Dildoos it's all a double edged sword isn't it! You want them but you don't want them! Hopefully they'll say what you want them too and you can start getting towards your BFP on your birthday!
I was prescribed asprin by one doctor and then another told me today I shouldn't take it - hence the confusion!

longestlurkerever · 10/11/2014 21:00

boozle hard as it is I would follow the most up to date opinion. The research into aspirin is fairly recent and the guidance may have been updated since your last appointment. The heparin q is more confusing. I have never fared well getting drs to prescribe things they don't want to but maybe I just lack persuasion skills.

Boozle80 · 10/11/2014 21:01

I rang the first doctor who prescribed it at EPU who said they hadn't heard of what the consultant was saying unless it was taken before conception. She followed it up by saying that I should speak to the doctor who said not to at the RMC as she may have a different understanding and she doesn't want to contradict her. The RMC is only on once a week so that'll be next Monday before I can ask the question. Sorry for the large amount of self absorbent posts, just trying to work out what to do and you guys help me sort out my mind and present rational argument to consider!

dildoos · 10/11/2014 21:01

Boozle- did they say why not? What was there theory behind not taking? Sorry for all questions. I will slip into my appointment conversation on Monday for you, I know it's a week off. X

Boozle80 · 10/11/2014 21:02

It's only a week between each piece of advice in the same hospital.

longestlurkerever · 10/11/2014 21:02

boozle grrrrr. They are contradicting each other. Shouldn't be up to you to untangle the web. Hugs xx

Boozle80 · 10/11/2014 21:04

She said that there's research that says it can prevent implantation properly - questions are good - they help me sort out my confuddled brain!

Flen · 10/11/2014 21:05

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's just a shift in thinking about timing, mainly. I know it sounds silly, but I don't want to double up on due dates of previous mcs...

And also it is the time ticking by stuff.

And also today is a due date, so I think that means my anxieties about the whole thing are much higher than usual.

dildoos · 10/11/2014 21:06

Blimey! Yes contradiction is hideous! You need to go with whoever you felt you trusted the judgment on more if you feel strongly towards one professional to another for next week until you can go wih questions?
I totally have my life in my guys hands and trust him fully but we are all so different!
Your posts are not me me posts your worried and this is exactly where you should come if your worried as stress is not something you want right now!
Xx

Boozle80 · 10/11/2014 21:07

Longest they are - as if early pregnancy isn't hard enough to deal with after our histories! I'd love someone to just give me hug, tell me what to do and tada! Baby arrives in seven and a half months! Or if, God forbid, it all goes pear shaped again at least I won't blame myself for making the wrong decision!

dildoos · 10/11/2014 21:08

Flen hugs to you ! Difficult day for you. Thanks

dildoos · 10/11/2014 21:10

Boozle - hugs to you and remember sadly your mc are not due to something you have done ever my lovely. It's a hard time for you and have everything crossed that this is your time xxx

Boozle80 · 10/11/2014 21:10

Thanks guys - you're amazing.

Flen, sending you a massive hug, it's a horrible day to get through, bless you for supporting me when it should be completely the other way round

longestlurkerever · 10/11/2014 21:16

Hugs to flen too.

Marchgirl · 10/11/2014 21:37

Hugs to flen and boozle for some difficult days you're having Flowers

girliesaints · 11/11/2014 06:25

Flen- I sympathise with your frustrations as I've had to put on hold trying again as originally the nurse led epu unit wouldn't refer me and only after my GP got involved i am now waiting for my appointment In January?? I'm trying to use this enforced break to get myself emotionally and physically ready by loosing the extra weight I have gained and deal with my emotions including the first due date which was due in late November (I've blocked the exact date) it's not easy and everyone needs to do what's right for them but as I see it if I focus on the negatives the whole time, I'll be wasting energy that I need later along the journey

Justonemoretime · 11/11/2014 06:36

Good luck today, Longest, fx everything is looking good. xx

girliesaints · 11/11/2014 06:47

tannyLoo · 11/11/2014 07:06

Good luck Longest, I'm sure it'll be fine x

Flen · 11/11/2014 07:45

Good luck today longest

Girlie, yes, that's the attitude I am trying to take! I wouldn't be TTC now anyway, but I hate the numbers game of counting down to when we can. I was hoping that we could sneak in both bloods and consultant before Christmas. And I'm just frustrated that we were told differing things about how long bloods would take to come back etc. We will be waiting together! Is your January appt to take blood tests or with the consultant?

And boozle, it IS so confusing, and it must be really hard trying to navigate all that. Hope Monday brings a bit of clarity at least.

bakingtins · 11/11/2014 07:53

Good luck longest

Good luck today longest

And I find odd a consultant says 6w is too late for heparin. I started at 6w, and so has just...

I just so wish they would have some consensus!
