Okay, my book is posted!
It's probably a bit late to tell you all this, but Poundland has 8 jiffy bags for £1 - just the right size for paperbacks.

spanielsmom · 11/01/2008 15:51

Am at work and book at home too. I

will be posting it first class tomorrow morning - sorry.

jezzemx · 11/01/2008 15:52

Posted today
ENJOY

havalina · 11/01/2008 16:43

Mine will be posted tomorrow, took the book to the post office but not the address to send it to [dumb]

kittylouise · 11/01/2008 16:46

I will be posting the book tomorrow as well, it is PISSING down and freezing cold to boot and couldn't bear to walk to the PO in it.

shoshe · 11/01/2008 16:55

Have sent mine, but Big G any possibility we can send on a Saturday instead, i had to drag 3 mindees in the rain to the post office today, then fight a double buggy and a seat2go up steps, I could just waltz in on my own on a Saturday

jofeb04 · 11/01/2008 18:26

Mine's going to be posted tomorrow. Weather has been bad all day, so haven't risked walking to the postoffice (half a hour from me)!.

BecauseImWorthIt · 11/01/2008 18:54

What a load of wusses! I went out in the pouring rain to send mine off!

shoshe · 11/01/2008 19:01

I was surprised how cheap it was to send, i sent mine in a A$ envolpe folded over with masses of sticky tape, ( will take some getting out) and it was only 98p 1st Class as went as a large letter!

thegrowlygus · 11/01/2008 19:04

Oooh - mine was 1.98 - clearly jiffy bag isn't the way to go!

shoshe · 11/01/2008 19:05

Was a bit worried about it ripping hence the selotape, but it was a pound cheaper!

I know anything for a cheap life me.

BecauseImWorthIt · 11/01/2008 19:11

Mine was £1.84 in a padded envelope. Why should it be different?!

shoshe · 11/01/2008 19:17

Beacause it was in aplain A4 envlope that I folded over and stuck down, so it was classed as a 'large letter' not a parcel.

mazzystar · 11/01/2008 19:18

i have also just read email and thread. we have been confined to base camp today with pox-ridden children, but will do it tommorrow - sorry.

Heifer · 11/01/2008 19:19

Another one that didn't make it to the post office today..

Will post tomorrow so hopefully there by Monday...

Enjoy

Cheers MamaG - look forward to receiving it..

Out of interest - what happens if we have already read the book, shall we pretend that we haven't or just be honest.???

twofishes · 11/01/2008 19:50

leoleo · 11/01/2008 20:03

Well I have sent mine in a jiffy bag that had been sent to me so i restuck and covered address. Sealed up realised I didn't know the initails for definate.
re-opened and sealed.
realised address was inside...
re-opened and re-sealed...with no word of a lie the address still inside - i'd stuffed into envelope not paying attention.
!!RE-OPENED RE-SEALED FOR VERY LAST TIME!!
Now the evelope is covered in sellotape - sorry. also a crossing out on address.
Couldn't get to post office so i put 7 first class stamps on it. I hope it gets there. If someone has to pay extra pls let me know and i will refund you

IF YOU WANT TO KICK ME OUT - EVEN MORE SO WHEN YOU GET MY CHOICE PLEASE SAY NOW [SAD]

leoleo · 11/01/2008 20:04

Also.. I put the name of the book in my thread and realised no one else has..

oh the shame

leoleo · 11/01/2008 20:05

seeker - me too! i love this. how sad?

havalina · 11/01/2008 20:27

I know I already have one of the books, but I haven't read it yet, I think we should just be honest.

BurpyErnie · 11/01/2008 20:52

Just finished work, mines in the post tomorrow.

leoleo · 11/01/2008 21:14

twofishes · 11/01/2008 21:31
