longest I have many distractions, and far too much to do, but I think its just adding to my anxiety. Can't win. School situation is the same for DS in September. Hopefully (please let it work out!) I'll be childminding by then and not working where I am now. Good luck for tomorrow! I am very excited for you and will be checking for updates!

twilight it sounds like things are moving forward for you at last - being stuck waiting on results for so long must have been tough. On top of all the other tough.

brummie I think you are thinking of boozle80 not having long to go. I'm only 6+4 and don't yet if this one is even viable. Sorry you're finding the progesterone difficult, yes swap entrances and see if it helps.

mrsd thinking of you. How long until your next scan?

Thanks for folic acid replies. My bmi is low but I think an extra folic acid at night may be order anyway.

Annie so sorry that you find yourself here, and for your losses. Frankly I think your consultant sounds a bit rubbish. I have had 2 MC's at home, and 3 erpc's, and each was right for me in each situation. However a heavy period the ones at home were not. You'll be fine, but I do understand the fear. I disagree with your consultant who said there was no point in getting testing done on the embryo/baby - I think it would be helpful information. If the chromosomes are ok, then the problem isn't necessarily age.

Argh got to sleep...sorry to those I have probably missed..

bootles · 03/06/2015 23:47

longest good luck again!!

Brummiegirl15 · 04/06/2015 06:51

Aaarrggh sorry Bootles yes in my head I did mean Boozle then wrote Bootles

Good luck longest!!

girliesaints · 04/06/2015 07:15

Good luck longest x

Annie welcome and sorry for your latest loss. I am +6 days after latest eprc and my boobs and tummy have only just realised today I'm no longer pregnant. They certainly are traitors! I am very annoyed on your behalf that the doctor described a natural MC as a heavy period. I hope it happens quickly and painless as possibly, once dh is home x

Marchgirl · 04/06/2015 07:18

Had virtually no Internet for 2 days but got a little spot now, so just popped on to say good luck longest, can't wait to hear your news!
Also have to say welcome annie, sounds like your consultant is fobbing you of with the age line.Angry If you have had two chromosomally normal embryos then there's a good chance is not age that is the problem at all. All my mc have been at home and apart from the one at 5wks they were not anything like a period. If you decided you want the erpc then don't feel pushed into the non surgical option. I would have erpc if it ever happened again to me,but competed understand your hesitance given how rubbish they sound. Whatever you decide, i hope you are getting lots of support IRL and that we can help here too x

Flen · 04/06/2015 07:23

bootles I have been taking metafolin (www.amazon.co.uk/Solgar-Folate-Metafolin-800-tablets/dp/B001LR2RVQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433398612&sr=8-1&keywords=folate) with methyl B12 (www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0013OQGO6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1433398649&sr=8-2&keywords=b12) and since doing so my insomnia has vanished completely! I think I might be one of those mthfr people, although I've never been tested. In any case, metafolin is meant to be a more easily absorbable form of folic acid (which might be what is aimed for when they prescribe a higher dose - just getting more into your system). The B12 also helps absorption.

annie welcome and so sorry to hear what you've been through.

Thanks for all the lovely AF commiserations. Weirdly I always feel renewed optimism once she actually arrives, it's the negative test that is gut-wrenching... Feeling hopeful that not taking prog from 7dpo is going to help and maybe this will be our month.

bootles · 04/06/2015 07:26

Annie I feel a bit bad for saying your doctor is a bit rubbish. Its not helpful of me to cast doubt on him, and he may well know what he is doing in other areas, just not have a great bedside manner.

longest thinking of you lady! Xx

bootles · 04/06/2015 07:33

But also agree you shouldn't be fobbed off on age/surgical options!

Thanks flen, I'll check out the link. Well its great that you are sleeping better, can you get tested for MTHFR do you think?

Minnie74 · 04/06/2015 07:44

Good luck longest!

Flen · 04/06/2015 07:45

bootles I think you can, sure I found a site that said how, but right now I am not sure I can face any more testing! Plus, from what I've read, the test isn't a definite thing and lots of people seem to say to try taking the methylfolate supplements to see if it makes a difference.

barkingtreefrog · 04/06/2015 07:54

MrsC thanks for asking about my dad. He got worse earlier in the week, still on the oxygen, chest infection, anaemia, low blood pressure... But last night he was moved out of bed into a chair for the first time and apparently looked brighter Smile.

