Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats Smile

Fab news cat

bakingtins · 16/02/2015 14:58

woohoo cat congratulations on Tom Kitten! Counting down now!

Purplefrogshoes · 16/02/2015 14:58

Yay cat I'm team blue too Grin

ourday my scan measurements didn't match up with dates until I was nearly 12 weeks because I have retroverted uterus so try not to worry

Work let me home early, my colleague didn't turn up she has delayed by a week

Fingers still crossed for scans

Waves to everyone, I'm off for a nap, I'm so tired as I didn't sleep much last night

ourdaywillcome1983 · 16/02/2015 15:07

Thanks purple enjoy your nap, i could do with one too! Not too worried about dates since they put me in front its just the nausea up and left me all weekend and Friday too, it scared me as this is what happened with MMC3 but im feeling poorly today so im not sure if i had a break. Will be glad of the scan on weds.

Boozle80 · 16/02/2015 15:11

Few! All looks good with baby Boozle! I could now sleep for a week!

Justonemoretime · 16/02/2015 15:14

Boozle Grin! so pleased!
I'm back in for 20 week scan part 2 tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully baby will have shifted position by then!

longestlurkerever · 16/02/2015 15:14

Brilliant news boozle! How many weeks are you?

purple I am going to join you in that nap. I finish early on Mondays as dd finishes at 3:30 but today she is in holiday club which doesn't finish until 6 so I am going to have a cheeky hour at home before fetching her.

longestlurkerever · 16/02/2015 15:15

Sorry for my double post earlier - something went very strange.

Boozle80 · 16/02/2015 15:15

YAY Boozle excellent news! I cry at every scan too! Fantastic!

Marchgirl · 16/02/2015 15:22

Awesome news boozle!! So happy for you. Still remember back to those anxious weeks at the beginning with the little bits of spotting you had. Look how far you've come from there! Brilliant. Did you find out the sex?
Thinking of you bythesea. Hope all is well

Boozle80 · 16/02/2015 15:39

I don't think 12 weeks have ever seemed so long! So much spotting, all the time, it was horrible - I wouldn't wish it upon anybody! Nope, we're going for a surprise :) such a relief to get this one out the way!

Brummiegirl15 · 16/02/2015 15:52

Yay Boozle. Hoping bythesea makes it a hat trick

Wonderful news. I would've cried too x

Catlover2014 · 16/02/2015 16:07

Fantastic news boozle!!! Whoop!! Very happy for you. I'm in Holmfirth on Saturday 28th February, would you be free to meet for a coffee in the afternoon perhaps?

Crossing everything for sea!

bakingtins · 16/02/2015 16:09

wonderful news boozle Smile

girliesaints · 16/02/2015 16:22

Quick check in as at work (sneaky look whilst in boring meeting!) big whoops for Cat & Boozle !!! Fingers crossed for bythesea.

Brummie- I'll be your consultant buddy as I'm there Thursday. Time is dragging this week for me ??

bythesea82 · 16/02/2015 16:28

Yey boozle great news Grin

Well all fine here on a more low key scale! As much as I wish I was celebrating 20 weeks, step by step I guess. Pregnancy in the right place & they'll scan again next weds when I should be about 8 weeks. Consultant said he wants to scan every week so no battles for scans this time it seems!

Mmmm nap, sounds tempting!

brummie glad you're appointment is soon. You'll be in a different stage of waiting before you know it Wink

girliesaints · 16/02/2015 16:47

Hurrah, a full sweep of scans. Congratulations bythesea, just think another step crossed off. Well done ladies, naps all round?!

Marchgirl · 16/02/2015 16:49

Yay bythesea! A fantastic hat trick of scan news. Keep it coming for tomorrow (just) and Wed (ourday and twilight?) Anyone else this week?

Well i got through the first day back. Actually feeling a bit better today. Only a couple of wobbly lip moments. One over a plastic storage box (!!) That someone asked if they could have. I'd been saving it for when i went on mat leave (they're like hen's teeth to get hold of at my work), but won't be needing it for a while so i let it go. Funny the ridiculous things that set me off!

Can i ask a question about hormone testing? My acupuncture woman said i should have it done. I've done some research and it seems this is testing for progesterone levels on cd21 (or my equivalent) and possibly cd3 for FSH and LH. Is this right? Or have i got the wrong end of the stick and it's something else?

Justonemoretime · 16/02/2015 16:54

Great news bythesea! Grin

Sunandrainbow · 16/02/2015 16:55

Yay!!! Great news on the scans ladies. x

longestlurkerever · 16/02/2015 17:00

Brilliant news! So pleased for all the good scans. Good luck for scans and consultations coming up everyone. I am banking on this being the day this thread turns around.

marchgirl Glad you survived. That sounds right re hormone testing.

Nap thwarted by awol builder finally turning up to begin odd jobs we asked him to do months ago! Still, will be nice to get house sorted. Off in search of paint now.

Sunandrainbow · 16/02/2015 17:04

march - not sure about day 21 progesterone. Fsh and lh I think are usually more about fertility than mc, although having an lh higher than fsh can indicate pcos (sonething like that). I actually did have these done when I ended up getting some tests done privately on insurance and my fsh was a bit on the high side, which worried me as it can indicate a low ovarian reserve. But every mc consultant I have subsequently spoken to says fsh can fluctuate from one month to the next and has no bearing on mc. The nhs rmc said they would not test fsh and lh in the context of mc. They also assured me that having got pg 3 times in 11 months and having a good antral follicle count was a much better indicator of fertility than a snap shot test. I guess what I'm saying is that in my case I found the result really worrying and wish I hadn't had it done as there doesn't seem to be any link on mc. x
