ERPC operation

Dear all

I was 12 weeks pregnant, went for the scan and told baby stopped developing at 6 weeks 2.7 mm - I am off for another scan this Friday to make certain theres no further growth, if not then I will need to work out arrangements for miscarriage process. has anyone had the ERPC? am I able to request this at the hospital on the day? I would opt for tablets and suffer at home but im scared of what I might see... some people said its like a heavy period, others said they saw a sac and fetus and that would really hurt me to see.. plus if not all the pregnancy comes out, id have to go back to hospital to have the remains taken

if anyone has any advise on this that would be great

Hi jenz, what an experience you have been through. Thanks for sharing. I hope you are healing well, both physically and emotionally too. I also hope you have lots of daily support. I had my op almost a month ago and am still waiting for my period too. Fingers cross for all of us and our rainbow babies. Xx

@Jenz1983 Can't even imagine how horrendous that experience must have been for you sending you lots of love!

They tried to do my EPRC with just a spinal injection and I refused I wasn't actively passing anything just spotting, they were concerned because I never had GA before and I am asthmatic but I knew I could live through the procedure being awake, luckily GA had no effect on my Asthma.

@julygirl how regular where your periods before your Loss?

Mine use to be between 28-32 days but I just feel like I could be ovulating I'm only 11 days post op and my back aches and I've got left sided pain, but my left ovary was the ovary which produced the egg which I just lost so not sure if it's just folical pains.

I'm hoping we all get our rainbow babies xx

Hi @octobergirl91, my periods were rediculously regular, almost always 27 days. Since the mc I've tested positive for ovulation stick (7 days later!! ) and then two weeks later got physically symptoms as well so my body is completely all over the place. I'm hoping it comes soon (itll my luck it arrives this weekend for our anniversary weekend but hey go).

I'm no longer officially pregnancy test positive, mixed emotions.

Hopefully now this will encourage ovulation and AF

That's good to hear least that is closure as sad as it is.

I had really heavy bleeding yesterday no idea why. But nothing today... I'm so confused and stressed about it. If only I knew what was going on.

I may test tonight when I get home, see how I feel.

Mines still there not as bad today. Think I will call EPU as I'm worried.
Yesterday was the worst day and I'm so emotional. Really struggling and I don't know why.

Aww I know that feeling @Funnybunnyfluff I had my birthday today and didn't really celebrate tbh, I've learnt to ride the waves some days I am emotional and I just keep indoors other days I prefer to keep busy and get about.

We are all here for you, if your concerned definitely call EPU better to be safe.

Next big step for me is back to work next week, I keep telling myself I'm moving forward but never on, just because it still matters to me, seeing that little heartbeat fluttering for two scans to then see a still baby really broke my heart 💔
But each day it starts to hurt a little less.

After a storm there is always a rainbow 🌈 let's hope we get something to focus and look forward too xx

Hey, I phoned the EPU she didn't sound to concerned and said to wait until the end of the week. Discos still there a little brown/pinky but nothing major.

I have done the ovulation test the last 3 days out of curiosity mainly to see if my body is going back to normal. Last 3 days nothing but today have a flashing smily face (high fertility) first smile I have had in ages. My heart is saying let's DTD my head is saying no wait.... ahhh!!! I feel like my body has been through so much I'm scared. With the pills and surgery.

Have you dont the ovulation test at all? You mentioned you would start tracking? Just wondering if you meant this month? Xx

Aww that's exciting! I ordered one online (wishing I had gone to shop now) I've ordered the clear blue digital ovulation!

You do whatever feels best for you, we have being doing the DTF regularly and not using any contraception. I'm ready to be pregnant again, although I'm still going through process.

Let me know how you get on if you have go to EPU, fingers crossed I've still had no bleeding.

The clear blue digital one is the one I use really good.

That's good to know you are not waiting hopefully my DH will be happy to start trying.

I was using cheap sticks and they seemed to be rubbish. I've ordered that one that apparently tells you your most 4 fertile days, so hopefully it helps us.

