Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats :)

Fur babies help us through rebecca x

Rebeccaelizabethxo · 23/01/2015 22:47

catlover they certainly do, I've got a hoard of them, three cats and a huge dog. Constantly pester the oh for more cats, but he assures me if I bring any more home he's out haha Blush

Belleende · 23/01/2015 22:51

boozle in no way should you take me consistently blaming you for my misadventures with the doppler to heart. A) I would have bought one anyways b) I am a muppet
Suprise visit from mother this weekend so she might get to feel some Donut action.
cloud sounds like you need some saucy yet arty films to keep you in the mood. I can recommend pillow book. It is about three days long, and you get to know euan mcgregor very well by the end of it, ahem.

Night ladies.

bakingtins · 24/01/2015 07:34

Good luck today barking

rebecca I'm another with fur babies, every time I sit down I have a (thankfully small) dog and a cat on my lap.

Go for it cloud

Justonemoretime · 24/01/2015 07:37

Morning ladies,
Rebecca, sorry you find yourself here, but you (and your dog) are most welcome. I hope that you can persuade your GP to run at least a few basic blood tests. Good luck and look after yourself.
Monten LOL! :D
Belle, glad your consultant was able to reassure you.
Barking, everything crossed for you. Hope you can find some nice distractions to stop the 2ww dragging too much.
I'm supposed to be picking up a borrowed doppler from a friend today, but DH thinks its a bad idea (is he an undercover mw?). I am sure this way insanity lies, but hey ho!
I can't remember who asked, but I'm 18 weeks now. After a reasonably quiet night with DH trying to get a kick (me going 'Ooh! Ooh! Now, can you feel it?' and him sitting really quietly with his hand on bump for 5 mins and nothing happening), Wiggly H (don't ask, DH's name for it) is on pretty good form this morning and DH is asleep. I'm off for a swim. Will buy fresh baked bread on the way home, I think. Can't let an exercise session go by without a decent portion of carbs as a reward!
Waves to everyone! xx

On bus to work...just did mega quick look through will catch up properly later.

Thanks to everyone for advice on pay...i spent yesterday morning planning how to do an HR meeting, what to say etc, and generally panicking about paying the mortgage, until they got back to me at about 2pm to say it was a computer error that massively overdid my sick time, so the rest of my wages should be there now. Thank god!

baking, no you and faith and your family should not be going through this. You sound like like you are coping admirably, which includes the blubbering heap moments. I'm a nurse and agree that doctors are not prone to false hope. Hugs to you xxx

Hi to everyone else and will catch ip properly later...

tannyLoo · 24/01/2015 07:44

Phew Bootles, what a relief! x

Boozle80 · 24/01/2015 07:51

I'm going to go and get that film - I love a bit of Ewan McGregor action!

Flen · 24/01/2015 08:17

Hello Rebecca and sorry to hear what you've been through. Glad you have your dog taking care of you! Mine definitely helped me through, and we also got a kitten about a month ago who is just ace.

barking good luck today, thinking of all the lucky items I possibly can for you!

Belleende · 24/01/2015 08:19

just you just described my evening. Had ohs hand down my trousers for most of the evening trying to get some Donut action. But I have a fickle donut. I have managed to locate the heartbeat, but I can see why home dopplers are a bit frowned upon. But we are all grown ups so hey ho.
bootles phew! That would have been stonkingly harsh and not what you need to be dealing with right now.
boozle it is quite a boring film, but with a few big highlights.

Flen · 24/01/2015 08:20

cloud I totally empathise! We did four days in a row round my fertile window. It can tip from fun to determined pretty quickly...

Jady77 · 24/01/2015 08:21

That's really good Bootle. My work only pay 5 days sick in 12 month period, so waiting for payday to see if my pay has been docked or if new boss has used his line manager discretion. Pretty sure I'll resign if pay isn't full.

Also gonna find me a bit of Ewan action, how have I not heard of it before!

girliesaints · 24/01/2015 08:34

Bootle, glad to hear that it was a mistake and hope you got an apology

Just- ooh fresh bread. Love it but not friendly when trying to loose weight. (She says crying into her omelette!)

girliesaints · 24/01/2015 08:35

Btw- I am the only person not to have a thing for Ewan?

