my knowledge, forever living don't publish anything similar I wonder why that is

iamherbalife.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/StatementOfAverageGrossCompensation.pdf

Paddybare · 05/02/2016 23:02

The most interesting piece of the link above is the following statement;

"For most people (89%), the economic benefits resulted exclusively from a discounted price on products they purchased for personal and family use or for resale to others, neither of which took the form of a payment from the Company."

Says it all really, not just about Herbalife, but all MLMs Hmm

Agee norbert plus there is a lot of middle ground between rich and broke!
