Welcome everyone - pull up a chair! A thread for anyone who has suffered multiple miscarriages and is in need of information, moral support, tea or sympathy. Newbies very welcome.

Can we start the thread with a recap of where we are all up to again, please?

No, only Prof Q, but some of the others have seen him and been positive about it. Let us know how you get on.

Great, will do.
How's little Faith? :) Beautiful and most perfect name!

bakingtins · 17/06/2014 18:59

Doing well, thanks Smile
We had a bit of a rough start due mainly to her being too impatient to arrive, so problems with maintaining blood sugars and jaundice, then slow to establish breastfeeding, but we've turned a corner and may even reach the dizzy heights of 6lb when she is weighed tomorrow Wink
She's worth all the heartache.

Choccywoccydodah · 17/06/2014 19:11

Awww bet she is. How early was she? Is she home?

cavamonster · 17/06/2014 22:48

Thanks everyone for the good luck thoughts, you were right the form was long!!

I feel the most hopeful i have felt for awhile, I at least know now it is getting taken seriously and they seem to work quite fast - i left today with an op date?!

We were in for 3 hours, scan, consultation and bloods and filling out the form!! After attending our local RMC who basically said "oh well if you miscarry again bring in the tissue" - today was certainly alot more thorough!

Lovely to hear nice news about little faith, such a beautiful name and can't scroll back but to whoever mentioned counselling - i attend counselling and it's probably saved my sanity, marriage and career!! If you dont bond with the first one, just say and try someone else because it can take a couple to get a good match but a good counsellor can make the world of difference.

Justonemoretime · 17/06/2014 22:52

Glad it went well, Cava. What are they doing in your op? X

cavamonster · 18/06/2014 03:23

Thanks just, I have a small section of asherman's syndrome following my last ERPC and was waiting to meet with my own consultant to see how he wanted to progress but they have decided they want to want go in to remove it so have pushed on with the procedure.

Quite good as since finding out last week that the adhesions had occured again (I suffered from it for 20 months in between mc 2 and 3 and had 3 surgeries to correct it) I had been planning to go private to speed up the process but now dont need to.

Justonemoretime · 18/06/2014 07:04

Good. Take a book, you'll sit on the ward all day and they'll probably send your OH off to wander the streets as soon as they admit you. They're really nice, but its run like an old-fashioned (no visitors etc.) ward, I found. I had a septum removed there in October. X

Homelander · 18/06/2014 17:20

Choccy Number 6? That must be so hard. Hope your appt with Prof Brosens goes OK.

Seasalt I have my fingers crossed for you.

Hi Tiny, glad your GP is supportive, I went to mine a few days after my 3rd MMC, I was in floods of tears and he basically gave me everything I asked for I think just to get me out of there! I have been having some therapy and it seems to be helping, struggling with work sometimes though, I find it hard to stay motivated right now. Good luck with the counselling.

xx

cavamonster · 18/06/2014 21:17

Yes just we are at the stage we are used to drill, DH will prob actually go to work in between know I've been through so many various ga's!!

The last time I went in, I was so relaxed I went to sleep whilst I waited on them (I've had 8 op's since mar12)!!

After they removed the septum were they happy with the outcome and are you still under their care?

Choccywoccydodah · 19/06/2014 15:47

homelander very hard, I just want answers now :(

Justonemoretime · 19/06/2014 18:28

Cava, they put IUDs in and gave me hrt for a month. I'm under their car if I get pg again. X

Justonemoretime · 19/06/2014 18:29

Care. Obviously. Doh!

Homelander · 19/06/2014 21:15

Choccy I really feel for you. 3 has been bad enough. Really hope Prof Brosens gets you some of those answers. x

cavamonster · 20/06/2014 09:59

I think that is their after care plan with me aswell just (the iud and hrt), I had it previously and it didn't bother me to much.

