West Midlands Anual Picnic in Sutton Park.

Is anyone interested in joining us this year?

This will be the fifth year of the picnic which usually takes place in August. We usually meet at town gate under a large green gazebo. There is space for the children to play football, a small stream where they could paddle, a children's play area and a small kiosk selling Ice-cream.

Please add your details and availability to the list.

I am at full time work now, sadly, the only week I have off is in August, due to DS1 being 9 on the 6th August, we are going away from 31st July to 3rd August, and then going away again 7th - 9th August, DS1's birthday is 6th August.

So only really leaves 4th or 5th August, but Mummyhill I can see you in that week anyway.

Are you all mostly from Sutton / Birmingham? Know yr from telford, lissie. Have 'chatted' with you on here - mostly on mc / hut threads

Anyhow be nice to meet up. That playground in sutton park now is ace

At least the roads are good here, we're closeish to family in Yorkshire, and Notts, and not far from friends in Oxford and Cambs too!
Unfortunately for you personnel can go pretty much anywhere, its not a limited trade.
I was told at DH first posting 'flower where you're planted' which I've had to do. We thought we'd struck gold when posted to Leeming nr my parents and it was our worst 6 mnths in the RAF! At least we weren't there long, but thats another story....
