Dear all

I was 12 weeks pregnant, went for the scan and told baby stopped developing at 6 weeks 2.7 mm - I am off for another scan this Friday to make certain theres no further growth, if not then I will need to work out arrangements for miscarriage process. has anyone had the ERPC? am I able to request this at the hospital on the day? I would opt for tablets and suffer at home but im scared of what I might see... some people said its like a heavy period, others said they saw a sac and fetus and that would really hurt me to see.. plus if not all the pregnancy comes out, id have to go back to hospital to have the remains taken

if anyone has any advise on this that would be great
thank you

@Eantonette
Morning

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, I opted for the ERPC just because like you I didn't want to see the loss or know how it would affect. I lost my baby around 30th September and didn't have surgery till 4th October, I was very nervous having never been put to sleep before but honestly the recovery was better than expected, physically. Mentally I feel I have a long way to go, I am very fortunate to have already have two beautiful daughters, although this doesn't make my grieving process any easier.

Also like @Funnybunnyfluff I am keen to try again and found the advice to be medically there is no reason to wait but for dating purposes to wait, I have drove myself mad with goggle and looking for answer for recurrent MC if trying too early as this is my first.

Me and DH have decided to start again as soon as I stopped bleeding and I have started tracking ovulation 2 days ago as I've had some signs things are moving on no positive as of yet.

I hope your operation goes well and you take the time to heal, we are always here and I found this thread very helpful for me.

Xx

Thank you so much for your advice and experiences. It’s really helpful to know that there are others who have had a very similar experience. Do you mind me asking what Apps you use to track ovulation? I was fortunate to get pregnant almost straight away once we decided to start trying and im terrified it will now take us forever. I can’t even begin to imagine how anxious I will be when I do fall pregnant again!

I have decided to take this next week off work to try and come to terms with everything although I know it will take much longer than this. It reassures me that people on this post have mostly given positive feedback regarding the op.

Much love to you both xx

@Eantonette

We really are in the same boat our first month of trying we fell pregnant and had the MMC. I have been tracking the ovulation dates for 4 ish months before then to see how it works from a friends advice. So again the same as you and I am also worried now that it won't be so easy.

I use the Ovia. It's a good app can track lots of things and it's great to look back and see what's been going on as it's easy to forget.

Xxx

@Eantonette @Funnybunnyfluff

I also use the Ovia App I find it the best I log all my symptoms on it daily and also using clear blue advanced ovulation sticks as well, we also fell pregnant same month we decided we wanted a third and unfortunately was not meant to be.

I have also been off week for 3 weeks @Eantonette and I'm asking for an extra week I was due to go back this week but hospital accidentally sent me, my invitation for a 12 week scan and it's set me back 😢

I'm hopeful I'll ovulate this week the signs are building so want to focus on that too.

Will think of you this week, it's going be a tough week but you'll get through it even if it will never leave you I felt closure I knew baby would be sent for cremation instead of being flushed down toilet if I had done medical management and don't think I would hesitate again, although I Hope none of us have to experience this heartache again.

Lots of love xx

The hospital also did that to me sent me the appointment and had to phone up and say that's nice very nice and they said sorry. However it's not kind bad miscommunication.

I was off work 2 weeks and went back 3 days after my op.

Take the time you need Eantonette. It's really hard because you feel well your not sick and I have never been off work sick. My head was really messed up xx

@OctoberGirl91

Oh that's excellent news I would say yes start and I would imagine tomorrow possibly the day after you should get a solid face.

Mine is normally the next afternoon.Also just if you have not read all the instructions you will get a solid face meaning peak and that solid face will stay on it for maybe 24hrs. Then clear ready for next month.

Don't do what I did thought it was broken and threw it away for my DH to say numpty you didn't read the instructions lol. Had to buy another one.

Have you tested today .

I have had a bit of bleeding/brownish discharge today this happened to me last Monday and both times we had DTD on the Saturday not sure if it's something to do with that.

I'm not going to worry. Have you had any experiences that don't seem to be to normal?

