A letter from Concentrix oh behalf of HM REVENUE

Hello please help if you can , I am worried sick , I got a letter from the above , the letter states We need to talk to you about whether you are living with a partner , I claim tax credit as a single person , they are saying that they have evidence that there may be another ault living with me , I do have a bf whom stays 3 days a week , they wish me to call , and are asking in the letter for Bills, tent from 06 April 2014 to Jan 2015 , scared they are going to horrible on the phone not sure what to make if it , feel sick , any tips or help would be great thank you

Not coping KittyKat my life is on hold,I wish I'd sent my documents just before the deadline at least I would have had some extra payments. Relying on food parcels just to eat. Trying to stay angry cos it makes me stronger but I can only take so much n feel I'm reaching breaking point. Guess ill have to get a letter sent to that Tory twat now for all he good it will do. So upset I can't even speak

My heart goes out to you Morgan, god knows where all this is going to end,, anyone thought about save the children? Were gingerbread involved in this? Sure I've read something about them in the thread. That's the problem with all this they get you so far down you haven't the energy to fight but there are enough of us to give them some grief.

Beadend they've stopped my payments stopped them on 26th march,I've written to them five times in as many weeks n no reply. No one is bothered my mp wrote to them n they replied to him telling him I'm now going through a mandatory reconsideration whatever that means but haven't written to me. Hate living like this its a desperate situation. The support on this thread has been amazing thank you

morgan tax credits have an enhanced support service. Ring the helpline today and ask to be transferred to them due to your anxiety and dire financial situation.

They will stay in touch with you, explain things re: mandatory reconsideration and call you back with updates

I just phoned up the tax credits to see if I had to resend the renewal pack to Concentrix and they said I didn't. I asked them in general about Concentrix explaining how stressful this is and asked how long it can take and was told that Concentrix can take up to 10 weeks to make a decision! I cannot believe that they can take this long and keep you waiting not knowing how things will be.

Just had a letter from this lot relating to child care costs and saying they think the payments might be wrong. I've checked it fully (checking on my Tax Credits renewal form that the info I have given them matches up to the actual payments that have been made to my children's nursery) and I'm spot on, to the penny.

However, I've now got the ball ache of sending them all the documents. They want the information by 1st June, but also want my tax credits renewal form sent in. I won't be able to complete the tax credits renewal form that soon as I need to wait for my P11D, which my employer usually does in July. The letter both says that if I don't send them the info by 1st June they will stop my tax credits, and if I don't send the renewal pack by 31st July they will stop my tax credits. I suppose I need to get on the phone to them and explain why I won't be able to send the renewal form by 1st June, but I'm getting the distinct impression that they're a bunch of complete fuckwits who will probably not know what a P11D is.

Like all of you, I find the tone of the letter extremely threatening, nasty and patronising. "It's really important that you don't ignore this letter", blah, blah, blah.

Patronising is the right word Elizabeth,when I found out they'd stopped my tax credits cos the evidence I sent wasn't sufficient the guy on the phone actually told me to make a joint claim with he person I share a house with.REALLY so after sending all i had they now tell me to lie and make a joint claim I don't think so!

Morgan did you manage to ring the helpline? Just wondering if they were of any help to you?

No KittyKat I've been stressing since my post came at 2oclock,I got a mandatory reconsideration form,they want me to send evidence to support my claim but I haven't got anything different to what I sent before I just don't know what to do now,I've emailed my mp as he retained his seat but no reply yet. Never thought I could be so upset as I've been today it's like I've hit a brick wall.

Could you ring them and ask them what evidence they WOULD accept, and basically say that you have sent all the evidence before in 2012 , which was good enough then biut not now and you don't understand what would be sufficient for them?! Throw the ball back into their court, what a bunch of idiots, is this concentrix as well?

KittyKat it's not concentrix it's tax credits the letter is the same though. Not sure about ringing them i don't want to cry or swear n I'm sure ill do both. I'm going to have a look on the Internet see what see I can find out. They already know I've no other evidence except for what I've already sent so I've written that on the form. They know how desperate my situation is I think they're just stalling for time n the outcome will be the same.

