Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats :)

Good luck flen. I hope you get some answers. X

Marchgirl · 15/01/2015 12:39

Good luck for tomorrow flen. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get some (treatable) answers or at least a good plan for next time. Then we will perhaps be ttc buddies soon Smile

girliesaints · 15/01/2015 13:11

Flen, good luck for your appointment and hope you get some answers. Will be interested to hear what they say as we have a similar background and MC danger points x

bakingtins · 15/01/2015 13:24

Good luck flen hope you get the answers you are looking for.

Justonemoretime · 15/01/2015 13:55

Good luck to those with appointments coming up. Good questions, Flen. Your danger point sounds v similar to mine (#3 was different, was chromosomal and I put this down to dodgy implantation due at least partially to taking aspirin prior to conception - solved one prob, caused another). Be prepared that if you ask about Coventry they may well get a bit sniffy, but I say its well worth a visit. x

Monten- that sucks and generally on days like that I find the world is full of numpties that are there just to annoy me!

charlieis30 · 15/01/2015 15:58

Hi everyone
Just wanted to report back that I'm definitely still pregnant, baby measuring a little ahead (13w!) with a nice strong HB.
Thank you all SO SO much for all the support, MC is the absolute shittiest thing to happen and to have it more than once has you questioning everything. I couldn't have got here (sane) without you all!

Sunandrainbow · 15/01/2015 16:04

Yay! Congrats charlie - that's great news. Grin

Marchgirl · 15/01/2015 16:19

Congratulations charlie. Delighted for you x

longestlurkerever · 15/01/2015 16:21

Hurrah Charlie that's amazing!!! So pleased for you.

Flen that's sounds like you've pretty much got it covered !

Well, I've had acupuncture. And oh my life, it was amazing. I loved it!!! Probably helps that I found it really fascinating as well. This acupuncturist only focuses on fertility and seems to have a very busy practice.

Said my problems all stemmed from my large intestine. Said he was concerned my womb lining wasn't thick enough as when I am on the period barely last 4 days . Tends to be more like 3 but apparently it should be 5. Pfft not had a 5 day period since probably my twenties.

He wasn't concerned about my short cycles as I'm ovulating early my luteal phase is ok.

He said I was pretty healthy but I needed to cut out unnecessary sugar - so not fruit juice or orange squash at all. WTF????? Confused And definitely no coke which I guessed.

Told me to drink sparkling water and filtered tap water with slice of lemon to help my liver.

Also said I need much more amino acids and proteins in my diet. So I need 2 eggs a day, every day. Plus plenty of meat and vegetables and avoid "low fat" food.

Was really interesting. Loved it! The needle that hurt the most though was the one representing my cervix. Which is absolutely no surprise .

Felt great when I came out but lord, I need a sleep now....

TinyTear · 15/01/2015 16:30

ourdaywillcome1983 · 15/01/2015 16:44

cloudjumper · 15/01/2015 16:44

Great news charlie!

bakingtins · 15/01/2015 16:47

Fab news charlie so pleased for you Smile

brummie glad your session went well.

longestlurkerever · 15/01/2015 16:47

Glad it was good brummie. He might have something in the thin lining theory? Coventry look at that and some ladies on this thread had some ideas for supplements that could help.

Sunandrainbow · 15/01/2015 16:59

Glad you enjoyed the acupuncture Brummie! Interesting about the thin lining theory. My periods are generally only 3 days too. Must ask the RMC when I see them again at the end of this month. Are the diet changes they suggested supposed to help with thin lining or just for general health do you know?

Also longest - do you know how Coventry assess this? Is it from a scan or a biopsy. Feel quite squeamish re biopsy - stupid I know after 3 mc/erpcs!

Brummiegirl15 · 15/01/2015 17:23

Sun the diet changes are to help with general health in that it will help rebalance a particular organ which will have a knock on effect on my blood.

He said he actually doesn't "specifically" treat infertility / miscarriage but more the organs that aren't working efficiently so this has a knock on effect.

My aim is to try and rebalance myself before I see consultant and try again.

I was also recommended to see him as soon as I get a BFP so he can focus on redirecting blood to the uterus.

I went on previous recommendation from a colleague and to be honest I'll try anything to put me in a positive frame of mind

charlieis30 · 15/01/2015 17:36

brummie glad you enjoyed your acupuncture... I am a big fan, I went regularly after MC2. It feels nice doing something for yourself, and to optimise your health before trying again.

TinyTear · 15/01/2015 17:52

Sun, it was biopsy...

TinyTear · 15/01/2015 17:52

And scan...

Sunandrainbow · 15/01/2015 18:04

... Thanks for the info all. This might be a really stupid question - do they do biopsy under anaesthetic??

Justonemoretime · 15/01/2015 18:06

Sun, not a stupid question Smile. No they don't, and it is not too comfortable, but nothing a paracetamol and a rest won't fix.
