Thank you mumite

Aww what a pain when was your documents signed for!
Try ringing them if they say your documents are on the system ask them to look at them while your on the phone.

Hope you are sorted soon x

girliefriend · 03/07/2015 22:29

Morgan can't believe they still haven't sorted your money out! Are you in your new house now? When my dd was little my earnings wouldn't have even covered the rent and council tax so can completely imagine the hell you are in now Flowers

I know it is draining but I would seriously ring them every day until they give you some sense of when repayments will start.

I still haven't heard anything since having my paperwork back about a month ago!! Am trying not too worry about it, am increasing my hours in Sept to reduce my reliance on TC which annoys me as this is ultimately what the Tories want us to do Angry

I would be amazed if anyone who voted Tory is surprised by all this, this is completely predictable of a Tory Government. I am thankful that when I was most reliant on TC we had a Labour Government that seemed to understand that supporting single parents to work and care for their children was a good idea.

Morgan97 · 03/07/2015 22:29

Thanks for the link Mel I've signed the petition a few days ago. You're right we shouldn't accept this although its been awhile since I've had my tax credits stopped I'm still fighting the fight, not getting anywhere fast though but I can't give up.

Morgan97 · 03/07/2015 22:40

girliefreind no still not sorted it out I'm living hand to mouth now, hopefully housing benefit will sort themselves out but I still have to pay £15.70a week to top my rent up. I've nothing left once I've got paid I'm trying to do extra hours each week but it's not always possible. When I went to the post office to post my letter to tax credits last week I didn't have enough to post my letter I burst into tears a lady stepped in paid for the postage n bought me a coffee I was mortified. I'm not sure what to do next but I just can't give up. I'm so pleased that there seems to be a few who are getting sorted it gives me hope.

Mel25murf · 03/07/2015 22:41

Girlie friend

Increasing hours within reason, is what decent folk should and do, do! However, if there are no job or not enough full time jobs, I don't know how they think it's fair to penalise people for a situation which is ultimately their(governments) job. They seem to be concentrating in cuts and austerity alone without tackling the need for growth an productivity for people to have the opportunity to work.

Are they promising a living wage when they cut these tax credits? I can put my last pound on it, that they won't! As Harret Harman said, you don't increase wages by cutting tax credits.

I could go on about it all day and night it makes my blood boil so!

Mel25murf · 03/07/2015 22:47

Morgan

I know it's not a long term solution, but I am sure there are plenty of people like yourself and so,I am sure there must be a food bank local to you, that could help you out! I feel awful for you. You are the epitomy of why I resent this government and no offence(well not much) to those working poor who screwed us with their Tory votes whilst pretending their tax credits weren't a benefit, well they were a hard working family right, sureLy nobody could say they were scroungers/benefit claimants- oh how wrong they were! It's apparent that it is not about how hard you work, but how much you earn!

I wish you all the luck in the world for a speedy resolution to what I can only imagine is a living nightmare for you! X

Morgan97 · 03/07/2015 22:55

Thanks Mel,yes I'm reliant on food banks once again ,I have no choice in the matter. I thought by doing extra hours at work I'd be able to manage but forgot I wouldn't get full housing benefit because I wrk. If I didn't work I'd get all my rent n council tax paid for. I've really had enough now tbh. I just want it sorted so I can live a half decent life again x x

cazzymog · 03/07/2015 23:31

Thanks fedup. I'll let you know! ! Glad you are sorted. X

Iwishicouldflyfarfaraway · 04/07/2015 08:26

Hi , I've been following these threads , as had the childcare charges letter. I thought i'd better start to chase them as I can't make any changes I will need to next month until they've finished. I've rung the last two weekends & been assured it will been done & sent back to hmrc in the week . On ringing hmrc this am they still haven't done it!! Has anyone else had this? Did you just have to keep ringing? How did those that have managed to get theirs sorted over the phone do it? They keep telling me they will & then they don't :( Thanks

12fedup12 · 04/07/2015 08:33

When did they get your documents, are they on the system yet?
Mine were signed for on the 5th if June and was loaded in to the system on Wednesday.

Mine was employment check to make sure I was working and how many hours so was just a case of reading letter and seeing payslips which was easy to do on the phone.

I would think that childcare checks need to be put through system and calculated maybe thats why they can't do it on phone.

Have you spoke to them today, try calling now and asking for an update.

Good luck hope it's all sorted ASAP for you

Louby76 · 04/07/2015 09:18

Just to update you all I have received my documents back this morning by recorded delivery. The letter wasn't dated & it was just to say here are your documents & we will be in touch basically. When I phoned on Thursday they told me mine was dealt with, all fine & closed. I am just waiting for a confirmation letter & to hear from HMRC about my renewal now. Mine has taken almost 5 weeks from when I sent my documents. Hopefully everyone should be sorted soon x

Louby76 · 04/07/2015 09:19

Sorry meant to say bang on 5 weeks

cazzymog · 04/07/2015 09:25

I can not tell you how relieved I now feel! ! Shaking. Just spoke to them. Info was on file but not been looked at she did it over phone and said she will close the case as everything checks out ok. I'm under the impression they don't actually look at your file until you ring them . You had the same fedup didn't you? And i think bsby and a few others were sorted over the phone. I just hope all of you that are still waiting get sorted. Can't belive you still haven't been sorted morgan. Can't stop shaking! !

12fedup12 · 04/07/2015 09:39

That's great cazzy so pleased for you Smile, the relief feels amazing doesn't it Grin

They did it like that with erfergie and me.

Ring hmrc on Monday or Tuesday and your renewal will be finalised.

Enjoy your weekend cazzy without this hanging over your head Smile

Iwishicouldflyfarfaraway · 04/07/2015 09:52

Hi 12fedup12 , they've had my documents since the begining of May , they had actually returned them before my deadline to send them in was up Smile I rang them again today & was advised that my case was closed today but that's all she could see on the system . So now I have to wait for the letter from them & then my annual declaration letter . I'm a tad cynical about it all as they messed up our claim last year so there is potential underpayment as they don't backdate & I'm curious how much they will have managed to reduce it down by , especially as childcare is averaged over the year so is always going to be slightly out due to unexpected circumstances!

cazzymog · 04/07/2015 09:56

You are not kidding about the relief! !! Made to feel guilty when you haven't done anything wrong! ! Did you phone hmrc then? Do they just confirm? Can't believe I had to send so much stuff off for her to spend five mins on phone looking at pay slips!!

jonny82 · 04/07/2015 10:00

What date was yours signed for please cazzy ?

cazzymog · 04/07/2015 10:08

The 5th June. Was employment check.

12fedup12 · 04/07/2015 10:08

Hi cazzy, Yeah efergie and I phoned hmrc the day after to ask if our renewals had been finalised and they were able to confirm they were and how much we were getting x

cazzymog · 04/07/2015 10:10

Great thanks fedup I'll do that.

12fedup12 · 04/07/2015 10:11

I know what you mean cazzy about how much stuff we sent off and what's worse is after I sent my first lot (payslips and change of contract hours letter) I phoned to let them know what I sent was told to also sent off my p60 and contract so there was no need for me to send those off as they weren't even on the system and obviously not needed after all!
But at least it's done!

12fedup12 · 04/07/2015 10:12

Your welcome cazzy x
