AnthonyPandy Coming back to reality from unquestioning belief in a cultic fairy story, can involve a temporary mental breakdown. You know when ex-adherents have recovered when they can laugh at themselves, but, as you rightly observe, some cult adherents find it impossible to face the truth.

Siwi · 19/01/2016 00:01

Also the guilt.

finallyregisteredtopost · 19/01/2016 06:48

Ugh. Sponsored post on my fb feed yesterday from someone called Emily Khan. 'The most precious jewels you will have around your neck are the arms of your children'. The usual recruitment nonsense alongside. Hundreds of comments from desperate parents who probably can't afford childcare. My FL bot is (was) a pretty close friend but was ripe fodder. Always hated her 'normal' jobs. Fb feed used to be full of complaining about work. Now her life is wonderful (even though she still has her existing job). I think she was recruited while on mat leave. Makes me so angry. I quite like getting showered and dressed in the morning and my little one runs in to nursery in the morning like the happy chap he is.

Annie65 · 19/01/2016 08:08

Finally, I went to work when my children were little, they are now both grown up and I have 2 lovely little Grandsons. It hasnt done my kids any harm by me going to work. In fact I am very proud of them both. I now look after my Grandsons whilst they go to work and love it. Its called real life and these bots are living in a boring ,repetitive, cloud cuckoo land life. They have to do the same thing over and over again, talk about groundhog day.Hmm

xenu1 · 19/01/2016 08:34

But Annie65, if only you had joined an MLM like FL you could have filled your garage with goods; spent every weekend at expensive seminars; and passed the "business" (that is, a monthly 4CC cost of £540) to your grandchildren!
(I still have a couple of openings for my Timeless VIE business, pm me for details :))

Toobusytowee · 19/01/2016 09:03

I've been sending messages to people who have been responding to bots' cryptic messages about their wonderful opportunity on Face Book. There are hundreds of innocent people looking for a bit of extra money.

If you see these promoted ads in your feed (and you'll get them if you keep looking at bots' pages), drop a couple of lines to a few of the people and you might save some of them. If you leave a link to here or Timeless Vie- blog or FB, all the better.

IamMissRabbit · 19/01/2016 09:44

OMG they've all got matching FL phone cases!!! (Except NH!)

MLM-bot watch - LIGHTHEARTED - continued discussion of Juice + Forever Living Younique etc as scams with laughing
Siwi · 19/01/2016 09:49

How much did they pay for them?

Ilovefluffysheep · 19/01/2016 09:50

Those phone cases are awful!

IamMissRabbit · 19/01/2016 09:53

Missing a trick here as they should really have a case with an inspirational meme plus the FL logo!

WindyMillersProbationOfficer · 19/01/2016 09:57

I would love to be a fly on the wall (screen?) in one of those group Skype sessions. What do they talk about?! The latest crap inspirational memes to post? What the bots should change their jobs to on FB? Bee pollen??!!!

Patzy85 · 19/01/2016 10:17

Siwi - they're £5 + pp.

Five quid to look like a mug. Bargain really.

Patzy85 · 19/01/2016 10:18

Windy - I think they all just say "Hun" repeatedly, kind of like the seagulls in Finding Nemo.

Siwi · 19/01/2016 10:33

Windy, look at the 'sizzle' that Eye posted yesterday.
Absolutely riveting.

It's like a sitcom written by Victoria Wood with dashes of The Office and Gavin and Stacey.

On trying to recruit a worker at Costa,
'I wouldn't work here if you paid me'

The first speaker appears to admit that she is 'a dumpling' but is deliberately not trying to modify her weight until she does the Clean 9 so that the before and after will be more impressive.

Even the filming remind me of a bittersweet comedy. They are all wearing Christmas hats and jumpers or, one, who could be played by either Alison Steadman or Sarah Lancaster, is wearing antlers.

At different points there is yawning and fidgeting and a bartender temporarily blocks the speaker by collecting empty glasses.

Also Dawn from G and S.

Watch it. Riveting.

