I'm self-employed, I'm currently working from the moment I walk into the office at 745am to 8ish almost 9 at night, its not ideal but I want to make a very bright future for my family, grandchildren (should I be blessed to have them one day). The amount I take home is enough to cover a modest, none flashy lifestyle. The rest of money is put away in savings or back into the business. That's it. It might seem boring, but that's how it's done. Its the fact they call it a business don't run a business, they run a scheming cult that will do anything to bleed money out of others.

And the guilt they try and breathe on hard-working parents? Sorry ,but I'd feel more guilty sat on my a** at home still in my PJ's at 2pm googling inspirational quotes all day. It's not a job, business, nor is it "success" the only thing they succeed in is bragging about a nonsense life.
and forever living a lie xx

LittleMissStubborn · 30/09/2015 17:51

The husbands paying for their lifestyle is probably a good point. One of the top bots the one who parades her two children on stage makes claims about private school fees and holidays etc. She also adds how she is a single Mum. Now rightly or wrongly the words 'single mum' makes people think of someone struggling to make ends meet, however, and this is where my thought process has ended, we have no idea what she is getting in maintence, it is not inconceivable that she is getting 2-3k a month, enough to pay her daily bills, meaning that any FL money can pay for school fees and holidays.

I could be well off the mark, but the fact remains that we will never know.

stopfaffing · 30/09/2015 18:14

Quote from AJF: "I've seen one where a bot has signed up a student."

That's so offensive Angry. Most of the students I know work to earn extra money but they don't have to prey on each other to do this. I think we can guess the fall-out that will happen to this student and her friends in the months ahead, and it won't be pretty Sad. But it doesn't matter because the person who has signed her up will be happy so that's ok then.

It's interesting that they never mention (when posting a pic of a car) that it's on finance with a lump sum to pay off after three years.

Libitina, the person you know who has leased her car but implied it is bought outright through FL knows she is lying and deceiving others, but these people only care about signing up their downline, nothing else matters, everyone; family, friends, colleagues, has potential to be exploited. It's actually really, really nasty.

AJFsmummy · 30/09/2015 18:30

StopFaffing - Yep, the signer-upers just take the money n run. the bot (who is actually related - slightly distant) even tried to sign me up despite me being director of my own legit company! Rofl! "sweetie darling, lets jolly well go for lanch" (that's lunch to you and me, she's just adopted a fake overly British accent since she signed up and became filthy rich after increasing her credit card limit to keep up the lifestyle )

CHRISTMAS ALERT! How many Bots have appeared out of the wood work now autumn is upon us? xx

PopcornFrenzy · 30/09/2015 18:58

Been invited to an October Product launch by a new FL bot, a real switched on lady too. Apparently I can earn a million quid by being sat on my arse, might link to this thread on the FB invite page Grin

ShebaShimmyShake · 30/09/2015 20:16

Bot just posted a picture of her seven year old daughter holding the card she made at school to show what she wants to be when she grows up. Bot is sincerely proud that among the future teachers, doctors, nurses, firefighters and farmers, her daughter wants to be a Forever Living Product Lady.

She is an affront to natural selection. A Darwinian nightmare.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 20:30

Sheba Grin Cackled out loud at the last two sentences.

Tupperwarelid · 30/09/2015 21:11

Have been following all the MLM threads with interest but I need to ask a question. What is with all the planning meetings? My Bots always seem to be in coffee shops planning with their team members but what are they planning (apart from who to hound into submission next) and as they spend so much time planning, when do they actually put their plans into action?

PS it there a TimelessVie planner that business owners can buy at a premium? I was thinking a small notebook with a green plastic cover would do the job

bettyberry · 30/09/2015 21:24

My bots keep putting up spider diagrams that are blurry showing they are 'planning' but what ever it is its as fuzzy as the pictures!

I Think we should have a moleless moleskine organic freerange vegan free planner ;)

Libitina · 30/09/2015 21:33

I Think we should have a moleless moleskine organic freerange vegan free planner

Checks Moleskine diary for hidden moles.

AJFsmummy · 30/09/2015 21:59

Ah yes "great MEETING with my favourite ladies today! Already PLANNING Spring"

lastuseraccount123 · 30/09/2015 22:15

yeah i want to know what they are planning too.

