Oh Jady I see something, hope hope hope...

Another progesterone question ladies, have had the most awful diarrhoea 2 days out of 5 taking it, anyone else had? On the leaflet it says to talk to your doctor if you get it, don't know whether to talk to my GP or Prof Brosens. What do you think?

Jady77 · 28/04/2015 07:19

Thanks all. I'm quite excitable this morning with an undertone of anxiety. Positive mental attitude and all that.

I'm on progesterone Sasha. Still waiting for Coventry results and letter. Heparin wasn't actually mentioned to me during initial consult but am expecting it to be recommended as part of standard Coventry protocol. Previous losses have been at 6 weeks though so possibly not relevant for me.

Jady77 · 28/04/2015 07:21

Flen my stomach has sounded like a monster growling along with a LOT of wind and very loose bowels since Sat afternoon

Flen · 28/04/2015 07:25

Jady I'm worried because getting SO much cramping with it. What dpo are you today?

Jady77 · 28/04/2015 07:33

9dpo I believe. I'm hopeful for you Flen. Did you say you're holding out til Friday?

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 07:35

Jady, whispered congratulations. RE heparin, my first two losses were both at 6-7 weeks (mmcs) and so I really pushed to get the location scan before then and got it at 5.4, and started the heparin then. I know Tanny had her's even earlier, something like 4.3. Good luck. x

Flen · 28/04/2015 07:37

jady that is my aim. I'm 11 dpo today. This is the longest I've held out! Just really want the result to be definitive and not confusing... Think I might call GP today. Just in case.

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 07:40

Good luck and congratulations to Erica and Girlie, too.

When I'm home I'll try to find the article I read from which I described the implantation process. I read it ages ago and so I hope I got the gist of it last over reasonably accurately night.
Got my glucose tolerance test this morning. Hope the drink isn't too vile and it rules out gd. Hopefully I'll be allowed home later today.

Minnie74 · 28/04/2015 07:42

Yep I see a line too- congrats jady
Fingers crossed for you too flen

twilightstruggle · 28/04/2015 07:55

Hey folks. Hope you're all well as can be.
Congrats to the new bfps. Fingers crossed for happy, healthy pregnancies.
MrsD - thinking of you and hoping everything settles.

Can someone add my details to the stats thread as I'm on my phone.

Twilight struggle. Ttc #1 since November 2012. 5 mc.

I'm on my way to St Mary's at the mo to get the results of the tests that were done on mc5. Terrified for some reason even though I'm predicting it was a healthy baby. I've also placed money on Duchess Kate joining me there at some point (as that would be fairly typical) but so far this doesn't seem to be happening!

Justonemoretime · 28/04/2015 08:04

Sebs, re becoming too selective, I think this happened to me at first so I was advised to only take progesterone only from bfp in the end, not from cd21. To be honest, I think I was only borderline hyper fertile in the first place. In the end it took me 7 months post Coventry to fall pg, which felt like an age and I was booked for an hsg etc, being convinced I had become infertile etc. Got my bfp a couple of fays before the hsg and had to cancel it. TBH, my gut feeling is that the delay post Coventry was partly psychological; I was just so afraid of another mc, nothing was happening. I was in self preservation mode. I had cognitive hypnotherapy, which I think really helped me be a bit kinder to myself.
Anyway, I'm rambling. My point is, yes, conceiving may take longer, but they will fine tune and review your plan on a 3 monthly basis over email and phone as needed. And a bit of headspace is better than another early loss, as frustrating as it is at the time.

Monten · 28/04/2015 08:35

Thinking about you mrsd and hope the spotting has stopped.

I can't see pictures but sounds like a line, congrats jady!

sebs I only realised that a few months ago and it made me feel better too. I was beating myself up for 'missing' the egg when in fact you might have caught it just fine but your body did what it was supposed to do (for once). Doesn't allay concerns about dodgy old eggs tho.

So I'm not supposed to be ttc-ing as getting married in a month so decided not to. BUT that's easier said than done. I've been feeling really unwell for a few days so havent been dtd-ing. Accirding to Ovia app I am just entering fertile phase. But I had a temp rise this morning. So it looks like the universe has taken that decision out of my hands! Anyone else's app get it wrong? If my temps the last three months are correct it looks like my luteal phase is 16 days. Which could explain why I'm not getting pregnant, I'm timing it all wrong Confused

Me2Me2 · 28/04/2015 08:58

Yes monten I think the FF app got my ov wrong last month. I had low temps, then 3 days of slight raise, then up a bit more. Opk turned positive on 3rd slight raise day but ff put ov 3 days before.
If you're feeling rubbish maybe that's putting your temp up?

mrsdiddlydoo · 28/04/2015 09:06

jady oooo!!! Fingers crossed its a keeper.

