Here are some all-natural products, I recommend all bots try at least one.

acatcalledjohn · 29/09/2015 19:50

stopfaffing · 29/09/2015 20:04

Libitina, looks like we need to send out a FLbot alert to Australia, particularly Western Australia...

stopfaffing · 29/09/2015 20:09

Oooh, have a look at this nm thread, which I found after checking out last's link. It's a doozy Shock wall to wall blatent MLMism Grin.

tribpot · 29/09/2015 20:12

I see almost no-one has stuck to the rules of the thread, brief factual details only.

ShebaShimmyShake · 29/09/2015 20:13

God all this sales bollocks. Before FL and all its clones came on the scene, plenty of people I know were self employed, some very successfully so. They were (are still) journalists, dressmakers, fitness instructors, dance teachers, seamstresses, bee farmers and cafe owners. As far as I can tell they all work very hard (couldn't be successfully self employed otherwise) and might use Facebook to publicise events or classes or current projects, but always totally professionally, and with genuine passion for what they were doing. None of them ever boasted about how many holidays they were going to have, how many flashy cars, how they were thrilled to have sacked the boss (even though many did leave standard employment to start their businesses) and so on.

It's only the MLM bots who spout all that crap. Even the dance teachers and fitness instructors who run their own studios and rent the rooms out to other dance/fitness instructors, who arguably do make money from recruiting others, don't bang on about it and boast about the income from it.

Why is that, d'you think??

knickernicker · 29/09/2015 20:33

Honestly, how much does a run of the mill juice plusser earn a year?

lazycoo · 29/09/2015 20:37

I've got a headache just reading all that bollocks on the NM thread. One company boasting about how it is 'debt free'? WTF has that got to do with anything? The bot will be up to her eyes in debt no doubt by the time she realises she's been ripped off Hmm

My FLbot has put up a few photos lately. her selfies get lots of comments about how well she looks for just having had a baby but her promotional posts get no comments, only a few likes, and her 'join the team' posts are ignored. Surely she must be getting the hint by now... I think it's about now that their handlers double down on them and make them buy loads of product isn't it?

lazycoo · 29/09/2015 20:38

It's a mythery knicker

knickernicker · 29/09/2015 20:49

Do you feel hurt when you get a friend request that isn't genuine. I got a friend request from a juice plusser the. Found she has a separate account for real friends/ no juice plus references on that one.
She always seemed so pleasant and self facing before. I didn't respond and she dithered the request but I feel horrible that I was just another possible opportunity.

knickernicker · 29/09/2015 20:50

Or effacing. Excuse typos.

ShebaShimmyShake · 29/09/2015 20:52

Well to be fair, most of these aren't scams exactly, they are legitimate MLM companies. And as with any sales job, yes in theory the earning potential is limitless; you could theoretically recruit an infinite number of people and sell an infinite number of aloe vera gunk gels.

In practice, when you're not working in a bricks and mortar store with footfall, when you have no contacts to start with, when your only method of finding customers and new recruits is your contacts on social media...well it's not impossible but it's extremely tough, especially when your social media outlets are fast getting saturated with others doing the same thing for the same handful of companies.

But this money obsessed, sack the boss, do what you like all day, only lazy losers fail culture is pretty standard in sales culture.

acatcalledjohn · 29/09/2015 21:07

And as with any sales job, yes in theory the earning potential is limitless; you could theoretically recruit an infinite number of people and sell an infinite number of aloe vera gunk gels.

But in practice demand has limits. There isn't an infinite number of people you'd be able to recruit at the rate these people work either.

lazycoo · 29/09/2015 21:13

They're not scams exactly, they're legitimate MLM companies...

What is a MLM company if not a scam?

lastuseraccount123 · 29/09/2015 21:18

Love this line from the nethuns MLM thread:

The company is pretty new to the UK and Europe so there are not thousands of distributors to compete with / steal your customers - get involved now!!!

truer words were never posted on a nethun thread...

lastuseraccount123 · 29/09/2015 21:19

this line also is to giggle:

??You also earn 10% binary commission (once you have placed 2 team members).

does that mean your pay is in binary Grin 1001..

stopfaffing · 29/09/2015 21:22

I've just seen this link posted on the "FM/MLM thread 3" thread; it's entertaining and sums up exactly why we hate MLMs.

lastuseraccount123 · 29/09/2015 21:22

well said lazy MLMs are scams. totally. 100%

CreepyLittleBat · 29/09/2015 21:28

Oh my eyes, that thread!

ME! ME! I'm like, TOTALLY COACHABLEA!

ShebaShimmyShake · 29/09/2015 21:33

The weird thing is how they don't follow up on some genuine possibilities for leads. Several of my bots have asked me to spread the word of their overpriced aloe vera gunk in some circles I move in where, to be fair, there could be an interest (if they're not saturated already one way or another). I said I wasn't comfortable promoting a product I don't know anything about but would be happy to pass on details of how they could book stalls at events (paying for the privilege like everyone else, naturally), or buy adverts. Radio silence. Gotta be in it to win it...

LittleMissStubborn · 29/09/2015 21:38

What's the difference between a 'boss' and your upline?

acatcalledjohn · 29/09/2015 21:39

Terminology.

lastuseraccount123 · 29/09/2015 21:39

your boss actually pays you?

ooh snap
