Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats :)

I got my karyotype results back yesterday for me and DH and we are both normal. Phew. That was the one results I wanted to come back negative as it's untreatable.

But now I'm getting increasingly nervous that I'm not going to be on heparin with the next one. Should I call the consultant and beg? I'm effectively discharged now the tests have all come back so I won't get another appt to discuss it.

Also another question. Has anyone had a corpus luteum cyst and if so, how long did it take to go away? It's Been 3 months since mc (so 5 months since it formed!) and still getting pinching pain/discomfort, so I think it's still there. It was about 5cm when I was scanned 3 weeks after my mc but I stupidly never asked at my uterine scan before Christmas

TinyTear · 15/01/2015 07:22

Apologies for not commenting more, but just checking, lurker and Charlie, still on for 12:45 at the fleet St pret opposite the royal court?

Boozle80 · 15/01/2015 08:08

March I found that anything they agreed on went out the window and they looked it afresh when I got my BFP anyway. I'd definitely push for it when you go back in brandishing your POAS though - I also found I got far more of what I wanted face to face as well :). If it'll put your mind at rest email though - it can't do any harm and if they agree you can always take te email as evidence.
I had the corpus lupium cyst and I think it took about three months to clear - it was blooming painful, I even ended up in a and e one evening when it ruptured - ouch! If it was still 5cm it should be written into your scan report if you've got a copy? They always made a note of it on there on mine. Hope this helps!

charlieis30 · 15/01/2015 08:48

hi tiny yes I'll be there!

yes it was me that paid for testing, but mine was an erpc so it was "easier". not sure i could have caught the baby in my natural mc, it all happened really fast. it cost around 200-250, worth every penny as came back with trisomy so at least i had an answer that time round. also has meant midwives have really been on the ball this pregnancy, happy to check me regularly etc.

12w scan today, bricking it. keep telling the baby to be ok, that will work right?!

Justonemoretime · 15/01/2015 09:05

Good luck today Charlie. x

Barking i was a wimp and couldnt manage it! DH had to do it which i was really shocked at as he didnt think he'd be able to. The needle going in was as you'd expect but the solution was really stingy for a while after. Ive read to go extremely slow with the plunger and that should stop it, he did go slow but clearly not slow enough! anyone else have any tips? He didnt bruise me but the nurse did who took my bloods
Yes thats right Bootles i'm 6 weeks, 6+1 today. Thanks to all for your congratulations.
Flower sorry youre going through this, my GP actually agreed to refer me for tests after my second - maybe try? It didnt get very far for me tho as i fell pregnant with mc3 whilst waiting. The advice youve received (seive/jar/pot) is really good.
Hope youre feeling rested tanny Flowers

ourdaywillcome1983 · 15/01/2015 09:09

Good luck today charlie hope you dont have long to wait

longestlurkerever · 15/01/2015 09:17

Yes see you there Tiny! Waiting on a tiny chair in the children's centre to grab my matb1 form. They have a baby group on. Getting teary at the idea of bringing the baby here. Is starting to feel real!

Brummiegirl15 · 15/01/2015 09:52

Good luck today Charlie my 12 week scan would've been this time next week and would do anything to still be able to have it so I know what it means to you.

Hope little Charlie is wriggling and waving away!!!!

TinyTear · 15/01/2015 10:02

Good luck charlie. Lurker and I will try to calm you.

I have been fortunate (?) That none of my 5mcs were a mmc so I only made it to 12 w scans with DD and this one...

Main advice is to tell them straight away you have RMC issues and ask for the HB straight away... Then they can do their work...

Brummiegirl15 · 15/01/2015 10:14

That's the problem Tiny because I had a hb with 7 wk scan but then a silent mc I am not sure I will ever hold much weight against a scan ever again. Which really saddens me. It shouldn't be like that Sad

Marchgirl · 15/01/2015 10:17

Good luck for the scan charlie. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Thanks for the advice boozle. I will leave it a bit longer before asking about my clc then if that is normal. Just worried the egg won't have room to squeeze through into my tube as I'm due to ovulate on that side (does that sound totally ridiculous!?!)

tannyLoo · 15/01/2015 10:20

Hugs brummie. The milestones are so hard...