Hope you have the solid face xx

@Funnybunnyfluff

I got another flash face did FMU and this afternoon about 3, although my lines are definitely darker this afternoon, I had heard a lot of people don't get peak on first month as it's getting use to your hormones, I know it's near because of my CM.
We are going stick to DTD every other day to cover ourselves.

No not really any any unusual symptoms I have been really fatigued though and getting pelvic cramps.
If your concerned hun speak to EPU, have you still got your solid face?

Let's hope it's our month and a healthy baby 🤞🏻xx

Oh yes I had not thought about that. I'm not to worried it was only a little bit.

You may have a flashing face for a few days before solid.i only test once a day not to get carried away.

Solid face is on the stick for a good 24/48 hours. I don't bother testing after that. We have only DTD on peak day this month. I don't mind If period comes back.. I kind of want a piss up lol.

I am still getting flashy faces day 3 today, but line seems fainter today, does that mean anything?

CM seems to be barely there now as well 😒x

@OctoberGirl91
keep testing I'm sure it will happen. If not this month least you know you have high fertility. And you have more days of getting pregnant with the high fertility window your having.

I'm not very good with all the short terms on here. What does CM stand for and I assume AF means period? Sorry for being daft.

I have only just learnt them trying to keep up 🙈
Cervical Mucus is Cm and Aunt Flo is Period, or so I believe.

I hope it comes, I know I'm going so emotional to get my period just got to have faith my body will do what it wants, when it's ready.

You had any bloody discharge? My boobs are still really veiny, there only symptom which has hung around although I've definitely got a negative pregnancy test x

Yes still have a bit of browny discharge it comes and goes.
All my symptoms have gone completely boob are fine.

I'm looking forward to AF unless I'm pregnant again which I will be a bit scared about.

Amazing news that you are ovulating! Sending you all the luck that you will get pregnant soon :) do you mind me asking how long it’s been since you miscarried to this point? I has my ERPC surgery yesterday which went really well and I’ve pretty much stopped bleeding already! I just have no idea when to expect ovulation to start. Does the date of the surgery count as the day of your last period?

I’m trying hard not to rush things. My boyfriends brother and girlfriend will be announcing their pregnancy to friends and family soon and I don’t think my boyfriend understands how hard I am going to find this, I just know that when I finally fall pregnant again I will stop feeling the stab of jealousy as it’s not like me to feel this way.

@Eantonette

I had my surgery on the 5th September and my peak ovulation day was the 19th. Exactly 2 weeks after.

I believe the op counts as your last period yes from what the nurse told me. I normally ovulate between 9-14 days after the first day of my last period so my body was about right. My cycles are short between 21-26 days. So next week my period should start. We DTD a couple of times around peak day.

I'm sort of hoping my period starts so I know my body is Okay but then I'd be happy to be pregnant again but scared incase i have not left enough time.

Can you talk to your partner and make him aware that it's difficult. I think I told you my DH brother is expecting their first child also so it's really difficult. They do not know what we have been through. Talk to him I'm sure he does understand but maybe needs to express it more these fella can be closed books.

My DH has been so caring and I have been a bitch to him over the last 6 weeks. Just with hormones and MMC. However I'm feeling better now and he said you seem like your old self this week and his to see me smile so all back on track 😀 xxx

@Eantonette

I lost my baby on 30th September but didn't have surgery until 4th, my peak has been two weeks from the day I stopped bleeding which was around a week after it all fully stopped.

I'm usually between 28-32 day cycle and only usually bleed for 48 hours max. I'm hoping to DTD tonight once Hubby is home.

@Funnybunnyfluff I'm scared too if I fall pregnant not sure I would dare tell anyone till I was further along, but there wasn't any medical reason why I couldn't just for dating so see what happens have to trust it's in nature's hands now.

Good luck to you both whenever time is right for you xx

I also stopped bleeding like @OctoberGirl91 and then 3/4 days later bleed heavy which was scary so keep pads on you just incase.

My MMC was confirmed 13th September after 2 failed medical management I had op of the 5th October. To long to wait really.

Did you experience any cramping after Ovulation?
I seem to have some mild cramping centrally down below.
Hoping it isn't my body braking everything down for AF x