They also said I probably shouldn't try whilst they run the blood tests and wait till after the op but if I did fall pregnant it wouldn't be the end of the world - so I think I will carry on trying in the interim.

Homelander and choccy sounds like your both having such a hard time, it's just so sad.

swlondonnanny · 20/06/2014 10:08

Cava did they tell you what blood tests they were doing? I had an appointment a week before you and wasn't told what tests they were doing...

tannyLoo · 20/06/2014 10:09

Helloo ã??wavesã??

So, project not get obsessed with ttc is off to a flying start. Well, sort of.
Of course I'm thinking about it a lot, but I think hope it's not too obvious on the outside.

I've been doing some mindfulness meditation, which has really helped. Tiny I wondered if it might be useful for you. When I'm on the computer I'll post a link to the you tube ones I've been using.

I keep thinking about when the biopsy results will be back. Far too early yet, but I still check the post every morning Blush does this count?

Real life is pretty busy, which is helping with the not obsessing, although I'm also obsessing about making a living!

Hello people I haven't met yet!

I plan to be around a bit, but I think just on here. The ttc after mc thread can be a bit too frenetic for me these days. Well done Just for being so supportive over there!

TinyTear · 20/06/2014 10:19

I haven't joined the TTC after MC threads... Here is enough for me... Grin

And if I do fall pg, I think I will just create a PG after MC mini thread for the month... the september/october one was a good support in the last mc...

Tanny thanks for the tought, but with a 2yo when the fuck do I have time to meditate!? Confused
Grin

tannyLoo · 20/06/2014 10:24

I second the mini thread.

I do my meditation before sleep, if that's possible. They are 20 minutes long and usually I'm drifting off by the end...Smile

TinyTear · 20/06/2014 10:42

I shall have a look, thanks!

Before sleep i like reading. it's the only time i have for it...

Justonemoretime · 20/06/2014 11:21

Tanny, they'll email you :)
I mediate (sleep) during my acupuncture. I get to a very 'zen' state, anyway.
Carb loading for the 2 mile swim - quite apprehensive...

tannyLoo · 20/06/2014 12:21

Just thanks Smile! Perfect weather for the swim, and I hope you'll have towels and drinks and cake at the end! We're all rooting for you x

Here are the mindfulness tracks I've been using, but there are tons out there:

is a 10 minute quick body scan which was the first one I did. The guy reading it sounds like the book from Hitchhikers! is 20 minutes, and follows on from the one above. It's a more in-depth body scan. I've never got to the end of it Blush is 20 minutes focussing on breathing. This is Jon Kabat Zinn, who seems to be the mindfulness master. It has loads of long pauses, but I've been mostly doing this one and the one below this week, and I really like them. is 20 minutes again, but focusses on thoughts and feelings. Took me a few days to get the hang of this one, but I love it now.

They might be no use to anyone, but I thought I'd share anyway, just in case...

Right, enough of this! I've got soldering, filing and polishing of 15 rings to finish by the end of the day!

bakingtins · 20/06/2014 14:28

good luck for the swim just ! Did you see that your blog was featured by mumsnet yesterday? I had a quick read and was impressed, you write about your experiences v well. You need to flag it up on the MC board a bit, I'm sure lots of people would find it helpful.

My DH got sent on a training day this week that included some mindfulness stuff lentil knitting yoghurt weaving bollocks, according to him including the instruction to "make a cup of tea with awareness". I reckon he needs a lot of practice at that one before he can move on to anything more demanding Wink

I might give them a go, am doing a lot of sitting around mumsnetting breastfeeding.

OP posts:
tannyLoo · 20/06/2014 14:48

Lol to the lentil knitting yoghurt weaving bollocks, Baking!

I'm a "lapsed" hippy, so can still fight back the cynical monkey when needed...

Justonemoretime · 20/06/2014 17:35

Thanks Ladies. Lol, that explains a lot, I was inundated with messages of support yesterday! Glad you liked it, Baking :)
