See your all wrong! Network marketing is not the same as a pyramid scheme

Ribbet8890 · 03/02/2016 20:16

you're (dies from shame)

crazycatlady26 · 03/02/2016 20:24

davidjwbailey.com/2014/07/04/forever_living_scam/ another good read :-) keep up the good work everyone and we shall soon see the collapse of these pyramids!

Tupperwarelid · 03/02/2016 20:24

Regarding the NCT thing, one of my
Bots is also a breast feeding counsellor with them Confused

Ribbet8890 · 03/02/2016 20:34
are these health claims allowed or are they vague enough?
throwingpebbles · 03/02/2016 20:35

I think that's what's going on around here too tupper . Key NCT figures are friends with bots or mixed up with it themselves. It's frightening because somehow being linked to NCT lends an air of authenticity. Any one got any idea how we could get through to them??

penny1ane · 03/02/2016 20:37

I sent a message to an ex flbot I was friends with to see if she had seen these threads.
She hadn't but did say "I have never been stabbed in the back as much as I was in that company!"

I may ask her if she would take a look and to contribute. I think her input would be useful.

Eyespying · 03/02/2016 20:37

Just to make matters even more confusing, another previously-depressed and anxious EC has transformed into a happy Bot.

At approximately 2 minutes 40 seconds, EC II claims that 'FLP has 'improved' her 'mental health'.

Joking apart, EC II has only been involved for 4 months, and she is evidently completely unconscious of the danger she is in.

I wonder if there are any Bot-Watchers who recognise her?

prettyusefulsometimes · 03/02/2016 20:43

More interesting info from everyone thank you.

What strikes me most is the amount of tangible information we're all able to find and debate compared with the utterly meaningless hot air spouted on various testimonial vids, "training days" etc, etc. I find it really hard to explain how confuzzled I feel after listening to the uber bots like James Lavelle and his "secrets of success". He just talks . . . . . about nothing really. Is it the tone of voice that's drawing people in? Body language? A kind of emperor new clothes; no one wants to be the first to say "you what mate?"

And they all say the same stuff. Here's one of Lavelle's compadres:
www.facebook.com/NTWKMRKTREV/?pnref=lhc

Yesterday I was approached by an ex-JP, now Ariix bot, at a popular location for parents to drink coffee whilst their children rampage (!) I vaguely know her, our children will be the same school year. It was a rushed, one-sided conversation as she obviously wanted to get to the good bit of the script "not long til your child start's school - how do you feel about that"
I think it was in the last thread that an ex-mlm'er revealed that all recruitment should heavily feature the "feels". Unfortunately for her I replied that I couldn't bloody wait.

I really would like to go to one of these Ariix events in a big posse that includes an accountant, a trading standards officer and Derren Brown.

More info on Ariix. Dr Fred Cooper, one of the founders also created and founded a company that sells software for "direct selling" iCentris:

www.icentris.com/blog/

Tim Sales, another of the Ariix founders has the Brilliant Compensation a DVD to give to those harshing your mlm squee; apparently its "A 100% No-Hype, Logical Explanation of the Network Marketing Industry" Hmm

^What If You Could Silence Those “Pyramid Scheme” Objections… Once and For All?
Whether you like it or not, a lot of your prospects misunderstand what network marketing is all about.
And when they find out your “incredible opportunity” is one of those “multi-level deals” they cover their ears. They run for the hills… and don’t give you the time of day. They tune you out completely.
It’s tough to have your dream stomped on time and time again by “well-meaning” friends and family without taking it to heart.
And what if you are a “grizzled veteran” of MLM, “impervious” to these annoying objections? Well, there are likely hundreds, maybe even thousands of people in your downline who are nowhere near as thick-skinned as you.

If you have a stiff drink handy it's worth watching the embedded clip at the top of the linked page.

That was a long post, I'm really pissed off about all this, thank you for reading. Wine

Cheer up, but being pissed-off whilst Bot-Watching is to be expected.

Remember, Tim Sales is a Narcissistic little shit 'Scientologist'.

That piece of key-information ought to be enough to put the wind up anyone involved with 'Ariix.'

Ribbet8890 · 03/02/2016 20:57

vine.co/v/OD0qddD5TmJ woohoo, we can make the gel ourselves!

His attitude seems to be only a step or two above breaking someone with violence to make them become your downline. You will believe me, you will comply. What a snake.

I think he needs to feel off. And when he gets there, he ought to feel off again. Etc...