Annie so sorry for your loss, and that you're having to face it alone right now Sad. Can I ask why you went for Ivf if you managed to conceive naturally? Having done iui and ivf myself it's not something I'd ever want to do unless I had to!!

Such a beautiful day here. DH and I are making plans to save up for a year and then quit our jobs and go travelling from next August. Life is too short.

bootles · 04/06/2015 08:03

Yes I see your point flen, and under Coventry you'd be on heparin anyway and are already taking metafolin which I gather would be the treatment anyway - (?) at least that or high dose folic acid.

brummie no worries- the name thing is confusing and I know what you meant! Yes the uncertainty is aaarrrggghhh. One day/hour at a time.

girliesaints · 04/06/2015 08:05

Barking, glad to hear your dad is sounding better. Love the idea of your trip, sounds so positive. Does that mean you won't be having another cycle or is it a sod it plan?

bootles · 04/06/2015 08:08

Great plan barking. I meant to say yesterday, sorry the radio interview upset you. I still have hope for you. I hope your dad continues to improve and is out of hospital as soon as possible. Where would you go travelling? I did a lot in my 20's/30's, and am so glad I did.

mrsdiddlydoo · 04/06/2015 08:20

Thinking of you today longest x

tannyLoo · 04/06/2015 09:05

cloudjumper · 04/06/2015 09:08

Good luck, longest! Not long until you meet your baby!

Hi Annie, glad you have found us here! Lots of support and advice on this thread.

Barking, glad you dad is better! Your travelling plans sound great, where would you go?

Not much new here, chasing forms, prescriptions, appointments, all very annoying. Off to France on Saturday in a week, can't wait...

Jady77 · 04/06/2015 10:00

Good luck today Longest!

Glad you've found us Annie. So sorry for your losses. I'm another pom pom waver for Coventry.

Sounds like you're having a frustrating time Cloud. Enjoy your holiday! DP is meant to be sorting his passport out so we can book one soon. So need a holiday.

Waves everyone else.

Brummiegirl15 · 04/06/2015 10:30

Good luck today (and possibly, although hopefully not tomorrow!), Longest. Hope your induction is swift! You'll be cuddling Shortest very soon. xx

Frecklefire · 04/06/2015 10:51

Hi there Annie, i really feel for you and i think that doctor is just thinking of expenses. I would have soooo loved for you to turn around and say "ahh...when did you last miscarry then?" prat. This lot are wonferful - i might have gone mad in feb wirh my 3rd if it wasn't for this thread. I hope you find it the same x.

What is mtherfer?????

Pop** that research you attached has me totally engrosed, and a bit depressed. So, being fat i have a 67% risk of mc (54% of women who rmc are obese). Because i am 40 i have a 162%-400% increased risk of mc. Having a cycle of 32 days increases the risk by 100% and having a cycle of 32 days increases my risk by 200%. Oh yes...and my dh age increases my risk by 88%. Those are not good odds (despite having ds less than 2 years ago).

Sacha, what are they going to give you to bring ov forward? Interesting that so much focus is on the luteal phase usually, rather than the folicular. Vit B6 can work well apparently, as with agnus castus - which i was incorrectly assuming was just for short cycles and light periods - i think it regulates overall.

So, reading all the stuff pop** put on here and sasha's apt details i think that if af comes at the end of this cycle a trip to holland and barrat is in order! My l.p is 14 days usually, but cycle is a bit long at 32 days due to not ovulating to 18-21 days, which by the sounds of it i need to try to shorten to 16 at the longest. So i need to get me some of that there agnus castus and vit b6, and i might br getting some of brummie's cough mixture for good measure!

Frecklefire · 04/06/2015 10:54

Oh and Longest longest longest!!! Very excited! E x

sebsmummy1 · 04/06/2015 11:02

Freckle those stats are hilariously depressing lol. To be honest it's one of the reasons I thought 'fuck the whole thing' I was sick of feeling like I was broken all the time.

Longest hoping we see shortest very soon darling xx

longestlurkerever · 04/06/2015 11:31

Thanks everyone! Am here and so far I have my own room in a shiny new ward and it's very peaceful so am pleased. Being monitored atm. Will start induction soon. Fx something happens soon.

Welcome Annie. So sorry for what you're going through. You have come to the right place for warmth and support and lots of info.x
