Marchgirl · 30/05/2015 07:34

Good luck today cloud. Got everything crossed for good news.

flen, how are you doing? When is test day? Hope you're ok x

girliesaints · 30/05/2015 07:48

Good luck Cloud x

Love the rhyme Baking!

Whispers congrats loopy x

bootles · 30/05/2015 07:49

Good news loopy ! Remind me if you are on any meds etc this time? The fear of a chemical pg is the first hurdle to face - I combat it with sensitive ic tests, and do alot of poas.

brummie I think regular poas can be reassuring in the first 10 days or so. Every time for me, with the ic, the line is faint and darkens very slowly. I have always found it helpful, but once every other day is probably best.

girliesaints · 30/05/2015 07:49

Welcome Lauren. Sorry you find yourself here. The ladies on here really are the best for support and knowledge x

bootles · 30/05/2015 07:59

march you are far from worthless. You are fab. Always so supportive, informative, and think of things like the benefit of the scratch for twilight, which is a very good point. I am sure in RL you are also fab.

Prof B could write you a private prescription, and you would take it to a chemist and pay the full cost of the medication. I don't know how much it would be but I don't think it would break the bank.

If it pisses off the gp thats too bad - you are on a plan from an NHS consultant, and even if they refuse to prescribe it, they should be supporting you.

I do think if you have a different gp you can see in the same practice its worth a try. I have found more who are happy to prescribe it than those who have doubts. Its a drug that has been used for donkeys years including in pg women who require it for other things, eg asthma. Hope you find a helpful one.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 30/05/2015 08:02

Bootles I had no medication for first 3 mc's. Last one I took progesterone from BFP and baby aspirin and it was my earliest loss. This time I've got the benefit of the hysteroscopy, and removal of adhesions, and have been chopping up my 400mg progesterone and taking half in morning half at night since 7dpo (not told consultant this lol) and am meant to be having clexane until 39 weeks when they would do elcs, so need to sort re clexane with Mr Watts when I see him on Monday afternoon. Am just hoping its a sticky one and it doesn't suddenly stop implanting/growing.

Lovemylittlebear · 30/05/2015 08:24

if anyone is interested the preds were quite cheap i think about 7 quid for a month (which us funny coz when my dog was on them it cost 100 quid a month. cleaxane is breaking the bank at about 5 pound per injection. sorry to hear your news lauren x

Sunandrainbow · 30/05/2015 08:31

Hmmm - the first prescription I had for pred was private and cost me about £45 to get from Boots! After reading littlebears post am thinking I was ripped off!!!!!

Lovemylittlebear · 30/05/2015 08:32

im only on 5mg per day so maybe its different doses? prog cost me sbout 40 i think...it was the clexane that is ruining us each month lol. x

cloudjumper · 30/05/2015 08:34

Congrats, loopy! Fingers crossed this is your sticky bean!

Thanks for your warm thoughts, ladies. Scan is at 10.30am, and I'm getting a tad nervous...Confused

Lovemylittlebear · 30/05/2015 08:35

gosh hope i got it right now...i spent 200 quid the first month and that was 400mg pessaries cyclogest about 40 quid and clexane i think was about 150 so makes the preds about 7-10 pounds. could have it wrong though. x

Lovemylittlebear · 30/05/2015 08:35

good luck cloud x

Sunandrainbow · 30/05/2015 08:38

march - you might find if you get a private prescription first off and then go to your GP when you need more and just show them the packaging and what you are already taking that they are more happy to prescribe them as its a bit of a done deal by that point as you can't simply stop pred overnight but would have to taper etc. That was my experience with the GP anyway. x

Brummiegirl15 · 30/05/2015 08:39

Hah Loopy that ace!!! Double date booked for Worcester in Feb Grin

I'm seeing Mr W in 2 weeks so it's great you are seeing him Monday and he can sort your clexane. I think the 200mg was the thing to do.

We'll both be rocking up saying "hi, er pregnant again!"

Fingers crossed it keeps growing

Lauren welcome and so sorry you find yourself here

Loving the photo thread . I just feel all warm and lovely seeing baby pics from survivors of the thread - it's scan pics I can't cope with

OP posts:
bakingtins · 30/05/2015 08:40

Good luck cloud

congrats loopy hope this is your rainbow.

Erica21 · 30/05/2015 08:44

Good luck cloud x

tannyLoo · 30/05/2015 08:51

I was going to say the same thing. Pred I think is pretty cheap but progesterone and heparin really not.

I feel bad because I promised my old stock to people and then never got round to posting it Sad .

If anyone is interested in meds for the Coventry protocol, I will endeavour to actually send them this time. March I have some pred left over if that helps at all. I also have some 400 mg progesterone and clexane injections if anyone is in need. I know if I take them to the pharmacy they will dispose of them but my save the NHS head wants to ensure they get used!

Brummiegirl15 · 30/05/2015 08:52

Good luck Cloud we'll be thinking of you xx

tannyLoo · 30/05/2015 08:54

Oh, and Loopy, congratulations on BFP! Really crossing fingers for you that this is the one!

Sunandrainbow · 30/05/2015 09:03

cloud - keeping everything crossed for your scan. x

Sunandrainbow · 30/05/2015 09:04

Did I miss a bfp?! Whispered congrats loopy!

twilightstruggle · 30/05/2015 09:04

March - you are right, I did not want to hear that! However, it is a good point. What are the benefits of the scratch? Is it that it makes an egg more likely to implant or that it makes the uterus lining a tad more discerning about what it implants?

Cloud - good luck today. Thinking of you and hand holding.

Tiny etc - can't view pics as on my phone. Will look when I manage to haul myself out of bed and get to the computer. Glad that thread has been created. Gives the rest of us that bit of extra hope.

Loopy - oooo, how exciting terrifying beyond belief Wishing you a nice relaxed nine months.

Jady77 · 30/05/2015 09:20

Congrats Loopy! Does that make 18 or 19?

Welcome Lauren, but sorry you find yourself here.

Good luck this morning Cloud, everything crossed for you.

March I know exactly what you mean about contributing to conversations, I think I'm getting bored of myself! But head just doesn't want to think about other stuff. Def think you should talk about mc though, I refuse to be hushed on the subject!
