Think they may have to know. Or just say nothing. You could end up lying to cover up more lying. If you know what i mean? And that could make it all worse for you.

Off to bed now so good luck with hospital. Will look for you tomorrow night. You'll be in my thoughts

susiecutiemincepies · 20/11/2007 22:59

Well, perhaps you could use the smear as a good reason. tell them you had a letter reminding you to go for one ( i get one every 3 years I think.. or is it 2 ? anyway, just say you got one, and thought, you ought to this time... maybe ?

I do hope are able to move forward from this now, and not need any further treatment.
They will take another test, and a blood test and likely scan you too. then if any thing is seen still there, you'd need a small operation. It would be an E.R.P.C. if you do. which is "evacuation of the retained products of conception". sometimes needed if it did not all come out. it may have looked complete to you, but sometimes bits of the sac, or placenta etc may have been left in. if you dont have it done, it really can lead to infection which can cause future problems.

Good luck and i hope you can find time to go. Its important time really, for your health.

but unless you give them a little fib you will get lots of questions!
seeing eye speacialist?
your employer has to keep your reasoning confidential! so its your choice whether you tell anyone else!
reviewing your contraception? anything or the truth or it was personal!

dd666 · 21/11/2007 01:21

at my spelling!

mears · 21/11/2007 12:13

Hope you get on OK. Still don't understand why you cannot tell your ex that you have had a miscarriage - what is the crime?

dd666 · 21/11/2007 13:01

I don't understand why your x shouldn't know. But, I do understand that he might be upset if you tell your friends and not him. I mean you guys did this together, why should he be protected from the burdon of knowing why you go through all of this anxiety alone. The very least you deserve is to be able to talk about it (if you want to). It's your choice of course. But, please don't feel like you are a burdon when he has other things to worry about.

How is going to react if you don't tell him and he finds out? Is he going to appreciate that you tried to protect him or is he going to be hurt that he was excluded?

GloriaInEleusis · 21/11/2007 15:30

BTW, you could perhaps tell your friends that you were referred to hospital for some more tests, that you don't know anything yet. Tell them you really aren't up to talking about it right now but that you will tell them in the not too distant future. You could say you got an abnormal smear result and they whisked you in for more tests. (of course this could potentially turn into lies to cover up lies)

they will be checking the hcg levels in your blood, which is odd really because they dont have a previous sample to compare.i find it odd that they didnt do a scan and i think maybe you should givwe them a call tomorrow as you are still no wiser as to whats happened than you were this morning

Santasmissyontheside · 21/11/2007 21:13

That is odd. I'd call back again.