And it is held in a room of a pub/hotel so must have cost to hire the venue.

Siwi · 19/01/2016 10:34

Work THERE, not here.

Siwi · 19/01/2016 10:37

The antler woman describes trying to recruit a worker in B and Q. The woman is being made redundant in 4 weeks, her husband has cancer, her son has 'challenges' and she is about to receive a 'small redundancy payment'.

Perfect victim who ticks all the boxes and no trace of shame or irony.

Eyespying · 19/01/2016 10:54

Siwi - A dash of the Office:

GreenGoblin0 · 19/01/2016 12:14

has anyone seen ECs latest post - she's reposted the pic of her mother holding up the cheque for £100k and saying it's her "proudest achievement to date". A bot reading this might think that EC has made so much money with FL that she can afford to give her mum 100k. Whereas the truth as we know it is that her mum gave her the 100k a few years ago to buy a house, she has now sold that house to live in a rented white elephant and given her mother the money back! yes great achievement well done!!! Confused

Siwi · 19/01/2016 12:49

One of the comments for EC was someone else looking forward to repaying THEIR parents.

GreenGoblin0 · 19/01/2016 13:01

ooo it's making me so angry!!!

Annie65 · 19/01/2016 13:14

Xenu1, thats made me chuckle. I was actually asked in a roundabout way to buy some washing up liquid from Amway in the 90's by a so called friend of mine. She pretended she wanted someone to practice her selling technique on. She then tried to sell me the crap. Cant remember the exact price but it was like paying the equivalent of £20 now. Naturally I declined the wonderful offer. I did buy some fl heat lotion and deodorant from my Sil when she first started, the heat lotion (I hate to say) is quite good, just not worth the money and the deodorant is crap. It smells like soap which isnt the problem, but thats all it is soap, its not even an anti-perspiration. She gave me a trail of the "pupp box", and I kept asking her why she was giving this stuff away instead of trying to sell it. She just said "I want to know what people think of the products". Thats when I got suspicious and looked further into it. Had a good use of the stuff though over the weekend though, and Ive never brought anything else since. Some of it is nice, but no better than high street products which are a fraction of the price.

Eyespying · 19/01/2016 13:24

GreenGoblin0 - Sadly all this is classic of cults.

The truth behind Emma Cooper's 'FLP success' is essentially the same as that behind Teresa Jones.

On the pretext that her selfless 'Upline' only want to help her 'achieve her dream of financial freedom,' Emma has clearly been tricked into divulging confidential info about herself, and her friends and family, to her 'Mindset' handlers (Dave O'Connor and his gang). These experienced racketeers have then devised a strategy to bleed Emma's entire family and circle of friends, using her as their deluded agent.

Sadly, Emma is currently exploiting her existing relationships based on love and trust, to commit fraud for Narcissistic charlatans who were previously complete stangers to her. She continues to trust and follow these appauling leaches no matter suffering they inflict on her and her loved-ones.

I will guarantee that, if challenged, Emma will absolutely deny that she is being controlled and she will insist that she is making free choices.

darceybussell · 19/01/2016 13:25

I also think it is interesting that EC's parents just had £100k (or maybe more, I could swear she originally borrowed £120k) just lying around to lend to her. I suspect mummy and daddy are pretty wealthy and are funding all of their kids - they might have even all bought their way to manager in the mistaken belief that they were 'investing' in their family's future.

You don't hear much about dad, I wonder what he thinks of all this.

Eyespying · 19/01/2016 13:38

Cultic racketeers work on the theory that everyone has something they want to keep hidden. One thing is certain darceybussell, if Emma Cooper and/or any of her family have ever done anything illegal (like telling fibs to the taxman) to get hold of money, her 'Upline' handlers will know about it.

Fintan · 19/01/2016 14:06

"2016!!!This is the year I get the Aloe Audi"

and it's 'free' ? um sure hun.

Thanks for the thread, I'll spend the afternoon reading it.
I should make it clear from the start that I'm very embittered about FL in particular, having lost my closest friend to the cult.
