Continued LIGHT-HEARTED discussion here.

For heavy analysis, please check out Eyespy's threads on the same topic.

Our own, fake MN MLM twitter, FB & blog accounts are here:

@TimelessVie
wordpress.com/timelessvie
facebook.com/timelessvie

update: 459 likes on TV FB page, over 6,000 reach

nearly 5,500 views of blog - not bad since it was started in november, and we're noticing more and more websearches for TV too.

Interested in more indepth analysis? On the left sidebar of the blog, under "blogroll" is a list of more serious MLM blogs.

Please keep this thread is bot-watching, sharing screenshots, random MLM info you find and other crazy shit, please and thankyou Grin

And again, we could do none of this without all of you. Thank you.

I just remembered, that FB post about the house still being for sale was in my actual real name! Think I'll change it to my made up page.

Toobusytowee · 13/01/2016 11:46

Natasha Shingles seems to have deleted the post about being outbid on the barn. Now her page appears to give the impression she is buying the barn! I went to go and correct her but now it seems non friends can't post there! She's fighting back.

No fear though, I've put her right on her business page. Under my made up page. Wonder how many nano seconds that'll stay up?

lazycoo · 13/01/2016 12:32

Someone commenting on the MrsGloss page agrees MLMs are bad but really doesn't like Timeless Vie. Can we have some honest feedback please on TV?

MrGrumpy01 · 13/01/2016 12:35

That barn was Claire Spencer. NS is renting a different one.

flameprincess · 13/01/2016 12:40

I had friends on facebook (who I deleted as soon as they started posting about MLM), who I know are Mumsnetters, and in fact a couple I have met through Mumsnet.

With these threads knocking about and constantly being in 'active', how are these women still then choosing to sign up with these companies?

I wish I had kept them on my friends list now as I could have shared the Timeless Vie posts too but at the time I was so annoyed with my newsfeed being clogged up with the ads and I instantly lost respect for them.

Also had an old school friend who I've not spoken to in years, were friends on FB a while ago and she deleted her account - randomly add me again, at first was intrigued and then upon clicking her page - all FL posts. She'd obviously added me with the intent to sell.

I actually feel a bit sad when I see women I would normally get on with and who seem otherwise intelligent suddenly start posting those 'inspiring' #bossbabe memes - like it's unstoppable!

SocksRock · 13/01/2016 12:44

Sigh - next victim round here appears to be a preschool Mum. Pictures on facebook of her working at her laptop with a very compliant baby on her lap, perfectly made up and grinning away.

Was chatting to a friend this morning, just saying I didn't even get an interview for a job I just applied for, and I could see her ears pricking up. Let's see what happens come 3pm this afternoon!

flameprincess · 13/01/2016 12:48

This lady in particular.....is an MN Local Editor.....

She was peddling Younique first making wild claims about how valued she felt by them and she was making lots of money from home, then quickly changed to peddling Actiderm saying something along the lines of 'I'm not going to elaborate, but Younique didn't work for me so now my future lies with Actiderm!'

flameprincess · 13/01/2016 12:55

Regular posts like this (different bot) made me delete this 'friend'.

I work full time because I can't afford to work less, and I resent any posts aiming at tugging on the heart strings of people in the same boat who would love to be at home with their children. This kind of stuff was constant!

She also posted that 'mummy don't go to work' picture that someone else posted previously on this thread.

Argh my newish bot is going on about going off to a training weekend this week.

And get this, she's on day 2 of C9 and "feels amazing and can really see a difference in my nails"

WTF?

Toobusytowee · 13/01/2016 13:26

Thanks mrGrumpy. Fixed it. I got confused because they're all allegedly moving into barns.

MrGrumpy01 · 13/01/2016 13:40

It does get very confusing, can't keep track of who is supposedly moving where.

FreshwaterSelkie · 13/01/2016 13:51

Long time lurker, first time poster! Good work everyone, love what you've done with the place Grin

I am creased up at the "every day I touch my business", which sounds like the kind of thing you should really keep to yourself...

And please tell me WHY they are so obsessed with staying in their PJs all day as if it's some kind of fabulous treat? Is getting dressed so intolerable?? Very odd.

sminkypink · 13/01/2016 13:58

Claire Spencer is really going for it getting everyone to vote for her. Disgusting woman to manipulate a local business forum like that. I have a suspicion that the woman who runs this has been sucked in and has tipped her off about my complaint. CS is now posting up spouting the standard mlm shill script about losers and haters. One of those joining in to laugh along with her is the shill whose claimed six figure income business is listed on Endole as not quite reaching £30k in turnover. Carry on, ladies, carry on.

Quinoa20 · 13/01/2016 14:13

Sminky can you pm me details of 30k turnover woman? X

Willdoitinaminute · 13/01/2016 15:28

Sminky you are probably right about Claire Spencer being tipped off. The organiser may not be a bot but is just as dishonest in her RL. She rents a farmhouse and acts like lady muck. Her husband was done for embezzlement a few years ago narrowly avoiding prison. I suspect she only set up the business women group in order to make up awards to brag about. Initially she didn't exclude herself from the nominations! I could go on but I think you get the picture.

fastdaytears · 13/01/2016 15:31

She set up the awards and wanted to be nominated? Shock

Toobusytowee · 13/01/2016 15:58

If anyone would like to vote for a woman in Worcester who makes chocolate go here- wonderfulworcestershirewomen.co.uk/nominee/enda-spillane/. She does chocolate courses as well as makes the stuff! What an inspiration, I think we need to spread the word.

Tupperwarelid · 13/01/2016 16:08

Have voted for her

acatcalledjohn · 13/01/2016 16:43

About two days behind again. Came across this link today though.

sminkypink · 13/01/2016 16:49

Aah thanks for that. Looks like a pointless backslapping exercise. Reminds me of someone in my trade who fibs about her qualifications, has ripped two friends off yet is an excellent bullshit artist and applies for and wins awards. Sounds as if they are all welcome to each other and everyone with any integrity should steer clear.

lastuseraccount123 · 13/01/2016 17:59

Someone commenting on the MrsGloss page agrees MLMs are bad but really doesn't like Timeless Vie. Can we have some honest feedback please on TV?

does he/she really just not like TV or does he/she have some constructive criticism?

IMO, we're not going to be able to please everyone with TV. We're doing something controversial so I've always expected we'd get people who either don't get the humour, or don't like it, or whatever. It's all so subjective.

Willdoitinaminute · 13/01/2016 18:09

You hit the nail on the head. One of the organisers is a director of her "own" business. The truth is when her DH was arrested with the other director she stepped in to get them out of trouble. I think they still run the company while she does lunch and wins awards. All this info is in public domain which makes it even funnier.

lastuseraccount123 · 13/01/2016 18:13

willdo when will people learn there is such a thing as the internet? hahahahahahaha. good times.

As predicted, I got the hard sell at preschool pick up. I said no about 5 times, and she was still talking as if I had said yes - it was a truly peculiar experience.

"could I talk to you about a business opportunity"
"no"
"oh, that's great - can we meet for coffee sometime..."
"no"
"when works for you? Which days is XX in preschool?
"I'm not interested"
"well, it would be great to earn some extra money?

"Oh tomorrow works for me, say after drop off"
"I'm not here tomorrow, and it's still no"

It went on and on and on.

Luckily DD2 ran out shrieking for me, which cut it short and I did mutter something about barely legal pyramid schemes, so hopefully she's got the message that I'm not interested...

I do have a facebook friend request outstanding from her though!
