Is anyone interested in joining us this year?

This will be the fifth year of the picnic which usually takes place in August. We usually meet at town gate under a large green gazebo. There is space for the children to play football, a small stream where they could paddle, a children's play area and a small kiosk selling Ice-cream.

Please add your details and availability to the list.

Mummyhill - DD age 7 DS age 3 Available anytime in August.

is anyone going by train and want to meet at new street?

WinnieThePooh · 18/08/2009 14:09

Good luck ladyem.

It might just be me and DD2 as mum and dad are looking after my nephew next week and they are wanting to take him and DD1 to West Midlands Safari Park on Wednesday.

OracleInaCoracle · 20/08/2009 17:20

what time?

WinnieThePooh · 20/08/2009 22:23

Lissie, mummyhill has asked if we can all arrive around 12 noon.

OracleInaCoracle · 22/08/2009 10:24

ok, see you there!!

Whimsy · 23/08/2009 10:06

Mummyhill - Can I just make a request that we don't set up camp by an Ice-cream van or a merry-go-round, as ds2 will freak and will want to go home if he see's one

lissielou - We shall be going by train, I will message you

masonicpixiesreadthedailymail · 23/08/2009 16:23

hope all has gone well for you Ladyem

this is at town gate innit? Say its a really lovely day and park is busy, how will I know who you are? I'd feel a bit daft asking 'are you mummyhill and the mumsnet crew?' to any group with kids and a gazebo

mummyhill · 24/08/2009 09:29

Will do my best Whimsy love although I think there is usually an ice cream truck on the car park. I can't wait to see the boys it seems like ages since I last saw you all.

masonicpixiesreadthedaily... Look for a green gazebo under a tree by the visitor centre car park.

We are so excited, ds has put in his picnic order ready! will check in tomorrow am.

anyone who wants to meet at new street and go to sutton coldfield together email me on lissie _ g78 at yahoo dot co . uk

LilRedWG · 25/08/2009 19:39

We'll be there weather permitting. I'm not normally a wuss, but DD has another chest infection and I don't really want her out in the rain too much.

Whimsy · 25/08/2009 20:34

See you all tomorrow, lissielou I will text you in the morning

mummyhill · 25/08/2009 21:28

Everyone check in here in the morning please. If rain is torrential we will have to cancel but if just showers we should be ok to go ahead. I need to know by 10am at the latest if people are pulling out cause I don't want to be sat there billy no mates lol!

OracleInaCoracle · 26/08/2009 08:29

are we still on? raining here!

Whimsy · 26/08/2009 08:34

What's happening are we still on? Or are we going to arrange for another day?

mummyhill · 26/08/2009 08:35

The forecast is that it should ease off a bit so I am loading the gazebo in the car! We can always abandon ship and go for a walk round the town centre which has a covered shopping arae if we get there and decide it's too wet.

OracleInaCoracle · 26/08/2009 08:36
