You don't need one of these so called specialist firms to do it.

I have received an offer of £4221 from M&S in the post this morning.

All it took was a letter asking for my original signed application and then a claim form.

I started the process on 30th October and received my offer today for the cost of some paper and a couple of recorded delivery envelopes.

I am still waiting to hear from a couple of other lenders but what a fantastic start to the weekend.

Old GOLDFISH credit card

I held a Goldfish credit cartd 2005 - 2006 - I then moved house and paid of the debt in full. Stupidly I destroyed all the paperworkI believe that Goldfish no longer exists? I was told that Barclaycard took over the Goldfish accounts - I have written to Barclaycard giving my previous address/previous surname/ relevent date's etc but they cannot trace any details at all for me? I am at a loss as to what to do next? help

Not sure when the Sale to Barclays was, prior to that, Goldfish were a subsidary of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Hi me again

Sent all my basic letters out to all banks, building societies,,stores and replies are beginning to come back. Halifax have sent me numerous dorms to fill in wanting to know dates and accounts, one saying they have no record of me having a credit card, which I did. I explained in original letters I didn't have all old details so how do they expect me to fill these forms in (within 14 days)?!

can anyone help? My parents have had car loans on and off for forty years through the Bank of Scotland. Ive called them but both the bank and Blackrock are saying they need reference numbers...theyve moved house and have none on the paperwork. Blackjack suggested going to the car dealership but they don't exist anymore. Is there anything else I can do to help them?

I never thought this even applied to me. My mortgage was paid off about 14-15 years ago and I haven't had a loan since. However, I now recall I had a Barclaycard credit card within the last 10 years, which I cut up some years ago.

Do I write to Barclay's head office or the branch where my account was held?

Sorry, also forgot to ask, is there a time limit on this? would it be worth also checking with my mortgage provider even though I paid back mortgage 15ish years ago?
