How sad am I?
Saw my auth/title choice yesterday in the whsmith sale for £2.99 so bought it again.
The person I am sending to will have a spanking new copy not the really tatty (I mean really really disgusting tatty) copy I have on my bookshelves.
MamaG sounds as if we are all in for a lovely treat. No duplicates, a good mix of titles etc...

Idris, the reason I haven't mailed you is that you are the last on teh list (so to speak) so if vacua comes back to me in time, you'll be sending to her but if not, you'll be sending to someone else (the person vacua would have been sending to)

Ooh so glad I found the book club thread!

I spent AGES choosing a book - sat there looking at the bookshelfs wondering what to pick. My dd tried to help but kept on suggesting my comfort books, such as Jilly Cooper. And as much as I love Rupert Campbell-Black thought I would send something else!

Hope I get mine to go away with. I'm going to Champneys for 4 days! A friend of mine has won a make-over competition and is taking me and another friend with her. I'm so looking forward to it. I've been so, so busy with work before Christmas, then cooking/catering all over Christmas/New Year - the instant I stopped I went down with a horrible cold, that I'm still suffering from.

So 4 days in a health farm, with someone else cooking for me, lots of lovely treatments and books to read will be bliss!

I have just read MamaG's email and this thread, I'm at work but my book is at home, really sorry but I'm not going to be able to send it until tomorrow, I will send it first class so hopefully it will arrive on Monday.

OK - have restarted my thread with the correct initials as, in my sleepless state this morning I managed to put in the wrong initials.
I am a dimwit.

I am also reconsidering my vague ideas of proofreading as an additional career!
