Welcome everyone - pull up a chair! A thread for anyone who has suffered multiple miscarriages and is in need of information, moral support, tea or sympathy. Newbies very welcome.

Can we start the thread with a recap of where we are all up to again, please?

Good luck just

I did a 5 mile run for the miscarriage association last year. got about £150 which was great

TinyTear · 09/06/2014 14:10

Ow ow ow. Cramping now...

Anyway... Day 21 progesterone for 7 days and see how it goes.

Saw Prof B instead of Q.

Hyper fertility mentioned and non discerning uterus (my words) letting any old thing implant (my words again)

Let's see how it goes...

tannyLoo · 09/06/2014 14:47

Tiny, innit? Soon wears off, but if you're anything like me, you might have a funny AF. I quite liked Prof B, although I would have liked to talk more!

Glad it went OK.

swlondonnanny · 09/06/2014 15:01

Tiny at least it's all done now Smile and hopefully will get you an answer...

TinyTear · 09/06/2014 15:45

Thanks.
Been hanging about Coventry train station as I booked the dirt cheap train back and couldn't change times.

So with the day 21 progesterone, if it's a BFP do you continue with it? Not that that question will arise for another month at least... I guess when it comes to it I can email them again.

And if any of you here are the one who was with her mum (?) And just came to talk to me at the station hello! :-)

I was in a bit of a rush as after an hour waiting I suddenly realised I was in the wrong platform
:-)

swlondonnanny · 09/06/2014 16:30

Forgot to mention - after the scratch in coventry I was spotting + my period started 2 days earlier - all in all was bleeding for 10 days...

Justonemoretime · 09/06/2014 17:41

Glad it went ok Tiny, it is ouchy, isn't it? Yes, you carry on with the progesterone if you get a bfp. The scratch also caused my af to come on early by a couple of days, so don't worry if that happens. Take it easy this evening. X

tannyLoo · 10/06/2014 00:27

So, Tiny , when do you think you'll start trying again? I had promised myself I'd wait for the biopsy results, but now AF has left the building I'm wondering why I'm doing this. I do know why, but it's hard not to just go "oh what the fuck"...

Bloody ticking clock...

TinyTear · 10/06/2014 06:41

Next month...
I am giving myself one more try so want to do it quickly.

I am 40 and want to know if I can bin/sell/give to charity all the baby stuff piling up... So I can get on with things...

It's going to be frustrating as my husband wouldn't mind trying more times but he isn't the one with the physical and psychological issues coming from each miscarriage

Justonemoretime · 10/06/2014 06:42

I'd go for it, Tanny, unless they said not to, and make the most of the benefits of that scratch. You have the progesterone already? You can use that and add the other meds if and when. Good luck.

swlondonnanny · 10/06/2014 08:27

Tanny would go for it as well. I think we had results back before my next period started ( so under 5 weeks). You can always start with cyclogest and by the time you do HPT you will know if you need prednisonole as well or not.
Nothing to loose I would say

TinyTear · 10/06/2014 08:30

And yes, they said they would send the results in 4 weeks which would be before the next period anyway...

bakingtins · 10/06/2014 08:37

go for it tanny you are likely to have your results by the time you would need to start pred/clexane if you got a BFP first try. prof q told me not to wait.

tiny glad it went ok and hope it brings you answers in due course.

There is no one better placed than you guys to advise me on this one. Only you have an understanding of how hard it is to throw yourself back out there.

I have progesterone and heparin already. Progesterone from day 19 and heparin possibly from BFP. No mention of aspirin, so I won't bother with that at the moment, and if NK levels are high, and they want me on pred, I will still have time. There are no more avenues to explore or questions to ask...

And I have a business to set up and run.

And I'm easily swayed.

Project last chance, here we come... Grin

TinyTear · 10/06/2014 08:51

Prof B mentioned Heparin to me as well, but didn't give it.
Probably would be from BFP only... St Mary's told me not to take heparin, but i will leave it to them this time...

Decided not to mention too much about St Mary's as it was funny to see there is a certain rivalry... i just said i went there after mc3....

He joked I should have come to them first... and i just said that living in London was closer

tannyLoo · 10/06/2014 09:03

Yes, there does seem to be a fair amount of ego involved!

I was given heparin by my local consultant in a "throw it all at you and hope some of it sticks" moment. I have a stash in my knicker drawer!

I've broached it with DH this morning, so he'll have come round to the idea by this evening...

Does anyone know what hayfever remedies you can take when TTC? I know piriton is safe but I sleep like a baby when I take it!

bakingtins · 10/06/2014 09:03

my protocol was heparin from an early (5wk) scan once it was confirmed sac was in the right place. when you get your results they send you (emailed same day) a written treatment plan, based on which my GP prescribed the meds. I'm sure if you have problems getting them they'd do you a private prescription.

Its 9dpo and for some reason I was compelled to test this morning and I got a BFP on an IC and then another on an FRER. Faint but definitely there.

DH is away so I haven't told him yet, plus I'm not supposed to test until 14dpo, but I just KNEW.

I'm not freaking out just yet, but I know its just round the corner. I'm hoping the progesterone does the trick and when I'm scanned at 7 weeks there's a baby there. Please please please.

Can someone please hold my hand?

TinyTear · 10/06/2014 13:23

Oooh SeaSalt exciting / scary / congratulations!

Are you just on progesterone? Do you have anything else to take? Anyone else to contact regarding meds and a first scan?

Hope everything will go well!

SeaSaltMill · 10/06/2014 13:25

I'm on aspirin as well.

Thanks. I'm a bit, numb.

Once I've told DH tomorrow night, I will contact my GP (I was only there this morning!) and they will refer me for an early scan at EPU.

That's as much as I know.

bakingtins · 10/06/2014 13:28

Congratulations seasalt really hope this is your sticky one. Everything crossed for you.

SeaSaltMill · 10/06/2014 13:42

Thank you. I just want to tell DH! I wish he wasn't away!

tannyLoo · 10/06/2014 13:46

Seasalt congratulations. Really hope it's a goodun'!

SeaSaltMill · 10/06/2014 13:47

Thanks Tannyloo. Can I stick around here for a while? Its so early. SO early. I don't want to go anywhere else for a bit.

TinyTear · 10/06/2014 14:01

Definitely stick around here!

Look at baking, she just popped and still giving great advice
