Information, support, hand holding, tea, sympathy and a hell of a lot of combined knowledge - all welcome as we try to make sense of the RMC roller coaster of tests, NHS admin, heart ache and (hopefully) happy endings!
Please start with a recap of your stats :)

bakingtins · 09/12/2014 10:59

Justonemoretime · 09/12/2014 11:25

Thanks, yes, said to the consultant (they squeezed us in as their lists were packed) that I'd never seen one that big before Shock Grin 'Official' 12 week scan is next Tues afternoon. Crikey!

Some advice ladies. Just got the appointment through for my scan to check for uterine abnormalities and it's next week. However, I'm on a course next week in a different County and it would mean missing the last day of the course to go. I've been waiting ages for the course and need it for my job. Just rang to change the scan but they have nothing til the end of Jan. We are due to be trying again this month but if i don't take this scan and then I get a bfp before the next available scan date then they won't do the uterine scan.

So do i cancel the course and go to the scan or do I change the scan date to jan and either 'hope' I don't get a bfp this month (only that won't be what I'm hoping) or miss the scan completely? I'm vaguely thinking do I really need it, as I've had a successful pg before, but want to rule out everything i can

She cheerily said "we'll if you get pregnant then you won't need the scan will you as you'll just be getting your antenatal ones?". She obviously doesn't quite get the point of recurrent mc.
Any advice?

Just that has made me cry! So pleased for you x

March I don't know what to advise! I know that urge to crack on only too well, so can't blame you for not really wanting to postpone till Jan...

Justonemoretime · 09/12/2014 13:54

Bootles, yay for HB! I'm sure size/dates are fine. I've been alternately gaining and losing 3/4 days every scan so far and everyone seems happy... How many weeks are you now? xx

wooohooooo!

cloudjumper · 09/12/2014 14:14

Bootles Yay!

March Personally, I would take the scan in January and maybe try to 'avoid' a BFP this month... I realise you are impatient, but in the grand scheme of things, what's another month, really? I think it's worth to wait, just for that extra peace of mind that they have ticked off that particular examination for the rmcs... Just my thoughts!

bythesea82 · 09/12/2014 14:20

bootles great news Grin
march do you have an agenda for the week, or could you contact the organisers to do the last day remotely or check the material and run questions by them so it still classed as completed? Not sure what you do so this might not be possible. If not, I would lean towards doing the course, I know it's another month but otherwise it's something else you've put on hold for the TTC....

longestlurkerever · 09/12/2014 14:38

Sorry, missed your update somehow bootles! Fantastic! So pleased all these pregnancies are going so well!

march fwiw I went ahead and ttc while waiting for my saline scan. The normal scan had showed a very slightly arcuate uterus but the dr said it was almost certainly fine and the saline one was just to be certain. Didn't really expect a bfp first cycle as had always taken me a lot longer but there we are. I would go for the course too but keep badgering hospital in case they have a cancellation. They will have lots because of pregnancies or unusual cycles I am sure.

Or I have found lately that my hospital's first response when I ask to move an appointment is to offer something ridiculously distant but if I really push they somehow find a sooner one.

Catlover2014 · 09/12/2014 14:56

Whoop! Great news on the feed again. Congratulations to you bootles and just!!!! So very pleased for you both.

belle I'm with you on the teary. Cried down the phone to my mum this morning and being in work is a real slog today. Let's hope the good luck stays with the thread and we both get happy scans this week. What time do you go on Thursday?

March if it were me I would go for scan over the course. You can always do the course next year. Health and baby trying comes first!

Hugs ladies xxxx

Marchgirl · 09/12/2014 15:00

Thanks everyone. I've emailed to see if I can do the last day of the course the next time they run it and decided if my clotting comes back positive then that's more likely to be the cause, so hoping that will be back before Friday which might influence what i do. I might Also phone the appt woman again and see if there's anything else they can do at a different hospital (although she wasn't very helpful). I must seem like an impatient child but i feel really well and quite positive at the moment and i just don't want to wait !

Flen · 09/12/2014 16:22

Bootles YAY!