Well the spotting hasn't got worse but its still there with light period pains. I'm still taking the progesterone which I guess will delay things slightly. Just hoping to get home today without making a mess in the car. Being practical. One step at a time. Couldn't tell my parents I've started spotting. Sods law is I've my first professional training course tomorrow in London since 2013 before ds and a busy BH weekend planned. Don't really know what to expect with a mc at 6 wks as I've only mc later before. Would a trip to London be do able if it came to that? I'm hoping that we get home before my epu closes so I can call them to quiz them on whether they would test any tissue and if they can give me a sterile pot. And if not can i pay them to do it. How is it this is what I'm thinking about. Madness!! That and blighted ovums. Lol. Will take 5 hours to drive home plus a stop off at friends in the Midlands on route. Wish me luck!

Re the progesterone... It hasn't given me diahorrea but I've sometimes had terrible wind and the occasional wet fart! Stomach's also looking like a pin cushion now...

Marchgirl · 28/04/2015 09:09

Thank you for the post last night just, you have described the process as I understood it perfectly. I've just not been as good at explaining it as you! That's what i was trying to convey when i was saying Coventry wasn't a waste of time just because you've had a loss with a chromosomal issue. A lining that's not properly prepared will not know the difference between good and bad, so may implant either, and additionally it can cause implantation issues with good eggs, so the protective barrier that's supposed to stop the rejection signals getting through to the brain and stop the immune cells from attacking the foetus may not be properly developed, whereas a properly prepared lining will nurture eggs that have a fighting chance and reject sub standard ones. The bit about every egg being a bit imperfect but the lining sorting it out is the key i think.
Sorry your appointment wasn't as definitive as it could have been minnie. I agree with the others that i don't think your age is totally the issue here. It's an easy one for them to use as an excuse, as there's basically nothing you can say about it. Very closed minded of her imo. I think Coventry would be worthwhile for you and you're so close to it that I think it's worth the extra month waiting. Plus just generally feeling listened to rather than dismissed and like you have a good plan is worth its weight in gold

girliesaints · 28/04/2015 09:12

Monten, have to say I'm not a fan of. Using the opk tests. Never used them until now (requirement of Response trial) and it wore me out with the constant testing and disappointment of not getting the all important smiley. I've always used a fertility app in the past and used it alongside the opk tests this time and it predicted the exact same day as the smiley appeared.

Mrsd, you're sounding very practical & much more than I would at this stage. Hope journey home goes ok x

Erica21 · 28/04/2015 09:34

Congrats Jady and Girlie

Sasha I'm a bit naive with the Coventry stuff but reading what you're all going through... I'm not on prog or hep, just taking low dose aspirin as I had a big hematoma in last preg before the MC. They said it was an implantation bleed, but I had two pos hb scans before a really sharp pain one evening, followed by a neg scan two days later.
Meant to say Sasha that I know it will never be something I could have controlled but the age gap thing has massively got me down... Now I've accepted 3.5 yrs if this bean sticks around, and looking at all the positives Smile xx

Erica21 · 28/04/2015 09:39

Fingers crossed for you flen I have to say I'm more aware of cramping and other signs like nausea much earlier than I did before but I think I'm just slightly neurotic now and reading in to everything Confused x

Marchgirl · 28/04/2015 09:48

My app (s) get it wrong all the time. I find myself fudging the temps in ff to just make it say the right ov day! I've tried a few of them and they all have weaknesses. I like the charting in ff but it's set up to be too reliant on temp rises and as I'm a slow riser it always says I ov later than I did. I tend to use it to just record the data and do my own interpretation. With ovuview you can tell it what day you ov to override the automatic guessing if it's got it wrong, which is quite good if you are able to tell from your other symptoms like ov pain

MrsD you did make me laugh with your wet farts!!!! I really hope the spotting is nothing.

Jady it's a squinter but I think I can defo see something!

Whispered congrats. Right little wave of BFP's!!! Keeping everything crossed that I'm next month

Boozle80 · 28/04/2015 11:04

How bizarre, my last post didn't post :). Fingers crossed this is your lucky thread Monten, I'm pretty sure it's an unwritten rule that if you're the last to post on the previous thread you get a massive BFP in this one!
My stats: Boozle: 34, 1NMC, 2x MMC, pg

Boozle80 · 28/04/2015 11:14

Jady I can see a line! Whoop, whoop :).
I definitely had the shits something chronic when I was on progesterone. It was a nightmare - cleared up when I stopped taking it, wet farts always an issue with slight nervousness of follow through... Nice...

Sunandrainbow · 28/04/2015 11:23

jady - whispered congrats hun x

Yep - had squits too on progesterone, although (without wishing to reopen the debate Grin), only once I started putting it up the bum.

Jady77 · 28/04/2015 11:25

Oh dear, on my way home from job interview laughing at wet farts. I must admit I did have an instance yesterday of having to change my knickers!

Following what you've said Just I think I'm just going to beg Coventry to let me go up there for location scan and heparin. Isn't that what you did Diddly? What happened with the pharmacy closing before end of appointment?