We really need another MLM mole to come and share the deets with us. HELLOOO.

ShebaShimmyShake · 30/09/2015 22:24

Another bot, after a year or so of flogging this shite and telling us how much freedom and money and success she has, has just announced she's starting a beauty therapy course at the local adult college. I'm glad to hear it. Can't believe she's decided to pursue an actual profession after all the thrills and spills of MLM...

AJFsmummy · 30/09/2015 22:31

I'd love Channel 4 to do a dispatches programme on this cult. What really goes on etc......xx

Twunk · 01/10/2015 09:03

Maybe John Sweeney? He likes cults...

ForeverLivingMyArse · 01/10/2015 09:07

Yes it would be great to see these set ups the subject of a documentary.

I read that thread on netmuns (the recruitment one) and found myself drawn to Osbourne books!

Fishboneschokus · 01/10/2015 09:10

Yes. Jon Sweeney. He's on Twitter. He knows all about cults; NK, SoC, alQuaeda...

TheCatsTiara · 01/10/2015 09:24

I've seen the FL student recruitment going on a couple of times too. Reprehensible really. Still I almost hesitate to say that as I think my bots mean well. Or do they? Brainwashed victims, hard-hearted vultures or a mixture of both? Who knows!
Also pretty fed up with their unbridled joy when they have a child off sick from school so they can demonstrate what model parents they are by being able to mollycoddle said child on the sofa.
Nice message to the rest of us mums.
I can work at home too when my child is ill, however I do still have to actually work, which unless it's serious means it's TV and a blanket for my child. Shoot me now!
Oh and Aloe can cure colitis in dogs apparently. Good to know. I'll save a fortune in vets bills no doubt.

bettyberry · 01/10/2015 10:01

Bot has posted first cheque! Although from the hastags the big cheques aren't real cheques they are goal cheques to stick up somewhere Hmm

I'm wondering if the cheques is the sales target for the year?

Dreaming big!! #bigdreams #biggoals #bigcheques #workinghard #aiminghigh #goingtosmashthis #motivated #goingonmydreamboard

(obvs cut out half the pic for privacy and all that)

MLm-bot watch - now including Timeless Vie!!
bettyberry · 01/10/2015 10:03

TheCatsTiara you should see all the stuff it can cure in horses. My friend lost it at one bot that she was touting cures for conditions that kill and maim animals :(

Mummatron3000 · 01/10/2015 10:29

stopfaffing that was a hilarious link
"Your eyes look like a tarantula exhibit" Grin muhahahaha!

Tirfarthoin · 01/10/2015 10:38

I also run a small business in healthcare. When I was first starting out four years ago I went to a few BNI networking meetings. Not only was there a forever bot there but also Herbalife and Juice plus. This was when I was still quite innocent of these schemes and they were all over me - I had a box of stuff to try on the grounds that it would cure my eczema, my headaches my life... I sent it all back but the bot would not be told that it actually mane my skin a lot worse. No way was I going to pass those products on to my customers.
Now I have been blanked by them for 4 years- heaven Grin

Tokelau · 01/10/2015 10:58

My utility warehouse friend posts pictures of herself at BNI meetings, and lots of other networking meetings that she goes to. She keeps trying to get other people to go to them with her.

She is very proud that she drives a UW car, but she has to pay for it!

She signed DH up as one of her team members years ago, but he didn't really get involved. She told him a few months ago that if he signed up so many new team members, he would have the chance to go on a ski holiday with other UW people. He thought a free ski holiday sounded great, although he wasn't too sure about going on holiday with strangers, but it turns out that it wasn't free, he would have to pay! How exactly is that something to get excited about?

Tirfarthoin · 01/10/2015 14:18

I can't decide if utility warehouse is as bad as mlm type stuff, it certainly seems as culty but surely selling cheap utilities can't be a bad thing?

tribpot · 01/10/2015 14:28

Not that cheap - and as the article says, read the comments with caution. This one certain caught my eye: Joining Utility Warehouse will change yours and your family's life forever. You'll never regret it! (This would also appear to be the one occasion in the comment where the poster uses an apostrophe correctly).
