Hang in there mrsd

sasha i've been through all of that upset with the age gap too. Now DS is 4 I have let go of !y dream (3 children under 4) and reconciled myself to an age gap of 5-10 years! Life won't look like I hoped it would be, but it will be fabulous all the same. I hope your appointment goes well.

Update to my stats: no longer pg and I have notched up a grand total of 6 MCs.

I'm thinking of changing my name. It came from a dark place, 5 miscarriages...andcounting but now I think I should go for a name that indicates that I want more babies not more miscarriages! Brace yourselves.

Jady when I had my Cov appointment I was told they were more than happy to do the location scan for me for the heparin.

I'm one of the lucky few that Cov is really easy to get to. Ironically it's actually closer to my work than my own EPAU at Worcester. But because heparin is part of the Worcester protocol I will go there.

Still not got results!!!!! Grrr

ExtraBlessings · 28/04/2015 11:46

I'm back! It's me, the artist formerly known as counting!

ExtraBlessings · 28/04/2015 11:50

My new name is from a story I heard of a twin who popped out unexpectedly and was named Extra Blessings.

Sunandrainbow · 28/04/2015 11:54

blessings - hope the new name brings you just that. x

longestlurkerever · 28/04/2015 11:54

Thanks for the new thread. My stats are me 34, dh 35. Dd born Aug 11. Ttc since March 13. Chm pg and 2 x mmc of early gestation. Tests at St Mary's normal apart from pcos diagnosis. Took agnus castus and conceived first cycle. Progesterone and extra folic acid from 8 weeks when nhs dr took a different view to mr rai, who I saw privately. Now 35 weeks pregnant. All good apart from gestational diabetes. Feeling better on low gi diet and am wondering if it would have helped with pcos when ttc.

Good luck with the job application jady.

Baking - thanks for the Faith update. I was thinking of her yesterday and wondering how she was doing. So glad she has been fit-free for so long. The waiting game must be so hard though. Hugs.

Hope this thread continues the lucky wave and sees lots more sticky beans.

On the age gap debate, there are 4.5 years between each of me and my sisters (sorry about the grammar there), 9 years between me and my youngest sister. We are all very close. Having seen my sister cope with her two with a 2 and a half year age gap, and watch it almost drive her to the point of exhaustion and despair, I have to say I think our parents had the right idea. Mind you, at my age, if we have a second (not that I'm counting my chicken yet), we may have to think about sooner rather than later. Looks like extremely hard work, though.

ExtraBlessings · 28/04/2015 12:03

Excellent point just. Copious infants in quick succession could well have finished me off!

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 12:03

Oddly enough, on the labour ward, a new baby has just come in to my section (for the still pg people). This makes me slightly uncomfortable, and also like I might be both slightly unhinged, and possibly a not very nice person... hmmm Hmm

ExtraBlessings · 28/04/2015 12:04

Thank you sun

ExtraBlessings · 28/04/2015 12:08

Not unhinged just. Only in a very different place.

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 12:10

I have only just got used to pg women... better get used to babies... I have -8 weeks!!!Shock

AllThereIs · 28/04/2015 12:11

Normal, for your situation, I would say just.

I find myself glowering at pregnant woman, and woman with small babies like a right nasty cow. I know it is just jealousy and is natural but it makes me not like myself very much.

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 12:13

I think its because I've had to go though my full history again twice this morning, and been starved (although got lunch now), and generally being hormonal Blush

Jady77 · 28/04/2015 12:20

That's really reassuring Brummie. It's a bit of a trek for me, but probably easier than trying to convince an epu to do it when not under any consultant.

Bus this morning was not a good idea, felt so sick! Stomach didn't shout luckily although it's started up now I've eaten something.

Like the new name Blessings

Hope those results come through soon Brummie. Will be 4 weeks for me Thu. Will wait until line is stronger before I contact them I think.

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 28/04/2015 12:48

ExtraBlessings, love the new name.

Just, I was really annoyed to end up waiting in the EPAU after my symptoms had stopped, with a couple with a baby in a pushchair.
If it was me I would have made DH wait outside with my kids so as not to upset anyone else. I went to several appointments on my own while my mum / DH stayed at home with kids because I didn't want to upset other people in RMC.

But maybe unless you've been through several miscarriages you don't think like that.

sebsmummy1 · 28/04/2015 12:50

Sasha that sounds like the perfect appnt. That's exactly what I would have loved to have had said to me after MC 1.

IFinishedTheBiscuits · 28/04/2015 12:55

March, and Me2?

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 12:55

To be fair, this hospital has been pretty good at separating people out, but I guess at this late stage they just need to use the beds they've got. Its just making me realise that I still have some emotional issues to face up to... Confused Hmm

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 12:56

Glad you had such a positive appointment, Sasha Smile

Marchgirl · 28/04/2015 13:03

Glad you had a positive experience and felt listened to sasha. It makes such a difference doesn't it.
Only thing I'd say is that I'd be slightly wary of the clomid. Others on here will be able to tell you more, but my understanding is that it is a pretty strong follicle stimulating drug that's taken for fertility issues. (Sorry, i can't remember if you said you had fertility problems, perhaps that's why he suggested it). I've never heard it being used for mc. I think it can lead to multiple births and that they often scan on clomid cycles to avoid this. Have they offered that? I could easily be wrong though. Sure someone wiser than me will be along shortly.

Jady77 · 28/04/2015 13:04

Really glad you feel so positive from your appointment Sasha, makes the world of difference to feel heard.

EPAC I've been to does scans for everyone so had lots of pregnant women as well as more elderly folk. Then was wheeled past waiting room of pregnant lady on way to erpc! Hope they let you out soon though Just. I ran into 2 people I knew and had to explain myself for why I was there!

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 13:07

I know someone who had clomid for mc, after they'd had 2, because of long cycles. Not sure of the finer details, but she got her baby on that treatment.