Charlie good luck with the scan, and can you all give each other a hug from us when you have lunch? X

I'm about to get dressed and face the world. Full of snot from the cold that I've been holding off, knackered and a bit low, but otherwise ok. Can't wait to climb back into my jimjams later...

Justonemoretime · 15/01/2015 10:25

All of my MCs have been mmcs, scans are an extremely anxious time for me. I don't know why my body likes to hold on to everything. But every pg is new and different, so try not to let the past become a barrier to your future. x

Brummie with MC3 i also saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks. Its a real tough time and 2 of my MC have been MMC. MC3 was in August and i didnt think i'd be able to deal with any of this ever again, i spent so much time crying in my car to and from work. I think my feelings shifted in November, just before my consultation. This site has been my salvation, its so rare that fortunately i dont know anyone whos been through such a thing that i'd be able to talk to about this. Sending you hugs.

Brummiegirl15 · 15/01/2015 10:43

Lunch sounds lovely. Enjoy today.

I'm having my first acupuncture session!!! Bit nervous but whilst on this break I need to do something positive.

bakingtins · 15/01/2015 10:47

charlie good luck with the scan.

brummie hope your acupuncture goes well. I find it completely fascinating. I've never had it myself but I used it v successfully to treat my dog who had a cranial nerve tumour (I'm a vet, not some wierdo sticking needles in my dog) and I'm hoping to train up to do it as a sideline when I'm back at work. We have a physio who comes in one day a week to the surgery but she's not allowed to perform acupuncture on pets, though she does people....

tanny hope all went smoothly yesterday and you and babytan coped ok.

bakingtins · 15/01/2015 10:49

I'd love to do a Bristol meet up at some point - tanny sorry I think you mentioned it several pages back, as long as having F in tow is not going to upset anyone. If it was an evening I can leave her with DH.

Flower29 · 15/01/2015 10:52

Thanks everyone for all your advice, it's really helpful. So glad things are going well for some of you, good luck for your scan today Charlie!

Monten · 15/01/2015 10:56

I hope you enjoy it brummie. I find it so relaxing, it turns me to jelly. Both times I came home and went to sleep on the sofa.

I completely agree about needing to do something positive. Accupuncture, massage, facials, windy walks. Do whatever makes you feel you're looking after your body and soul.

Massive amounts of good luck charlie x

Af due in the next few days. Almost positive I'm not pregnant. Having a low time. Very Angry. Watch out world!

charlieis30 · 15/01/2015 10:56

thanks for the kind words everyone, its not till late this arvo so I'll let you all know. hugs for all of you, this board has saved me over and over since mc2 in aug and i dont know what i woukd havw done without it!

Flen · 15/01/2015 11:11

I have my consultant appointment tomorrow where I will hopefully get the blood test results. Feeling pretty jittery about it, although also looking forward to knowing where we are so we can make some decisions about how to move forward. Trying desperately to keep all the questions I have in my head, and am certain I will forget the moment we go in. We've got a list! Waiting SUCKS.

tanny I am glad it was ok yesterday. Hope you managed some rest last night.

Sorry for not name-checking everyone, such a fast-moving thread!

Brummiegirl15 · 15/01/2015 12:06

Flen good luck tomorrow!!! What kind of questions do you (or anyone else !) have if you don't mind me asking??

I'm seeing the consultant on 23rd Feb and I have no idea what to ask other than "what is wrong with me" and "can you help?"

Flen · 15/01/2015 12:16

Ha Brummie! Those are my top two...

We know that our last baby was chromosomally normal, so we will ask about what issues can be the case if that is found to be the case (if that makes sense). Depending on the blood test results, we will ask what treatments are available. If all the tests are clear, we will ask what they can offer us. My losses happen between 6 and 7 weeks (although my body hangs on so I get missed miscarriages) so I will also ask about specific support around that time of our next pregnancy, as well as what in his opinion cause issues at 6-7 weeks. We will ask about when to try again and also whether to pursue Coventry testing (if the blood tests come back clear) or any other private avenues he might advise.

Phew! Think that's everything we've come up with. Would be very grateful for other useful question suggestions though.
