Yay! Great news on the follicle and lining front barking. Sounds like things are 'ripening' Grin nicely!

Hi Monten, RE: Asherman's and hysteroscopies, when I had mine (I've had two), they were done by the lead consultants and not the registrar, so I felt OK with that. They explained that they would go in intending to fix what they found. With the first one, she felt that she couldn't fix it (it was a massive blood clot that was attached to the wall) and so she left it and referred me on to UCLH for further expert/specialist assessment (in the end they put me on HRT to reduce it, and it worked, no further surgery needed at that time). The second time I had one it was done by prof Regan at st Mary's so I felt confident that they would do a good job. It turned out to be a septum, not Ashermans, and it was removed and two coils put in for a month, and a month of HRT. I think that everything was so messed up and infected and swollen with the first one that they couldn't see the septum. The septum (at the point I had my first three ERPCs) was undiagnosed, so that's why I kept ending up with problems with infections and retained products. For my 4th ERPC I insisted that it was done by the consultant using ultrasound guidance, and it was a textbook procedure with AF 28 days later.
So, I reckon you're OK if its a consultant doing it. If (god forbid) I should ever need another ERPC, I would insist that it be done by someone high up the pecking order with ultrasound. I wouldn't stand for a 'blind' procedure again (although, for the very vast majority of people, these are fine - it was the bloody septum that caused half the problems). Hope that helps? Good luck!

Well done on your luscious lining and flourishing follicles, Barking?

Waves to everyone :)

Just got back from the mw appointment, which myself and miniJust have passed with flying colours. Phew! Thanks for all your well wishes. :)

Justonemoretime · 17/03/2015 16:21

No need for that ?, Barking :) Not sure where it came from!

Flower29 · 17/03/2015 16:22

Well done just and tinyjust! Smile

sebsmummy1 · 17/03/2015 16:42

Monten · 17/03/2015 16:44

Awesome news just!! Are you feeling minijust kicking about lots these days? That must be so amazing. Is minijust pink or blue or yellow, I can't remember.

Thanks so much for that explanation, really really helpful. Poor you - you have had a bloody awful time of it. When I read that it makes me feel silly for causing a fuss. Am sure hoping hoping hoping I am fine, I just can't understand the very light periods.

Anyway - I got a text a couple of hours ago to cancel my appointment! 'Unforeseen circumstances'. Next available appointment 15th April. Fuckers.

Woo hoo barking check you out with your lovely lining!! That's awesome, so pleased for you Grin Grin Grin

Justonemoretime · 17/03/2015 16:51

Thanks Grin yes, minijust is very active and its amazing (gush - sorry BlushGrin ). Minijust's sex is as yet unknown, but we've been warned we might not get a choice about finding out at the 32 week scan, as apparently its all there to see, even to the untrained eye, by then!
That's a bugger about your rescheduled appointment, Monten. Hope they get you sorted soon with no more waiting after that.

Justonemoretime · 17/03/2015 16:54

Also, never feel silly, we're all facing our own fears and I'm happy to offer any answers/info I can. Hopefully my current condition is an encouragement that multiple surgical procedures doesn't necessarily lead to infertility.

girliesaints · 17/03/2015 17:27

Fab news Just. At the 32 wk scan with DD I couldn't make anything out as everything was squashed. That said I still struggled when she was actually born due to the drugs I had taken and not wearing my glasses. I remember shouting out "girl or boy bits" to DH much to the amusement to the doctors and Mw!

longestlurkerever · 17/03/2015 17:29

Great news barking and just! xx

Flen · 17/03/2015 17:59

just yay yay yay! Gush all you want, we all know how much it means.

barking I feel absurdly proud of your flourishing follicles.

Marchgirl · 17/03/2015 18:14

Lovely to hear just, we're all delighted that things are going so well. Gives us all hope

Amazing follicles and lining news barking! Grin That sounds really positive. Sorry, I'm total dummy as far as this goes, do they transfer two eggs if there are two good 'uns that are fertilised? (so is there a chance of twins?)

sebsmummy1 · 17/03/2015 19:04

Girls, can I run seething past you please as it's only just come to me.

Throughout the 11 weeks I was pregnant with my last failed pregnancy I was constantly freezing cold, couldn't get warm at all. Is that consistent with anything do you think? Like is it weird or normal, should I mention it to the RMC people if I ever see them? Did anyone else have the same? I just don't remember getting it with my sons pregnancy and yet I also fell in Winter with him.

sebsmummy1 · 17/03/2015 19:04
  • run something passed you please
Sunandrainbow · 17/03/2015 19:22

sebs - with mc1 I was freezing all the time too. Didn't happen with the other two though, despite mc3 also being winter. Think I remember googling it as was expecting to feel hot and other people had also had the same.

just - gush away. So pleased for you.

Justonemoretime · 17/03/2015 19:28

Sebs, no harm in mentioning it, but I'd probably put it down to being winter etc. It has been very cold until only a couple of weeks ago. My understanding is that your body will regulate your core to maintain the baby's temperature in the early stages, so you'd have to really overheat or over cool to cause a problem, and overheating is more of a risk. Interested to hear what they say if you do ask, though. x

barkingtreefrog · 17/03/2015 20:01

march if more than one fertilises and they are good quality embryos they will just transfer one and freeze any other/s, as the additional risks of a multiple pregnancy are not worth it. If we get less than perfect eggs they will put two in, in the hope that one of them might survive.

Justonemoretime · 17/03/2015 20:11

Barking, I know someone who had both her daughters off the same cycle of ivf, two years apart. The girls were fertilised at the same time and implanted 2 years apart. Wishing you the same success. xx

TinyTear · 17/03/2015 20:16

I.was.cold in successful pregnancies... Just another of those things...

Flower29 · 17/03/2015 20:20

sebs I have felt cold (rather than the usual hot symptoms) in all 3 of my pregnancies (so DS and 2 mcs). And I was pg with mc1 through the summer so the weather didn't effect me, was still cold. I think with DS it had stopped by the half way point so more of a first 1st trimester thing for me. I did think it was odd feeling so cold when one if the usual symptoms is to feel hot.
I have got poor circulation tho (and that Raynaud's) and sm generally nesh so just assumed it was me.

Flower29 · 17/03/2015 20:22

Forgot to add, it's rely hard when you don't have any answers isn't it? My mind can't help but race through any likely causes or links with any other symptoms I have. I try to forget about it but it's constantly running round my head.

Catlover2014 · 17/03/2015 20:24

Great to hear about your follicles developing and lovely lining barking. Fingers crossed for lots of lovely juicy eggs :)

Glad scan went well just. How exciting!!!

Flower29 · 17/03/2015 20:24

Also I was thinking that other day when tilted uterus was mentioned, it seems a lot of us have it on here.... Hmm makes you wonder...
