Hello!

Ok so the plan is a child free yummy dinner. Small babies who can't be left are of course allowed.

Dates? Am assuming Fri/Sat nights are going to be best so

4th, 5th, 11th, 12th 18th or 19th December. Start telling us what you can't do and we can narrow it down!

Venues? I'd suggest the Gourmet Spot (because I love it) but dh might kill me as we are planning a visit to celebrate a sleeping dd (whenever that happens ) Where is good? Doesn't have to be an overtly Christmassy meal does it? Just something nice, fun as a crowd and a break from "family friendly" aka pizza and pasta.

And of course a sign up list!

Indith

Please point eveyone you see over here, lets try to gather the troups!

spiggy that email address doesn't work, although I could just be doing it wrong somehow. Mine is aliciajduffy at googlemail dot com, could you try emailing me?

StealthPolarBear · 06/11/2009 08:30

have just had a lightbulb moment
I cant make the 5th (assuming it's a saturday - tell me if it's friday, easier than flipping over the calendar )
it's MIL's surprise birthday party, which i'm helping to organise, and presumably expected to attend
it will be afternoon i think but miles away, dont think i can count on getting back in time
if the 5th happens to be fri then i can come, but her actuakl birthday's the 3rd, which i think is thurs

sorry indith especially

Indith · 06/11/2009 11:06

i just meant the lift - not my sparkling conversation, you're subjected to that often enough as it is
my child will not sleep!!

Indith · 06/11/2009 11:30

your conversation is lovely SPB.

Maybe she has been getting ideas from D Bring her over if you want a break. Mind you W was sick last night and has spent the morning flopping and watching Rainbow on DVD so it might be a risk you don't want to take.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 06/11/2009 11:58

she is finally in her basket
apart from the neighbours you are the only person we know round here so why does the doorbell always ring in the small window of time when she's asleep!
Poor W, hope he's better soon - has he been sick today?

Indith · 06/11/2009 12:29

I think it is part of the law that dictates that as a mother you shall not actually get the chance to rest even if your children are asleep. The same law that caused dh to come home from the pub last night, walk into our bedroom and say "so has ds been sick again?" thus waking me up and ruining my only chance of the night to have an uninterrupted hour.

No sick today so hopefully that is it! Dd was at it earlier this week, I had thought we were getting off lightly but clearly ds was keeping us on our toes.

BouncingTurtle · 06/11/2009 15:13

Much to my utter shock, ds actually slept through last night to 5.30!!

I can't see him doing it again tonight though

Indith · 06/11/2009 15:28

woohoo!

By the way what time is best?

7.30?Certainly gives me enough time to bf dd to sleep before I go.

She sometimes goes til 11 without waking for a feed now so I hope she gets a little more reliable before the 5th! Was 9.30 last night I'd be pushing it to eat and get home by then!

BouncingTurtle · 06/11/2009 17:19

Oh bloody hell DS normally has a bf before bed! I think he'll have to do without it for one night - DH can put him to bed. He has done so once before when I was working.
I'll need to leave at 6.30pm to get there for 7.30 especially if I am picking Teamonster up.

Indith · 06/11/2009 17:27

Are you sure BT? Can always book for a bit later.

spiggy · 07/11/2009 08:44

sorry lissy email seems to have died on me, I can't get access either. will email you from work on monday!

BouncingTurtle · 07/11/2009 13:35

Could we make 8pm? That should be okay.

That's not too late for everyone?

Indith · 07/11/2009 13:50

Any advance on 8pm?

Otherwise I shall book a table at the Capital (on Claypath) for 8pm on Saturday 5th December. Meet from 7.15 ish in the Market Tavern (in the Market Place) for a drink then pootle over to the Capital for curry

Damn. I just actually looked at a calendar. If the baby waits until the booked section date I may be in Preston on the 5th. I have agreed to go and stay with family two weeks after the baby is born for a week. Obviously anything could happen in the meantime though, so nothing is definite.

stickylittlefingers · 08/11/2009 11:26

Hi - just checking back in again... I'm feeling a bit left out and broody cos I don't have a small one or anyone on the way...

All arrangements thus far work well for me, tho Thanks Indith!

BouncingTurtle · 08/11/2009 12:00

Perfect...will probably park at Prince Bishops.

Indith · 08/11/2009 19:41

Tsk Lissy, family can wait do they not know how important we are?

slf you want to borrow mine? I'll lend you dd for a couple of nights that'll sort your broody feelings out!

OP posts:
BouncingTurtle · 08/11/2009 20:09

Teamonster - do you still want that lift?

TeaMonster · 08/11/2009 23:17

Bouncing Tutle a lift would be great. I am further south than you (Skelton) so could drive to you and leave car there. If that is OK

spiggy · 09/11/2009 13:33

quickly hopping on at work. All plans good for me, thanks Indith.

Lissy will email you now and keep my fingers crossed that baby behaves and times its arrival so you can make it!

BouncingTurtle · 09/11/2009 14:03

That'll be fine Teamonster, come for about 7ish?

BouncingTurtle · 12/11/2009 15:01

Bump!!