I have a strange feeling I'm not going ovulate this month as I feel like AF is coming, wonder if I do ovulate if it will be two weeks after my bleeding stopped if that makes sense.

My DH is anxious about having another MC but I have told him I really miss being pregnant, so he's reluctant but we've spoke it through and going see what happens, we have started taking some vitamins recommended on internet just to see if it gives us better chance, with my DD No 2 I was taking the trying to conceive seven seas for 6 months before hand.

How you feeling? I was a bit weepy as it was two weeks today xx

I was just thinking be 2 weeks tomorrow for me and I'm a bit sad my DH friend told us last night there pregnant due April so another kick it feels like for us. They don't know what we are going through. I said not to tell them as it will burst their bubble.

I'm hoping to have a chat with DH and see if we can start trying again.

I'm feeling better today than I did at the start of the week and I'm off tomorrow so I think that's cheer me up a bit.

Glad you are feeling better, I today also feel more optimistic as I'm back to work on Tuesday so that will be my next hurdle as few week know what's happened so I'm nervous to have the conversation.

Lots of baby dust if you decide to start TTC again.

I'm hoping to get my ovulation test today although my boobs are sore this morning I'm wondering if AF is on her way and I've definitely had no fertile CM xx

Anyone got experience with clear blue digital the one that detects 4 or more fertile days?

I have done a test today and got the circle however when removing there was a second line not as strong as other but not there, I'll keep testing everyday but does this mean LH is building up for ovulation?xx

I have the clear blue. Really clear as it shows a flashing face for high fertility and a solid face for peak which is what I have today. The face will then go after a good few hours rdy to use again.

I never look at the sticks only what the rest tell me.

Ah yes so day before yesterday got the O then yesterday a flashing face and today a solid face. I have done it before and got a flashing face for a couple of days before the solid. I have also done it one my first go and got the solid face which was so lucky not to have to waste to many.

I think we will start front hubby is home from work in a couple of hours

@Funnybunnyfluff I think ovulation May be on way I've got pelvic cramping and lower back pain on left hand side, I do my OPK at 11am but when reading box it says first morning urine, which do you you?

Going do my urine first thing tomorrow, got another O today but usually after I have this pain 2-3 days later is when I get the CM. Fingers crossed we will see.

I actually do mine in the afternoon. I have actually done a reading before and the morning and afternoon said different, only happened once.

To be honest we never get chance to DTD in the morning so I check In afternoon.

We DTD last night on my Peak day! Bit nervous now. Hope yours happens in the next day or so.

Hello,

I hope you don’t mind me joining in but these posts have brought some comfort. I found out at my 11 week scan on Friday that I had a mmc at 8/9 weeks. I had no symptoms so we are absolutely devastated. I have opted for the ERPC as my body is showing no signs of letting go two weeks on and I hated the idea of what I might see and waiting around. We are keen to start trying again straight away. I was wondering if they gave you any advice on when to start trying? I know google says to wait before you first cycle but is the advice there because the chances of mc again higher if you don’t? My mind is everywhere and made worse by the fact that we have recently found out that my partners brother is expecting. I am obviously delighted for them but it makes our news so much harder to cope with. I am hoping to have a date for the op this week so we can start to healing process.

Morning, really sorry for your news it's heartbreaking.

My opinion is you have made the right choice. God forbid this ever happens to me again I will go straight for the op. In Terms of your body it's pain free. Your mind will take a long time to heal not that I think it ever will.

I was advised by EPU to try again whenever we are ready. She said the line you to wait until your first period as it's easier to date. However if pregnant before then they will go by the date of the op.

I have not wait but I use a good app and have put all my dates on there so I know when we DTD etc.

I asked the question 3 times how long to wait and they all gave me the same answer in 2 different hospitals.

We are just doing what we do and see what happens. My DH brother first baby is due in Jan. I would have been 10 weeks behind them so again I get that pain of happiness and sadness.