You could maybe ask them if their rules have changed I past 3 years , to which they will have to reply no, then tell them what you have provided is what you provided then, so what else do they require,??
Surely your mp could ring them on your behalf and get a concrete answer for what they will accept, it's ridiculous , is there anything on the tax credit casualties site that could help you?

I've looked KittyKat my eyes are shaking cos I've read so much. I've emailed my mp but no reply as yet. What a good idea to ask if their rules have changed,I might just do that specially as I always get the name of who I'm speaking to first. They've asked for things they know i don't have cos I've already told them. Starting to get really fed up now went to bed in tears last night n not done that for a long time. I know self pity isn't attractive but everyone's allowed to indulge once in a while aren't they.

Hey sometimes Morgan you need to let it all out, we would all be the same in your shoes, your doing great considering all the stress you are under, what other things are they asking you for? Is there no other way around what they are wanting? Sorry for asking but sometimes a few heads are better than one when you are so stressed .

Lol KittyKat,they want bank statements,tenancy agreement (I don't have one n they know that) council tax bill, for some strange reason this doesn't have my name on it yet when I moved in here the bill went up and my name was down in the polling station on voting day!!gas electricity and phone bill,they're not in my name n they know that..I just pay a percentage of these.evidence to show equal division of the finances for the daily running of the household between me n the other adult that lives here( not sure what that means) then they say the bank statements I provided last time won't be acceptable cos I blanked some stuff out yet they could clearly see the last numbers of the account n sort code. Why are they making this so difficult maybe I should ask my mp to get in touch with them but I've only got till the 22nd may.

Can you get in touch with council tax and ask why your name isn't on the bill? Maybe they could amend this? If not my argument would be the council tax is for the property, not the individual, so why is that so relevant? Also your old polling card have a look for it and send that to them, the financial day to day things can you get receipts for your share that you can send them , have you any receipts for your gas and electric that could be co signed and sent to them, and the bank statements I would just send them again Morgan , maybe just blank out couple of digits on the account number, ( looks like I ll be screwed cos I'm blanking some things out)

I don't get why they are being so difficult. It seems that they just want to cut the number of peopke claiming tax credits. Have they said what will happen if you don't send off what they want by the 22nd May?

Has anyone blanked out account numbers on their bills? I m not happy about sending all this with my account numbers on everything?

I have just sent some papers off. I have blanked out some information and I don't have all the documents that they have asked for however the documents I have sent to show that I am divorced and living on my own. I hope this is enough for them to leave things as they are. If they don't then I'm sure they're digging for more things. I'm sure they really don't need all these things and I'm sure you shouldn't have to account for everything single thing to a complete stranger. I hope they don't come back for anymore.

KittyKat I rang council tax yesterday they won't tell me anything I have to get the guy who's house I share to ring and talk to them n he won't, he's fed up with waiting for me to pay him what I owe.ive found an old polling card with my name on from a couple of years ago so I spouse i could send that,I sent them the receipts my friend gives me each month they state what the money's for also a letter of agreement between the two of us. I only blanked out most of the numbers from my account number n sort code. Beadedn they're being difficult to see if anyone breaks n leaves it i think, and if I don't send it by 22nd then I can't get it sorted. It's an absolute shambles they know I've no other evidence cos I've already told them its wrong that its up to me to prove I'm single surely it's up to THEM to prove I'm not.

Seems to me it doesn't matter what you do, everyone is doing different things and there's a lot of parents across the board had money stopped, there's no structure to what they require .
I hope what you have Morgan is enough this time to satisfy them , maybe it's a case of pass ten, put two on a fail pile! It sure as hell sounds like that.

I doubt if it will be enough to be honest KittyKat but they already know what I have and what I don't have they just don't listen n it's doing my head in but I can only send what I have just wish this nightmare would end
