Welcome everyone, pull up a chair! A thread for anyone who has suffered multiple miscarriages and is in need of company, information, moral support, tea or sympathy.

Can I suggest we start page 1 with a recap of where we are all up to, because my fuddled head can't keep track?

some!!!! What a typo!!! hope its a good omen! Blush

Notgivingup1 · 18/01/2014 10:12

That must be a good omen! just book a holiday!! It can only be good for you and I am sure would help rather than hinder. Relaxed, happy, lots of BD = good for making babies. Sorry the evil AF is on her way

DownstairsMixUp · 18/01/2014 15:53

I think a break will be nice just and thanks for the good luck message :-)

that nightmare sounds horrible squiz! I think lots of women get strange dreams when pregnant. My dreams seem a lot more vivid (I remember them a lot) but no nightmares so far. How's the knicker checking going?

Thank you all for the lovely messages.

So they dated me at between 6 weeks 6 days to 7 weeks 2 days (they said my dating scan will confirm) but there's not much in that anyway and had a strong heartbeat at 128bpm! I nearly burst into tears! It was so worth the money. I know I am not out the danger zone yet but I feel relieved to know it's ok so far.

Hi worry and nearly. I know this is an old discussion but have you got any further re investigations new pregnancies? I am a patient of Dr David Hunter in RVH and I couldn't speak highly enough of him. I have had five miscarriages, babies die in 12th week when their hearts just stop. Dr H has been brilliant with me, although I'm still waiting for my rainbow baby. RMC certainly is exceptionally lonely and particularly when there is no counselling or support group offered in NI. I pushing to change this now.

Hope it's ok for me to join this thread, looking for some information /advice and support.

History:

Mc at 6 weeks Jan 2011
Missed Mc at 9.5 weeks Nov 2014
Mc at 6 weeks Oct 2015

I am 33 and OH 46, no children

Been referred for investigation, finally, this will take 8 weeks for appointment.

So in the meantime I am looking to educate myself with the correct information regarding the tests I should be getting /asking for. I am also looking into acupuncture.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as after 3 mc in a row I am feeling helpless, scared and overwhelmed.

Xxx

Tumtimes1 · 05/11/2014 14:42

Hiya sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I too had three before getting the help I needed and I now how a little baby daughter.

So where have you been referred to?
Have you looked into any investigation yourself? Ie tests etc?

You will get there but it takes quite a bit of research on our parts I find as nhs even tho are great don't hold all the answers xx

Evahopeful39 · 25/01/2015 17:47

Hi, I've just had my 4th MC, my 3 pervious were all at 5 1/2 weeks. This latest I was told to take baby aspirin-which I did, but this time I MC at 5 weeks.
I've had numerous tests and all have come out negative. Even my GP says in her words 'You're extremely healthy' which told me nothing!
I'm seeing gynae and have had all the physical tests incl HCG and all return 'normal' results. I'm 39 now and becoming increasingly frustrated as I feel time is rapidly running out for me.
I've asked the gynae about the possibility of progesterone but I get nowhere and even my GP is surprised about this.
Does anyone have a similar story or advice as to what i can ask for next? I'm seeing my gynae in two weeks time and I want to be 'armed' with the right questions to ask.
Any ideas/advice would be great!

Hi bakingtins, thanks for directing me here.
My stats: 2 mc aged 33 both just shy of 6 weeks with ex partner. Then 3rd mc last sept after 5 1/2 wks, then told to take baby aspirin. Did so, mc again last week but this time at only 5 weeks.
Had every blood test consultant requested-all 'normal' plus had HsG and tubes all clear too. I'm beginning to think it's my uterus as each time I get cramping (I know women say that's normal, but it's quite painful) which makes me wonder if that's the problem.
I've got another app in just over a week and wondered if anyone had any advice or thoughts about what I should be asking next.
I'm 39 now and frustrated as well as acutely aware that it's "2 seconds to midnight" for me.
Any advice is gratefully received
