Would anyone be interested in a Northern Ireland meet up?

Tee2072 · 19/10/2010 17:03

19th I can do. 12th I (and Adam) have a dentist appointment!

mumoffourgirls · 20/10/2010 11:00

I think Playtime closed due to financial difficulties.. Jumping Jacks in Lisburn is good but it cost around £5 for DCs to get in and babies are free. I walk past the church cafe most days and it always seems busy Ive never been in it though. Its the Kingdom Life Church cafe @ inspirations in Graham Gardens it has a big multi story carpark beside it and a short stay car park out the front of it. Its open monday - saturday 9.30 - 4. I wouldnt advise going on a tuesday as Lisburn has its market that day and can be very busy...

dingdong3 · 20/10/2010 16:56

I agree mumoffourgirls...Jumping Jacks does work out expensive. The cafe is the Kingdom one you've described so well! It's great, especially if you get in before 10am when it's quieter. The ladies are lovely and the coffee is good. It's nice also as people can come and go for the meet up - no one is restricted the one hour or whatever you pay for in the play areas.

Friday the 19th Nov then?

booooooooooyhoo · 21/10/2010 16:38

sounds good. i can do 9.30 if that is a better time to meet?

TryLikingClarity · 23/10/2010 21:08

I can do most times. DS has a nap around 9:30am, so by the time I drive from Glengormley-Lisburn he will be able to nap in the car.

I'd like to go to the church place, sounds nice.

As the only Christian in the NI meet-up group I'd like a wee nosey round another church, see how it differs to my church :)

Tee2072 · 24/10/2010 16:51

Sounds good to me as well, if I can get there!

Anyone have an exact address so I can check out bus schedules?

TLC you're the only Christian on this thread? Really?!?!? (I'm Jewish, BTW. [hgrin])

Tee2072 · 24/10/2010 16:52

Also, anyone have a link to our Christmas meet up thread? I can't find it!

2boysandbean · 24/10/2010 16:57

TryLikingClarity · 25/10/2010 08:20

Tee I'm not 100% sure about anyone else, but if there are any other active Christian's I'd like to know.

MamaMary · 25/10/2010 12:42

Hello all! Just checked in to this thread again. Not sure if I can make Lisburn - it's a bit far from where I am... :C

TLC I'm a Christian!

Tee2072 · 25/10/2010 16:19

Thanks for the link TLC and the address mumoffourgirls!

I'll see if Adam and I can get there easily or not.

TryLikingClarity · 25/10/2010 16:28

MamaMary :) Sorry for saying I was the only one, that wasn't a smart thing to say.

Lisburn is a good 20-25 miles from where I live, so I'd imagine that it's a good deal further from you. :(

You coming to the Christmas meet-up for us ladies, without our DCs?

mumoffourgirls Is that the church you go to? I just had a look at the website, looks lovely! Very well put-together site.

CarrickG1rl · 25/10/2010 16:40

Hi all, thanks for the welcome :) sorry i haven't been on but lost the page and finally found it again using the search at the top. I'm not sure how to use mumsnet Confused

is there any way of linking it to my profile?

Hopefully you's will be organising another meet soon

:)

TryLikingClarity · 25/10/2010 18:43

If you post a comment on a thread you can use the 'I'm On' along the top search bar. That'll make it much quicker to find each time. However, it only lasts for about a week, so you'll have to keep dipping back into the thread to mark your place.

We're going to have another meet-up on 19th November in Lisburn, if you fancy it.

mumoffourgirls · 25/10/2010 19:19

Never been to the church TLC, just walk past it most days.. I just know the address, name and opening times of the cafe but ive never been in it, it also sells books from what I have seen. Ive lived in Lisburn all my life so I know it well...

TryLikingClarity · 25/10/2010 19:57

mumoffour Cool, I had a look at the map and have worked out where it is. I've never been in it either, but I used to work in Lisburn so I know whereabouts it is located.

Looking forward to it :)

poobumfartbollocks · 26/10/2010 15:50

Hi girls....back online after a few days away at my parents...another week without internet. I'm getting good at this!
Just a suggestion for not losing threads, I click on 'Watch this thread' at the top of the thread and it keeps it in your watched thread list for weeks - I'm guessing until it gets archived by MN. I have this thread and the Christmas one on it - it's great as I don't go on MN every day and would lose threads otherwise.

Hope everyone's well...looking forward to the Lisburn meet up - sorry it's a bit far for some of you [hsad]

booooooooooyhoo · 30/10/2010 23:57

WhenKevinMetSadie · 09/11/2010 21:54

Hello all.

Haven't been on in a while; RL has been hectic!

Might not make meet-up on 19th as DH is off work, so we'll probably be doing some family stuff. Sad to miss you all again.

Will let you know if things change & we can make it.
