Have to go my MIL has come over, she lives 3 houses away now.

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2009 17:35

Ooh I had an email from you didn't I?

I am coming in to say I am going to post on the book I have, then drop out until after the baby is born My brain is too fuzzy for new books, I am just comfort reading old ones.

TrillianAstra · 14/04/2009 18:01

no new books? How will you cope?

psychomum5 · 14/04/2009 18:02

trillian, she will cope.

tis better this way anyway......she never remembers what she reads during pregnancy.tis her brian, does funny things

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2009 18:36

To be fair, I do have a house of unread books if I feel the need

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 14/04/2009 18:55

House full of unread books sounds lovely, can I come and steal them help you tidy them?

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2009 19:36

See this is the thing - I either borrow, or am just randomly loaned (or I join up to schemes like this) so many books that the ones I actually buy can wait a couple of years before reading

I am reading a new book atm. Impulse buy the day after my birthday and it is oddly indulgent feeling (Psycho has prob already bought it - The Intruders, tis by the Straw Men guy)

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 15/04/2009 17:42

If you need any books pre-checking to see if they're good I'm available... you don't want to waste your time on rubbish ones

Book is in the post now Psycho - think it's supposed to be your March one (originally from Korma) but AFAIK Squilly hasn't had any subsequent books from Korma at all.

tillyfernackerpants · 18/04/2009 21:49

I've lost track already . Is the last book I got the April one, or should I be sending it on?

Really, I shouldn't it be finding it difficult should I?!

Psycho, am of chocolate, am trying to lose weight so chocolate out of the window!

tillyfernackerpants · 19/04/2009 14:34

Oops, just realised you're probably wondering who I am, its Rosmerta btw, fancied a name change!

squilly · 19/04/2009 17:24

I'm 'fraid I have had no books since the last one I passed on Triilian, so yup...nothings come through for a while.

Not sure what will happen for May but I'm hoping something might land to save me from my Mark Billingham/crime fic obsession (and I swore I'd never be like my mother - [deluded old bint emoticon])

Hope everyone's having fun and good luck with the baby-birthing thing Flame Am slightly about new baby stuff as I'm hitting brood overload. Hopefully it's just the menopause

Flamesparrow · 19/04/2009 18:05

I still haven't sent mine on

Squilly - I have a book you'd prob quite like if you liked the Billingham ones - can post that when/if I get round to posting the other

Who was posting to sleepyeyes? I have another address for her here and can't find my original list

OP posts:
squilly · 19/04/2009 20:51

Flame, I think you have enough on your plate with impending baby! If you get chance to send one, don't get me wrong...I'm always up for a bit of reading But if you don't, no worries. I've got a few dozen books ready to be read on the bookshelf, some good, some bad, some downright trashy! And lots of fantasy which was my preferred choice of reading porn pre-crime fic. Ah, you've got to love the books

I was posting to DrTrillianA, so I don't know sleepeyes addy...sorry.

TheMadHouse · 19/04/2009 20:56

Mad sneeks in and does a little wave thing.

I am here, will post my book next week.

I have had a terrmible time and this time I am being self centred - I nearly died . I had a v serious post op infection (read sepsis) and was v poorly on IV domestos.

It is a long road to revovery and I still have open wounds and stoma bag - not a pretty site.

So Flame - get your bum in gear and post me a book woman - I am desperate for some reading, as I have nothing and I mean nothing left!!!

TheMadHouse · 19/04/2009 20:57

I have just reread the thread - Flames having a baby - when did that pass me by

squilly · 19/04/2009 21:08

Oh my God....Madhouse! How scary!!! Do you want me to send you a book? I've got loads! Tell me your genre and I'll send you a 'get better soon' book!

And if I haven't got the kind you're looking for, give me til next weekend. Weather permitting, I'm car-booting, so I'm bound to find a truckful of stuff by then!

TheMadHouse · 19/04/2009 21:15

Sqilly - very scary indeed, although I think DH suffered much more than I did. I was delirious and ranting about if they let me die I was going to come back and haunt them I also told a doctor not to patronise me when she told me that if I lay still I wouldnt hurt as much

I like crime, thrillers, horror, si fi - but will read anything at the moment including washing instructions

squilly · 19/04/2009 21:19

Oooh....I'll put together a red cross style book parcel for you. I'll see what I got!

So sorry to hear you've had such a bad time and poor DH. They do seem to have major sense of humour malfunctions when we get really ill. Somewhat understandable!

And good for you at telling the doctor off. They get so damned blase about patients and suffering, hence the stupid things they say....like lie still and it won't hurt as much! and not suprised emoticon!

squilly · 19/04/2009 21:47

Just thought...you'll have to cat me your address madhouse or an address I can send the parcel to...I've got no idea what I'm doing. DOH!

Flamesparrow · 19/04/2009 21:57

Madhouse! Will endeavour to get head out of arse by tuesday at latest!
