They are not being sent to everyone.i have quite a few friends in similar position to me and none of them have had a letter. No reply still but money gone in as usual.Sick of the whole thing.A whole month of worry. The thought of having to begging to an abusive ex partner for money to be able to live if they stop my money.

All the while trying to help my son with his problems and trying to stay strong for him.will need a counsolar myself soon if this goes on much longer.I know many people in my area who don't evan try and work and just go on the sick while they stand outside the school smoking and swearing. There is endless help for them free school diners, free places at after school clubs, free uniform and school trips just to name a few things.Sorry to rant just p!!!!ssed off with the whole thing.

pepsi123 · 11/02/2015 11:24

We'll itsgoingtoreindeer only time will time.but with the backlog they got it's going to take them years isn't it.got my stuff back Friday and still no decision reply so another week of worrying.Money gone in as usual so does that mean my claim ok or what.Says on the first letter I got they need 10 working days to consider your paperwork so I'm presuming they make their decision before sending your paperwork back or do they copy it and keep it somewhere.i hope they don't do that as they havnt asked my permission to copy my personal documents.

Good morning everyone, it might be nothing to do with it but i sent my paperwork off nearly 2 weeks ago , have had nothing back yet but i have noticed that a new direct debit has been set up on my bank account from a company called seven pub sain i rang my bank and the number and its a private health company who i have no dealings with and she said that their account is being used to set up direct debits , goodness knows where they got my details from .

Exactly itsgoingtoreindeer.my ex has never been made to pay a penny as he does cash in hand jobs to stay under the radar.shame they don't investigate men like him instead of picking on women who are trying to do everything.i have to have someone here with my son as my ex was waiting till I had gone to work and coming round banging on my door trying to see my son.My son would not then stay alone in the house.my doctor advised me to give up work and claim pip for my son but as I explained my work gives me sanity and sets the right example to my children that you work for what you want in life. But they don't make it bloody easy. The stress is unbelievable.

Nicola196847 · 11/02/2015 12:03

Have just rang concentrix and they signed for my paperwork on the 2nd of feb but they say they dont have it !

pepsi123 · 11/02/2015 12:03

Nothing would surprise me Nicola. Why does all of this take so long while we are left dangling not knowing if our money will go in or not.

pepsi123 · 11/02/2015 12:04

What have they told you to do Nicola cos if they don't receive them in the time stated don't they stop your claim?

Re losing paperwork, I think that if you have to send in divorce paperwork (which remember only applies if you were divorced during the time limits they want to see paperwork for, NOT outside that time), then you should be given the option to take it to your local tax office. Losing that kind of documentation could be very costly though not, of course, for Concentrix, only you. Of course it's not good if they lose any paperwork at all, but getting copies of legal documents, such as divorce stuff, will be time consuming and costly.

Alternatively, you could include a 'Special Delivery' pre-paid SAE - a bit costly, but certainly less costly and time consuming than if your documents get lost when they return them.

I'm not holding my breath that I will hear from them any time soon. :-(

SWLady01 · 11/02/2015 12:21

Sorry for the OTT use of the word "costly" in my post above. I got a bit carried away!

Nicola196847 · 11/02/2015 12:34

i havent got to do anything as i dont get any tax credits as my son left college last june and i rang hmrc to inform them . just hope i get all my paperwork back .

Have you heard yet SWlady their decision yet

pepsi123 · 11/02/2015 13:20

Sorry missed your last bit on your post

PausingFlatly · 11/02/2015 13:33

Pre-paid special delivery return envelope will be useless if Concentrix don't actually register the letter with the Royal Mail to go special delivery.

They'll probably just drop it in the sack with the rest.

SWLady01 · 11/02/2015 13:44

PausingFlatly - well there is that problem, but I suppose you have to trust them on that. If they don't, then they should foot the bill for replacement divorce papers etc.

JessAtGingerbread · 11/02/2015 15:58

Hi everyone, we've been sent this thread along with some questions around the issue. Our website has information on the compliance checks being carried out by Concentrix on behalf of HMRC, including how to discuss your circumstances, how to make a complaint and how tax credits are affected if your circumstances change. Hope this helps: gingerbread.org.uk/content/2081/HMRC-compliance-checks-through-Concentrix

I received the same document, and after three long telephone calls to the centre, spoke to three separate employees of Concentric who were unable to give me any evidence at all, basically because they don't have any! It's all very intrusive and has caused unnecessary upset. When I asked for their CEO name and address they stated there wasn't one! But you CAN write to the address provided in the top right hand corner of the vile letter to ask.for the evidence against you.If enough of us contest this and go to our local.Citizens Advice Bureaux for legal.help.to contest this bullying tactic. The government made such a cock.up of the Universal Credit, this is a sneaky way of covering their tracks.Big brother is watching us!

Morgan97 · 11/02/2015 16:58

Well ive sent my reply to the letter I received, enclosed the receipts I have like I've been advised to do so now I play the waiting game, incidentally I also went to citizens advice and they told me to do that too. So now ill be worrying until I get a reply from them, been told it takes two weeks to sort out, will keep you all posted its nice to share these things makes it a bit easier knowing I'm not the only one so thank you for reading and helping.

Morgan97 · 11/02/2015 17:18

Also Pepsi 123 I missed your thread until I went back a couple of pages,it's good you got your stuff back, not so good still waiting for a decision though. The guy at citizens advice was really helpful,he said to send the receipts I have with a written reply stating my situation, which I did,he also advised to to set up a direct debit to the person who's house I live in. Apparently it's not the fact I live in a house with another adult that they are querying its the fact that they want to know that i am I'm financially independent yet all I have is piddly receipts each month stating how much I pay and what it's for. God knows what I'll do if they say its not enough evidence, hope things get sorted for all of us x

pepsi123 · 11/02/2015 19:09

Hi Morgan it says on the first letter from them that they need 10 working days to consider your paperwork so don't understand why they can't send their decision back with it.It just says they will write to you shortly about your tax credit claim.Money went in today as usual so not sure what that means.Yeah citizen advice say to send all the stuff they want but who knows if that's the write thing to do.I don't know what they do if you have random amounts going in your bank like my daughter bought a bed out of my catalogue and gives me random amounts of money to pay each month of it.sonwill they see that as income. Its like you can't have a normal live like everyone else and everything you do is scrutinised by someone going through your papers.
