march hugs that must have hurt. TLC tonight for sure

minnie enjoy your well deserved night out! Have one for all of us! Wine

brummie what a painful moment for your friend. Awful.

I'm worrying about sebs, sending hugs wherever and however you are

Bleeding seems to have calmed down here but I'm still crampy so not sure whether to feel relieved or resign self to bad outcome. Head is mashed.

OneStep2015 · 26/06/2015 20:15

Did something stupid this afternoon, with my burst of energy today I thought I'd get the hedge clippers and chop back a small bush in the garden before the storm arrived, kind of winded myself and felt like I'd pulled stomach muscles. Sat inside for a bit, dh in London, panicked and had to call a lovely friend round the corner to sit with me for 20 mind whilst I balled my eyes out and got overcame the panic attack. What a mare, felt like a right plonker. I HATE what mc does to you and your hormones. Got over it and went and picked dh up from station!

MrsC feeling for you, try and chill and distract your mind. I know easier said than done! Xx CakeBrew

Brummiegirl15 · 26/06/2015 20:47

March you should not feel silly at all. You've been through hell - we all have and our journeys are just different. Big hugs to you xxx

Frecklefire · 26/06/2015 20:50

Sorry, i lost my message earlier, longest!** Thanks so much for the very very useful information.

Please please please is there anyone on here whom had bleeding mid month from agnus castus???? Just don't know if i should just throw it away!!!! Some advice, please, anyone???!!!

bootles · 26/06/2015 21:27

Sorry freckle I've never taken agnus castus, but hopefully someone who has will be along soon. I have had spotting mid-cycle a few times though, for no apparent reason.

mrsconfusion sorry you have to wait to find out what's going on, waiting is a bloody nightmare. Hugs.

Oh march that's so sad. I have had similar in the past and it's really really tough. I hope the nursery staff clocked the situation quickly. Little ones are so obsessed with this topic. Hope you are doing something relaxing this evening x

onestep that really is what friends are for. Two steps fowards and one step back and all that, it's quite understandable for you to be having these moments right now. It will get better x

brummie I'm thinking of your friend, what a painful and difficult time for her. Thinking of you too. We are in the same equivalent week - I have 5 different danger zones, and my most recent is week 9. This is week 9. I'm finding it very hard. I really so so much hope this one works out for you, and I would say so far the signs are very good. Crossing everything for you x

sebs thinking of you and hoping you are ok x

Just saw this research about how women with 3+ pregnancy losses are more at risk of depression: womensmentalhealth.org/posts/women-with-recurrent-pregnancy-loss-at-risk-for-depression-and-anxiety/
Thought it was worth sharing, if only in helping people push for better care for themselves in (pursuing) subsequent pregnancies.

OneStep2015 · 26/06/2015 23:24

Thanx for posting the link May

TinyTear · 27/06/2015 06:46

I powered on after the first 3 MCs, but did go for counselling after the 4th...

Justonemoretime · 27/06/2015 07:05

womensmentalhealth.org/posts/tag/depression/ here's the link again as I couldn't get it to work below. Interesting article, and good that its being recognised. Although, not really a surprise that this happens... bears and woods etc...

ThePopAndCry · 27/06/2015 07:29

freckle from what I've read, agnus castus takes a 3 - 6 months to work. Maybe stick with it a bit longer?

Thanks for all your lovely messages for yesterday. X

Marchgirl · 27/06/2015 07:53

I agree about the research paper. I think any of us could have told them that, but glad someone has written a paper to that effect, as some consultants (i'm thinking specifically of mine) refuse to believe anything that's not in the NICE guidelines, so this is a step in the right direction.

Hope yesterday was ok pop and that you had some nice family time with your loved ones x

Marchgirl · 27/06/2015 07:57

Hand holding to everyone in the early stages who are getting through their stressful pg weeks. Sometimes think I'm mad to be trying to join you in that stress!

Sorry, not sure about the agnus castus question minnie. Is it prior to ov or after?

Frecklefire · 27/06/2015 08:25

Hello pop** love, how are you? Xxxx I hope the lakes are good to you xxx

pop and bootles** thanks for your replies on the agnus castus. I dont think i can cope with three months of bleeding, not sure i could actually ttc like this as surely the lining is coming away if bleeding?!!! It must be a really powerful herb and my periods are tegular, just wanted to shorten folicular phase by a few days! Think i'm going to stick to accupuncture instead...

Thornfield38 · 27/06/2015 08:35

Morning ladies, have been deep in exam marking this week so will have a good catch up later - hope you are all good.

Can't believe I'm writing this, but tested this morning at 11dpo and got a faint but unmistakable BFP Shock In total shock as I'm only 2 cycles after last mc and it took me a year to get pregnant each of the first 2 times. Looks like the acupuncture and/or extra supplements may have helped after all!

It is very early days. Currently hoping for the best but expecting the worst - did not get to 6 weeks with last pregnancies so a stressful few weeks coming up I think. Just hoping to get to Tuesday (AF due date) at the moment.

Justonemoretime · 27/06/2015 09:08

Well done, Thorn! Whispered congratulations to you. Grin Grin

BumbleBee0 · 27/06/2015 09:09

thorn (congrats)Smile hope this one works out for you, fingers crossed x

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 27/06/2015 09:48

Congrats Thorn, crossing everything for you.

Freckle, I've never used Agnus Castus but can see your concern about lining possibly disentegrating early.

Sebs, I hope everything is ok.

MrsC, I had bleeding twice in first pregnancy with DS. Fresh and bright. And it was ok, so keeping fingers crossed for you.

I wouldn't say I've had depression due to 4 miscarriages but think it's easier because I've already got DCs. But as an anxious person it's definitely made me worse.

And it's also affected me in different -and unexpected - ways. I've only ever had one bad scan, because previous three miscarriages I just waited to see what happened. I had to take my son for a scan on his kidneys recently and when the sonographer started I looked up at the screen and felt a sudden rush of excitement, then realised why and felt overwhelmed and panicky and almost burst into tears. I'd been expecting to see a baby on the screen. It was a very odd experience and I just about managed to hold it together, but was caught off guard.

fififolle · 27/06/2015 09:55

Congratulations Thorn!

OneStep2015 · 27/06/2015 10:13

Congratulations and fingers crossed for you Thorn x

inamaymaybewrong · 27/06/2015 10:21

Congratulations Thorn! Thinking of you. Nervous times. Keep the acupuncture up. It's good for relaxation as much as anything.

longestlurkerever · 27/06/2015 10:22

I didn't experience bleeding with agnus castus freckle. I did used to get mid cycle bleeding as a teenager. it was like a mini period 3 weeks into my 6 week cycle. I never did find out why, then went on the pill for years.when I came off it the 6 week cycle returned but not the. 3 week bleeding.

congratulations. thorn. everything crossed for you. I hope it's a good sign that you got a bit quicker. it was for me.

Marchgirl · 27/06/2015 10:34

Congratulations thorn! Hoping this is your sticky bean.

Sorry minnie, i meant freckle about the agnus castus

Hope you're ok sebs

Does anyone take phellinus linteus (mesima)? Its a medicinal mushroom that modulates immune response. I think I'm going to start taking it. It can reduce nk cell and cytokine levels. Anyone any experience taking it?

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 27/06/2015 11:01

I've never heard of mesima March.

bakingtins · 27/06/2015 11:51

Congratulations thorn

Never heard of mesima, march goes off to google it where did you hear about it?

bakingtins · 27/06/2015 12:00

Can't find any research on it, only a lot of unsubstantiated claims, including that it increases NK cell activity therefore curing cancer. Would not touch with somebody else's bargepole.
