Dear all

I was 12 weeks pregnant, went for the scan and told baby stopped developing at 6 weeks 2.7 mm - I am off for another scan this Friday to make certain theres no further growth, if not then I will need to work out arrangements for miscarriage process. has anyone had the ERPC? am I able to request this at the hospital on the day? I would opt for tablets and suffer at home but im scared of what I might see... some people said its like a heavy period, others said they saw a sac and fetus and that would really hurt me to see.. plus if not all the pregnancy comes out, id have to go back to hospital to have the remains taken

if anyone has any advise on this that would be great
thank you

So sorry for your loss. This happened to me at my 16 week scan, told they baby had died probably 11 weeks. I had an ERPC. It is nothing to worry about, fairly quick and simple op. I went on to have 2 healthy children. I still often think of that baby, I always think of it as a girl, she would have been 30 this Christmas Eve [floweres]

@OctoberGirl91

Hey! It's good it's all done with now .

Ended pretty quickly, so it was a little longer and heavier but then today that's it all done and dusted.

Back to ovulation testing again as it's normal in a weeks time my peak day.

How about for you any signs of anything? Xx

I know the feeling. I used to moan how short my cycles were then realised for baby making it's a good thing as more chances of trying.

It's pants when you have no children and really want to start that part of my life.. as a family.

One day soon I hope xx hopefully yours starts soon, when would it be due?

Hello @Funnybunnyfluff

AF was due as of yet she hasn't arrived and I am getting the faintest positive on cheap one step tests, not the strips though so I've been and bought some first response and a digital to try, I don't think I am though tbh. I am worried I've got some hormones left in my system, but would I have ovulated if that was case? I'll show you some photos.

How are you have you had peak yet? X

@OctoberGirl91

I can't see the lines on the first 2 image but I can on the last.

You never know that could be a good sign and also that AF has not arrived. I wouldn't imagine you would ovulate if you still had hormones.

Had flashing face for the last 3 days so have been jumping on the DH lol. Let him sleep last night and will tackle him again tonight Wink.

Let's hope it's a positive xxx does seem a long time to wait for AF but I guess they do say 4/6 weeks.

Yes I was 5 weeks yesterday from operation, I’ve done just a first response and it was negative I know on my heart I’m not pregnant which is sad, I’ve spent so much money this month on tests and all sorts, just feel very angry as I already conceived my baby and then it was taken from me.
Think am going have to step back a bit and chill out it’s not doing me any good and I’m obviously still grieving. Good luck Let me know how you get on xx

@Funnybunnyfluff Period arrived tonight so back to cycle day 1!

When should I use the ovulation sticks?xx

@OctoberGirl91

I know it's not ideal but least that's a relief to know your body is back to normal.

It's difficult to tell as I know they are not cheap tests but maybe his time try a few days after your period ends and take note if it's negative maybe leave it a day or so.

My cycles are short so I will ovulate again soon in the next day or so I would think but that's only from tracking for a few months I know.

I think it's normally 12/14 days before the start of your next period. So if you know your cycle you should be able to roughly guess.

Crazy body science

Hi Everyone- I’m new to the forum but have found it so helpful after going through what is now my fifth miscarriage in 3 years. Today I had my fourth Surgical Management procedure, a decision that I made primarily so I could find some answers as to why this happened. After my 3rd, two years ago I swore that if this ever happened again I would do it naturally. But when the time came I simply couldn’t bring myself to do it. After so many miscarriages I just need answers.

Has anyone had 4 or more of these procedures and gone on to have successful pregnancies? I’m worried about the possibility of Asherman’s Syndrome, so any positive stories would really help a lot right now.

@Janine1278

Sorry for your loss, unfortunately I have no advice as this was my first MMC and first pregnancy. I don't know what the future holds for me.

The EPU told me once someone has 3 Miscarriages in a row they are happy to start investing. Is this something you have spoken to them about?

I can't imagine the heartbreak you feel and can only say I'm sorry for what you have been through the last few years.

@Funnybunnyfluff was your first period heavy? It started off light and tonight just seems to getting heavier xx

Report
Funnybunnyfluff · 10/11/2018 21:21

@OctoberGirl91

Yes it was definitely heavier than normal. I found it a bit all over the place thought it was ending day 3 then day 4 was really heavy. Don't let it catch you out. Again from what I was told it's normal to be heavier first time round.

Just ordering some refill sticks for my CB ovulation test ready I've had a 28 days cycle this month which is usually for me as they can be as long as 30 sometimes. Xx
