Hello please help if you can , I am worried sick , I got a letter from the above , the letter states We need to talk to you about whether you are living with a partner , I claim tax credit as a single person , they are saying that they have evidence that there may be another ault living with me , I do have a bf whom stays 3 days a week , they wish me to call , and are asking in the letter for Bills, tent from 06 April 2014 to Jan 2015 , scared they are going to horrible on the phone not sure what to make if it , feel sick , any tips or help would be great thank you

No further tgirl went to cab today they've given me a form to fill in hitch is for the start of an appeal but its very complicated. The lady on the phon was lovely considering I was crying all the way through the phonecall told me to fill the form out n send it back or make a new claim OMG seems you're right they haven't a clue what they're doing

Well get it filled in and appeal started ask cab to help you. I don't think they have a clue what they are doing and are just trying to claw money back somehow. They need to go after the rich who don't pay there taxes through loopholes not the single parents who are holding down a job whilst looking after their children. Hope you get someone sensible that looks at your appeal x that's snail post sugarmama lol but glad u got sorted

I'm so fed up of all of this, dds dad is being a complete cock about it all and is just worried about them looking into his finances, not about what this means for his child and the fact she will have no food in her belly or that shes wearing shoes a size too small.

Well Admiral us girls have to stick together,I made my mind up that no matter what my outcome ill make it my mission to stop this bullying one way or another. Due to their decision I now have no money and am soon to be homeless great start to another bad week

This is all so unprofessional. .its almost April and stil no news . This has been going on since middle of January. Even though my case is closed I still haven't receved it in writing to confirm this . Three months. . We were threatened with a stop of payments if we all didn't respond by a specific date . I'm sure most of us did comply with them. If a letter sais it will write to you with an answer within a month. Then this is how it should be . Not almost three!! This is unfair on people having to make them wait with worry. If they are able to send out letters to eveybody demanding info - then what's the delay in sending out documents and letters with the answers . The post nowadays is very fast , things don't reall get lost nowadays . They are telling porky pies to us . " a letter was sent out last week " was the reply I got 4 weeks ago. Well where is it ?? Its disgusting and I really hope nobody has go through this again .

Katy69 you say your case is closed,did they stop your money already if you don't mind me asking. They stopped mine last week n when I called them they said a letter was posted on 20th march I rang again yesterday n they said they would send me a copy then TODAY I got a letter telling me my claim has closed dated 20th march I'm livid and I WON'T let this go

Morgan97. When I called they said my case was closed menaing no changes and further enquiries. They were satisfied therefor my money wasn't stopped . But still not recieved the letter confirming this from them. I don't belie ex they sent it. . Have you called tax credits direct ? I'm sure you can complain to them direct. Have your payments been stopped or suspended ?

Katy my payments have been stopped due to insufficient evidence,not only do I have no money now but face being made homeless this is never ending

Morgan can you get the evidence ?? I came across this webpage wwwTurn2us.org Not sure if it's much help but they have a section on benefits and how to complain. Don't know if they have a contact number , you can check and see . If I come across any other info I'll let you know x

Thank you Katy69 il have a look at that. I only sent them what I had,I sent the same info in 2010 and it was enough then, haven't a clue where to start now but I'm going to fill out an appeal form with a list of all the lying people I've spoken to at tax credits

For anyone awaiting documents back - I had mine returned today signed delivery (same as I sent them) - the letter was dated 6 March so they clearly have a backlog.

Sadly for me I've had to post them straight back at a cost of £6.45 as they didn't scan them the first time I sent them

These disgusting people are blatant liars,how can something take four weeks to receive its madness,I got a letter from tax credits dated 23rd march then week later got my stuff back and my decision but the letter was dated 20th,now no money facing homelessness and an appeal form to fill in. I need a break

Same here, still waiting. Paperwork sent to them in January, supposedly returned to me early February. Always the same response, it's on it's way, be with you soon. Really? Told it was returned recorded delivery same as I sent it. Over a week ago they were going to check the post tracking & see what had happened & of couse no-one has let me know the outcome yet. More time & expense to be wasted next week on yet more phone calls to them probably for the same useless non-answers.

Morgan, did you receive a letter with a decision? Has your award been stopped? Did they tell you why? You poor thing, it sounds like hell

Karmaone yes they told me last Thursday my award had been stopped as they had insufficient evidence to prove I'm single,I rang them as my money didn't go in as usual yet I got the letter telling me me this on Tuesday dated 20th march. I've had the last two months of hell tbh,no money cept my wage from my part time job n to top it all I'm going to be homeless if I don't get this sorted.complete madness. Any advice anyone

Morgan that's dreadful. They can't do this. It's not right. I don't really have any advice apart from to contact CAB and calling HMRC. I too had a letter about my childcare but it's OK now and yours will be too. However it needs sorting very quickly. This makes me so angry.

Karma one,I've been to the CAB they've given me an appeal form to fill in n send off what's confusing is I had the same letter in 2010 sent them exactly what I sent this time as my circumstances are still EXACTLY the same yet they've stopped my money it's appalling they can do this based on one persons decision yet the person who decided this had my covering letter telling them I'd been through this before and sent the same evidence,I even gave them the name of he person who wrote the letter in 2010 they don't care about my situation

This is really odd.

I had another letter from HMRC regarding my childcare costs today. It is identical to the one I had in early March, although this letter's tone and phrasing is remarkably different.

I rang and explained that I had already sent off the information they had requested and was waiting for a decision. I queried why they had sent another letter asking for the same information and was told it was because I had not sent sufficient information first time around. He then said it didn't matter anyway because regardless of the information provided they couldn't do anything because it was the end of the tax year so they'd pick up my information via the renewals process.

It's all very odd indeed, but he went to great lengths to convince me that it is all entirely random and absolutely not because I am being investigated for anything.

I am still waiting on a decision letter and my documents back. Was told 20th March my claim would not be amended have phoned twice since and got two different answers of when said letter and docs were posted out. One said 20th and other said 27th. As yet still nothing. I will not believe anything until I have them in my hand. Absolute disgrace the way people are made to jump through hoops to get information in by a date determined by them and then they don't even have the courtesy to tell you the truth. In top of this being made to feel like a liar and a criminal. I hope the Tories do not get in again as this will happen all the time!!

They've also made a mistake with my total earnings for last year,I got a friend of mine who's an accountant n she showed me how to work it out so it seems they're making mistakes all over the place,written a five page letter asking why my evidence isn't sufficient enough and asking their advice on what else can I do to prove I'm single! Will send this recorded delivery using the money I've found down the sides of the sofa (yes it's that bad) and see if they reply. Too many mistakes are being made and its not fair
