emmajayne1985 I doubt that they did pay you a childcare element considering you told them you was on mat leave but worse case scenario I guess ud have to call it an oversight on their part and take it from there. After all you did everything you were supposed to do the rest is out of your hands honey and take it from there.

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 00:48

Kittykat60 that's exactly what they try to do play god. It's like because we rely on these payments we're supposed to be grateful. I didn't ask to get a crippling vascular disease when I was 35 yet year in year out I'm having to prove how bloody ill I am it's a joke. I reckon you shouldn't have too much trouble. Just cos your exs name is on the mortgage isn't justification he lives there full time and plus u have a child together so he's putting a roof over his child's head. Thing is I'm a strong believer in too much information being a dangerous thing. Only explain anything if ur asked if you're with me.

emmajayne1985 · 02/05/2015 00:50

I understand they have to check for fraud Tec but they are causing absolute nightmares for people, I think I will be using my knowledge from work to throw complaints at them left right and centre I find the way they are going about things ridiculous. All common sense seems to have gone out of the window

emmajayne1985 · 02/05/2015 00:50

Etc not Tec sorry

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 07:40

Well hardly any sleep again, going to try n get as much as this put together n get it sent off, I think you may be right mimz87 about the too much information, I was going to put a covering letter in detailing different things but don't think I ll bother.
I'm with you emmajayne 1985 let's hit them with complaints, think we should def organise a petition.

Morgan97 · 02/05/2015 10:35

Its easy to stress about this as none of us know what tax credits are actually doing,I have to prove im single ive sent them what I have same as I did in 2012 yet this time it's insufficient no explanation as why it was sufficient in 2012 and my circumstances HAVEN'T changed. Mimz ill take your advice n seek legal action I've been to my MP he did get a reply from them saying my case is going for mandetory reconsideration but if I still don't agree with the decision I can take it to a tribunal. When is this going to end,I can't keep living like this I have bills I can't pay n the person whos house I share is running out of patience

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 11:06

Dunno how they ll get out of that one Morgan, if it was good enough for them in 2012 what's changed now?
I hope you get it sorted soon and the person you share with gives you time to get it reinstated , can't imagine what your going through.
Just wondering if anyone else is also in my position where I pay everything direct debit so don't have paper copies of bills will the direct debits from the statements be sufficient or do they want proof it's in your name? It's completely crazy!

Morgan97 · 02/05/2015 11:21

KittyKat I think the direct debits from the statements should be enough as it should say its a direct debit and who it goes to. I don't know what's changed with them but I'm sure as hell gonna keep on at them till I get some answers,I'm going to go down the legal route now n see a solicitor they can't do this and not have the relevant answers. I rang them as soon as I got their letter in February and posted everything off the same day even though I didn't have to wish I'd waited till the last minute now. Four weeks without tax credits now n I'm getting in debt as each week goes by

Morgan97 · 02/05/2015 11:33

emmajayne just a quick cheeky question, with your knowledge from work do you have any idea how else I can prove I'm single? I realize it might be awkward for you to answer that but thought I'd ask anyway I'm getting desperate

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 12:59

Morgan97 at the moment it's ur word against their ideas I think and from the sounds of it they're under pressure to save the government money and reach their targets. Go to a solicitor that's ur best bet angel. My friends daughter had them go through her bank accounts and cos her income was less than her outgoings that realised she had help from her partner and went through his accounts and she had to pay back a couple of thousand!!! My mate told me this morning omg

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 14:52

That makes me think they look at every transaction mimz87, I thought maintenance wasn't brought into it which your friends daughter could have said any help from her ex was part of that.
How can they go through someone else's account who doesn't even claim .
God this is getting ridiculous.

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 15:38

Well it's her ex but he lives in the same house like Morgan. Well Ive got a son who lives with his dad and they did ask about maintenance to me on the phone and I said we make our own arrangements. She got a bit stroppy then and said we'll that would come into it???!!!

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 15:49

Mimz87 I was told in 2012 over the phone in a compliance check maintenance didn't come into it, god I'm so confused, one minute they tell you one thing n the next you could be doing something wrong! I always though that was disregarded.

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 15:54

Kittykat60 well that same friend of mine is also disabled and we both had checks from Atos a few years ago to clarify we were ill. Anyway he had a letter to say he'd need no more medicals. Anyway there's a new company the government have brought in to do these checks and when he pointed out he was exempt from any more medicals and had proof they told him it doesnt matter that was the old company and their rules no longer apply. So now i'm strssing over that aswell. They make the rules up as they go along babe i'm sure of it.

Ohmymg · 02/05/2015 16:03

emmajayne just dropping in to say you do still qualify for Childcare element when on maternity leave

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 16:24

It's a disgrace mimz87, they can't keep changing the goalposts especially without anyone knowing, I mean I've never heard of this company, why wasn't it more publicised we were all going to be put through this, I think it's an invasion of people's privacy trawling through every single payment they have had or made for a whole year.

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 16:52

Kittykat60 well i'm only sending them 3 months worth and i've told them that 3 times and i said i don't want any come backs and they did say that was ok. we'll see though. My printer is knackered and i told them im not buying a new printer and im not paying my bank for paper statements cos i have mine all online. They had the cheek to ask if i could get a friend to print them out!! i said no so thats all you can have. I'm bound to get hassle over it but it's tough.

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 16:58

I haven't rang them but will just send a few I'm blanking out anything which isn't a direct debit, or do you think I should ring them first n tell them I'm doing that? God you don't know what to do incase they hold it against you, I've also got no paper bills just the direct debits show my council tax , gas electric, water payments

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 17:17

I wouldnt phone unless you're queried Kittykat60 butyou may add a short covering letter stating you've highlighted the direct debits only as that's what you were told they needed.

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 17:33

Good idea mimz87, god I wish it was all over one way or another, looks like the waiting time from sending off to getting an answer could be as long as 8 weeks.

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 17:42

Kittykat60 I know from what i've heard on hear it's gonna take ages. I'm sending mine tuesday. I'm going to try and put it out of my mind as best I can after that but it's still gonna worry me.

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 18:04

Yes sending mine Tuesday mimz87, that's tie right attitude to have cos it's a long time to be stressed, and there's nothing we can do about the outcome. Thank god for all these mums on here, I'd go crazy without this support.

mimz87 · 02/05/2015 18:15

Kittykat60 yeah me too. My boyfriends calling us the suffregettes lol. Wouldn't be a bad idea to chain ourselves to no 10 they might listen!

Kittykat60 · 02/05/2015 21:04

Ha ha! Actually that's not a bad idea mimz87 .

Morgan97 · 02/05/2015 21:09

KittyKat they might query what you've blanked out they chop n change their minds all the time as to what's right n what's wrong I personally don't think they have a clue what they're doing. Mimz87 ill definitely go see a solicitor I'm running out of options I'm so confused that in 2012 what I sent was enough n now it's not but they won't tell me why n I've sent four letters already n I know they've got them n they know I know cos I've told them the days times n who signed for them! Ha ha the suffregettes I like that. Lets hope labour get in next week cos then ill be taking my letter about this to Downing Street if I have to walk there. Thank you to everyone on here that are keeping me sane,I've done nothing wrong yet feel like a criminal n it's not a good feeling.
