Welcome everyone, pull up a chair! A thread for anyone who has suffered multiple miscarriages and is in need of company, information, moral support, tea or sympathy.

Can I suggest we start page 1 with a recap of where we are all up to, because my fuddled head can't keep track?

so sorry tanny hope they look after you well.

Iworrymyselftosleep · 23/11/2013 21:00

Oh Tanny I've been lurking since I joined this thread but I'm sad that your fears have been realised. Its that nagging knowledge that you know something is wrong. Its destroying. It hope you get home soon and can find support here in the future.

Purplefrogshoe · 24/11/2013 00:18

tanny so sorry

Justonemoretime · 24/11/2013 09:25

Baking, I'm turning my thoughts to starting to TTC again, probably in the New Year. I was thinking that I would want to have had as many tests done as possible to have all bases covered, and so I was thinking of going to see Prof Q along side my St Mary's investigations. I've had my surgery (although I don't actually think that the septum was the real problem), and I strongly suspect that bloods will show I'm 'normal'. I think it's an implantation issue with the added 45X issue with number 3. Would you have seen Prof Q sooner? Any advice you can offer would be great. Thanks.

squizita · 24/11/2013 09:49

Tanny so sorry to hear this. :( I know what you mean about just wanting it over with once you know. Hope your time in limbo is short and they sort it out asap.

On the topic of linings, mine got worse and worse after 3 losses in quick succession, I used vitamin b, d and omega oil and it slowly improved. That said, in my case it was a self made issue so to speak (not recovering between mc) not an underlying thing. Plus it took several months to recover.

nearlyreadytopop · 24/11/2013 09:54

squiz (silly question alert)Blush How can you tell what your lining is like? Does it require ultrasound or does your period reflect this?

tannyLoo72 · 24/11/2013 12:22

Thank you. I'm going to be in for another night, and bloods and scans tomorrow. I'm here because my hcg had risen but not doubled and I have been experiencing some ovary type pain.

Decision time tomorrow and hopefully, if it is ectopic, it can be managed without surgery.

Not a silly question at all! I'm interested too.

squizita · 24/11/2013 13:37

Nearly I had a scan just after my last loss and then when they did testing. The sonographers mentioned my lining as 'ok' the 1st time but 'good' the 2nd a few months later. My periods seem pretty similar in length, but are clottier now than they were.

TinyTear · 24/11/2013 14:14

oh no tanny! hope you are ok

squizita · 24/11/2013 14:30

Oh dear. So much for try ever 2 days over fertile window ... DH has put his back out. During BD 1! The irony given my back. Grin Well, next fertile window (if our "all our eggs -sperms- in one basket" attempt this month fails) peaks on 25th December which is quite cute!!

squizita · 24/11/2013 14:32

Tanny are you in hospital? :( How horrid. But at least you're safe and I suppose this decreases risk of surgery, as they can monitor. Thinking of you!

donttrythisathome · 24/11/2013 20:06

Delurking myself to say I a,m so sorry tanny. So glad you are in hospital though, obviously your health is more important than anything.

And thrilled for Baking and Butterfly (still around?).

I haven't been posting as really fed up at the mo. 6 months since the last mc, and no BFP (have AF at the mo). Finding it very hard each month when AF arrives. Just feel sad, and I know that is fine. But the age gap (now 4 and a half heading for 5) is too much, plus desperate to get out of work. The plan was mat leave, career break, find something else to do and never go back. The plan was to do this around Sept 2012!

Also did something stupid. Took too much prednislone due to inattention and disengagement and now have to wean off them this month and CAN"T TCC UNTIL THE NEW YEAR.

Anyway does anyone have any advice on whether I should do anything about TTC. At my age (40) and 6 months with BFNs, should I go to GP for advice - should I do IUI or even IVF or is there anything else?? Desperate.

donttrythisathome · 24/11/2013 20:08

TTC I meant. See, inattention.

Bakingtins · 25/11/2013 07:31

just I wish I'd been to see Prof Q in March after I got the all clear on other tests, maybe my 4th MC could have been prevented. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
You can self refer to her, you need to monitor ov and make an appointment for the clinic in Coventry 7-10 days post ov (and be def not pregnant). Clinics are Mondays and Fridays and the apps are made at short notice. It's £350, for which you get consultation, scan, uterine biopsy and endometrial scratch, result reported by phone a few weeks later and a written treatment plan.

tanny hope this is all resolved and you get some answers today. Thinking of you.

squiz oh dear! Hope once was enough!

donttry sorry you are having a hard time. It's v tough to feel you are no further forward 6 months on. No harm in approaching the GP and seeing if/when they'll do anything.

Squiz - turkey baster?!

Thanks for the kind comments. Downstairs it is sooo frustrating isn't it? I think I just need to make plans as if I was not going to get pregnant, as having your life on hold for years is just crap. I was thinking maybe some clomid might be an option for me. Will go to GP on Wed.

PicardyThird · 25/11/2013 10:53

Just popping in to say I've been bleeding. Had an inconclusive scan when it started with the world's most linguistically and possibly medically incompetent gynaecologist. It's been heavier since, though still not 'much', and latterly looked like lochia Hmm Also slight pain. I expect it's over.

Purplefrogshoe · 25/11/2013 12:44

so sorry picardy have you to get another scan?

Bakingtins · 25/11/2013 12:53

Oh no Picardy so sorry to hear that. Flowers