Tell me, does/did Scientology have any connection with the Mormon church? I'm learning a bit about the links between The Landmark forum and Scientology, but this link with MLMs/Mormom church/Scientology intrigues me.

p.s. Tim, your tie is absolutely minging. Is that an evil eye on the front?

Motorheadmum · 03/02/2016 21:06

Just had a bit message me on linked in... Company appears to be called nu skin? I honestly must have a sign on my head saying mug...

Hi
Our opportunity involves the use of social media, especially Facebook, to build a small or substantial business depending on your drive and ambition. Its not the only route to market we use but it is a fast way to reach higher income. My daughter Ella, 31, has spent the last 18 months building a big business using the techniques we can teach you and she has reached a six figure income.
Take a look at the following link. One of our team, Tom, 26, gives you a lot of information about the company and how it works. If it takes your interest, let's talk.

Kind regards,
Eyespying · 03/02/2016 21:24

I have recently interviewed a guy who spent most of life inside the 'Scientology' labyrinth, after being taken in as a child, by his mother.

He, and others, confirm that 'MLM' recruitment has been rife amongst 'Scientologists' for years, because most rank and file 'Scientologists' (unlike poster boys, Cruise and Travolta) are desperate for money.

Most rank and file 'Mormons' are also desperate for money. They are heavily tythed on their pre-tax income.

As far as I know, the bosses of the 'Scientology' racket have not yet instigated an 'MLM 'racket, but they have allowed, and have probably encouraged, adherents to become involved with 'MLM' rackets (including those bossed by 'Mormons').

'Scientologists' have also run vast, classic Ponzi schemes in which many millions of stolen dollars were transferred to other 'Scientologists' who just happened to donate these unlaxful windfalls to their 'Church'. The perpetrators of one of the 'Scientology' Ponzi schemes got jailed, but his bosses retained the lion's share of the profits.

Similarly, the bosses of 'Mormon MLMs' have transferred fortunes to their 'Church,' in tythes and donations. There is no way that this stolen money will ever be returned.

cozietoesie · 03/02/2016 21:27

...And you don't mess with VAT...

Indeed you don't. I still bear the mental scars from a VAT audit many many years ago. I wonder how many MLM distributors realise they might have to face one?

FLhahaha · 03/02/2016 21:30

Pretty I too would like to gatecrash in a big group! But actually, that would only have a very small effect, because anyone you went with would have much less 'credibility' in the eyes of someone already under the spell than the MLM 'stars'. Which is why that video on Timeless Vie is brilliant, because EC is exposed for all to see and she has 'credibility' to FL people. Poking fun and showing the contradictory statements the bots themselves make is the way to go!

Eyespying · 03/02/2016 21:32

Motorheadmum One of my contacts is an ex-trophy-husband of one of the original bosses of the 'NuSkin' Racket. For a long time, he tried to blow the whistle, but he has been subjected to all the usual tactics to silence him

I think it's very telling about how deluded/brainwashed they are when the likes of JL think they are 'helping people' by recruiting in a poverty stricken third world country. Cannot believe that that post actually got likes and congratulatory comments. Are they mental?
The 'business in a box' would cost around half the average Ugandan income ($600 USA) That's the equivalent of a Brit spunking over £12k to set up a business. And if $600 is the average wage, then the aloe gel would cost the average Ugandan over two weeks wages. Half your annual salary to start a 'business' where no one can afford the products, way to go.
That's some delusion going on there, alright, if she really is that deluded. And she may be, who knows.

Eyespying · 03/02/2016 22:14

Sminkypink

In October 2015, the World Bank updated the international poverty line to US$1.90 a day.

Ugandans are a poor nation in terms of average per capita income, but if 'FLP' was a country, and if you ignored all external sources of revenue (access to credit, savings, inheritances, etc.), then the average per capita income (which is a Net-loss) would make the powerless, rank and file, 'FLP' Utopia dwellers the poorest nation on Earth.

The same tragicomic anlaysis applies to all 'MLM' rackets.

Tupperwarelid · 03/02/2016 22:33

The EC II video is worrying. A lot she seems to have copied from others, how the time wasn't right, how she wants to tell us about her journey and how she is going for it this year. I am concerned though about how she says it has improved her mh by drinking the gel and how it is cleansing her. It sounds like she needs real money too and can't afford to fake it til she makes it. Very sad really

Teddy1970 · 03/02/2016 22:36

Is that a new EC vid Tupperwarelid?