Flower29 · 24/01/2015 09:03

Welcome Rebecca, sorry you find yourself here but I'm sure you'll find lots of support here. My situation is similar to yours, MMC at 12wks in sep14 and mc now which started at 6wks. Like you I'm coping much better this time round. I got quite depressed after the last one, it took me a good few months and if it wasn't for my little boy i suspect I wouldn't have made it out of bed for a while. Glad your pooch is looking after you, bless him.
baking constantly in my thoughts and still hoping for the best outcome for little Faith. From what you've said it sounds like things are pointing in the right direction so hoping this is the case.
Barking fingers crossed, hoping the 2ww passes quickly.
Sorry I've probably missed lots of people off!
I'm going for my hcg test again this morning so hoping it will have dropped significantly (as my bleeding seems to have tapered off too) and I can get closer to ttc again. Although I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the whole process again this time round (not particularly the ttc but the 2ww, then disappointing bfns, then shitting myself if I get a BFP, then shitting myself with any spotting/lack of symptoms/pains/early scans....the list goes on, just basically going to be shitting myself a lot)

Flen · 24/01/2015 09:10

girlie I don't either...

cloudjumper · 24/01/2015 09:14

Bootles, what a relief! Best outcome of this really, at least you won't have to confront them now.

Flen - yep, this pretty much what I'll end up doing. 2 down, 2 to go. Confused

I am SO paranoid about getting another bladder infection from this that I resorted to desperate measure and took antibiotics last night - left over from the last time and save to take when/if pg. I'm normally not a fan of self-medicating, but I need to get through this somehow. Did I mention I'm desperate?

Marchgirl · 24/01/2015 09:17

Hi rebecca. So sorry you find yourself here. It's truly a shit thing to have to go through, especially more than once, but these ladies are amazing and you'll find lots of support.

barking good luck today and with the 2ww. Everything crossed for you

bootles. Phew! Glad it's just a mistake. Think I'll go and check my sickness policy now though, just in case.

Cloud, feeling your pain. Came home early from work yesterday to jump dh just in case. Even stronger line on opk today (stronger than control line) so must be real (unless it's affected by alcohol). Really can't be bothered to do anything with a bit of a hangover but hopefully I'll feel more in the mood later. Already wondering if I've missed this month as it's caught me by surprise being so early.

Boozle80 · 24/01/2015 09:21

Flen, Girlie how could you not! Think it must be the accent...

Evahopeful39 · 24/01/2015 09:40

Hi, I've just had my 4th MC, my 3 pervious were all at 5 1/2 weeks. This latest I was told to take baby aspirin-which I did, but this time I MC at 5 weeks.
I've had numerous tests and all have come out negative. Even my GP says in her words 'You're extremely healthy' which told me nothing!
I'm seeing gynae and have had all the physical tests incl HCG and all return 'normal' results. I'm 39 now and becoming increasingly frustrated as I feel time is rapidly running out for me.
I've asked the gynae about the possibility of progesterone but I get nowhere and even my GP is surprised about this.
Does anyone have a similar story or advice as to what i can ask for next? I'm seeing my gynae in two weeks time and I want to be 'armed' with the right questions to ask.
Any ideas/advice would be great!

Justonemoretime · 24/01/2015 09:42

I met Ewan McGregor once when I used to work in the West End at the theatre. He seemed really nice. Doesn't get my pulse racing, TBH, but nice guy.

Good luck for today barking. Here's hoping for a fast moving 2ww!

cloudjumper · 24/01/2015 10:00

March - are we cycle buddies then?!

Eva - welcome, sorry you find yourself here. Sounds as if you are I. A similar situation like many of us, as in getting frustrated with the healthcare professionals. There are quite a few tests you can ask to be done - currently on my phone and struggling to write, will try to post more details when I get to my computer later - but maybe someone else can help in the meantime, lots of knowledgeable ladies here!

Just - your post about fresh bread has got me baking, dough is now proving Smile

Justonemoretime · 24/01/2015 10:06

Eva, welcome to the club no one wants to join. Sorry for your losses. Did you have any test on the babies themselves, to find out about genetic issues? I know its not always possible. If I were you, I'd look at going to the implantation clinic at Coventry run by profs Quenby and Brosens. Its £360 and you need to not be pg when you go and have had at least one af since your last mc. They do a uterine biopsy and test for normal post ov changes and nk cells. Quite a few of us have been there with successful outcomes. Even if your nk cells are normal (mine were), you'll still get heparin injections and progesterone prescribed by them. Its all still in the research phase so some other consultants can be a bit sniffy about it, but its worth a try if everything is 'normal'. Sorry I can't post the link on my phone, but you should be able to find the details on Google. Good luck!

Boozle- nope it's the face that doesn't do it for me ??

Eva- welcome and sorry for your losses. You are in safe hands on here as lots of ladies have been in a similar position and a few are now pregnant. I'll leave them to give you the relevant advice as I'm on number 3 so still learning myself x
