Get an emergency one they may give you a time to come in and wait to be seen. But make sure you make it clear its urgent. Good luck and please let us know how you are! I'll be thinking of you and will check thread throughout day.

Good Luck darlin', let us know how you get on.

will be thinking of you xxxx

MF - please go straight to your local A & E dept and they will scan you straight away (or next day at the latest). Pregnancy test and blood test will still show up as positive (as one of the early replies stated on this thread) as the hormones stay in your body until shortly after you have had a miscarriage.

But you may not have had a miscarriage and you need a scan to either confirm or eliminate this.

Very best of luck xx

No need to go to A&E unless you have very heavy bleeding. From what you describe it sounds as though you have had a miscarriage. Your GP should refer you to the early pregnancy unit for a scan. If you have heavy bleeding though, soaking pads through, you should call the doctor tonight.

Hopefully you will be fine and get seen tomorrow. How do you feel about it?

if your local hospital has an EPU I would try phoning up -you'd probably get the gynae ward at this time of night, but there should be a doctor around who could advise you and book you in -that's what i did when i had my MC at the beginning of the year, they were really helpful

yes, call nhs direct.

scorpio1 · 20/11/2007 12:05

i think you need to be seen by someone today, what has happened needs someone to look at you.

NHS direct will be able to help. Could you go to your nearest EPU?

GloriaInEleusis · 20/11/2007 12:06

They will either put your mind at ease that you are fine, or they will advise you on what to do -- far better than I can.

epu = early pregnancy unit, most hospitals with a maternity dept have one these days, sometimes you need to be referred by your gp though, so i'd push your gp for an emergency appointment. epu will most likely do a pg test, take bloods and maybe scan to check there isn't anything been left behind.

poor you, hope you're ok

Charlee · 20/11/2007 12:20

Early Pregnancy Unit.

lucykate · 20/11/2007 12:21

mf - keep trying to ring your gp, if you can't get through, can you get to the surgery?

i think you need to be checked, with m/c there is always the threat of excess bleeding or infection, better to play it safe
